We got to bring home the cutest bird today (luckily we got him on sale!)Update - came back after 3 weeks and met the owner Dawn and her husband who graciously helped me adopt the perfect little cockatiel. Even helping me carry the stuff to my car. The bird stepped up to me on the first day I got him. I can tell he was well taken care of from birth

Wonderful place ! Went today looking for a parrot to gift my mom not sure what I was looking for! Jenny was wonderful she asked me what I was looking for told her a parrot for my mom that is friendly and sweet ! She took me to the perfect 3 month old green cheek conure sweet as pie ! She even had a purple cage that I wanted to complete moms surprise! Jenny was an Angel just like my sister in heaven named Jenny like her !! 🙏🏻💜🌈🦋

I just went through a few weeks ago and I originally wanted to buy just one Budgie bird and I was obsessed with the deal that they were giving me so they have buy one get one free so I bought two and got two free I walked out with a total of four birds and they are so precious they’re so colorful and I love them so much! I loved the store so much because their focus is only on birds and birds need to get the recognition just as much as any other pets.They have a variety of toys in cages and sizes and colors and everything is very affordable too of course a bit more pricey but it’s such a lovely story and also the people that work there are very friendly and very helpful and I definitely recommend to buy birds or food or toys!

Very bad service, do not go to this store. Felipe is a very rude man in serving customers. Yesterday I went to buy some parakeets and he was trying to sell something that I was not looking for and he was very rude because it was time for his lunch and I almost pushed him out of the store and that we would return in 2 hours and apart from the fact that I made the comment about another store, he only mentioned very rudely that I should go to another place but that in the end the parakeets were not going to live long, how about you see The next day he could die just because he did not want to buy a more expensive bird and something that I was not looking for very Bad customer service in this store, avoid going.

The owner of this store was so nice and this is where I got my Indian ringed green parrot named kiwi (I named him that) and I believe he was 2 or 3 months old when I got him he is now 4 months old and is now almost fluently saying his name! I was amazed that I got my first talking parrot at such a small unknown store, but I think it should known 100 times more than it is.Though he is still a bit scared of me because I visit him once a week for 2/3 days, I understand that! And I hope that this place and it’s owner will once become famous!

Came in twice the last couple of weeks. The first time I met the owner- I was inquiring about birds since my GCC passed away recently. An adult Meyer's parrot joined our family so I came in again, and Felipe gave me advice on acclimation and helped me choose a food. My parents have a CAG and a Sun that we got as babies in 2001, my GCC that passed away was a baby in 2007, so it's been many years since I dealt with acclimation. I very much appreciate the advice given. Service is great.

Purchased a couple of hand raised parakeets from this store. They are very healthy and comfortable with people! The little babies will stand on my hand and shoulder and have acclimated very well to their new environment.

This is by far my Favorite Aviary! They have very knowledgeable staff. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. I chose to buy my conure from them because they are trustworthy and their birds are in great condition! They make the process easy and they always give the best advice!

Canoga Discount Birds is a great store to get birds. A few days ago I adopted a hand fed baby parakeet and today they had some nice playtime outside the cage for the first time. Instead of going to chain petstores such as Petco and Petsmart, give this place a try. The employees are very patient with customers and give great advice.

I go here to get my Lovebird and my Cockatiel groomed. They do a great job, and have wonderful birds for sale, as well as an awesome selection of bird-toys for all sized birds, and practically anything you may need for your avian companions...from cages & perches, to treats, food, and nutritional supplements. Canoga Discount Birds is my go to bird store!

Do not get me wrong I LOVE this store! I know how hard it is to keep allll those bird cages clean, they are doing their best and I appreciate that. Every time I am in the area I stop by because… it’s an awesome store. However, the guy worker Felipe I believe is not the nicest guy around town. I find myself avoiding visiting the store if he is there which breaks my heart. I know everyone has bad days so I tried again and again and every time he is rude. I will most certainly always support this store as I love the owner and the other employees. I just wish Felipe was not so rude :( I hope he can find his happiness in life so I can visit all the time not just the days he isn’t there. There prices are great, selection is great and the other employees offer support at the ask of a question. I appreciate this stores efforts to bring knowledge and expertise to this community. We lack bird stores in the valley and this store makes up for the loss. I just hope Felipe can cheer up:) Please support your local small businesses like this one!!

All birds are wonderful in their own way from wherever they come from but this is the place where I was given my first budgie and have since gotten 3 more. Always a joy to visit and see all the different types of birds they hold.

Very rude store owner. The birds are blatantly overpriced for no reason. The parakeets are treated worse than petco. I've bought 3 parakeets all three have been slow and the owner lied to my face saying my bird won't recognize color but it did. This place needs a reality check.

Great store carries neet stuff for my Lovebird although the customer service is poor. And I have a testimony going into this store and can confirm. That Felipe is NOT the man for the job he was cool at first and told great advice how to avoid my Birds Multing. Then the last few times I visited with my Mom he became rude. I went to buy millet and have been a loyal customer in this establishment. And I wanted pay credit card and since this place has a 10$ minimum for a UnGodly reason. Instead I paid cash so Felipe called me stingy in Spanish and was comparing me to his family member. Which is unexpectable so I told him off. "Look I pay what I can thank you I am me and your Mom is your Mom!" I came again to see who could do the beak triming. And Surprise we all know who Felipe wrost person ever. He checked bird before doing his beak and said "I cannot do it because of his swollen bump ." Which is Not contagious at all it was just clogged nose whole. He could have done the job but he didn't so he recommended us to dr Mohlar which he is expensive and told me in Spanish "If you cannot afford to go to the vet imagine me who couldn't afford to send money to my Grandma who is dead and have to pay the funeral costs.?!" And said" Your bird is going to die if you can't pay for a vet." Wow very synical and delusional loser of imployee your company hired. Let's hope he doesn't end up in hospital bed one day. Plus thank God literally and the Grace of God that my bird is still alive today and luckily had tools to trim my Birds beak and a sernge with liquid to unclogging my birds nose. Praise God and also hope and pray your business doesn't go down because what comes around goes around.

Sad way the birds adopted by the store, not for sale, are kept. Some cages too small. One bird is now plucking due to lack of social interaction. They say bird is mean but seems so needy for affection.Seems all baby birds get good care but again, no social interaction before adopted out.I'm looking to adopt 2 birds but will not get them from canoga discount birds.I found a place, Omar's exotic birds in mission Viejo, where they socialize their baby birds with people (customers). You can hold and interact with the birds, which are out in full reach for the customers. The baby birds are very friendly and love to cuddle and be held without biting. The Employees are super friendly and you can tell how much they love the birds. Of course, it is quite a drive from where I live, but WELL WORTH it!At Canoga Discount the employees are nice and answer questions.

Hi everyoneI just wanna start from beginning.I called in the 1st time to the store and ask for the price of double yellow head Amazon and the person with name Philip give me the price $4000.When I went to the store he said the price is $5000 because I was potential buyer. I already got frustrated from that moment. I made a deposit for my bird because it was very active and very good bird. Besides thet I payed for DNA and disease test. Still didn't got anything after 3 month and they keep saying I didn't pay for that. Besides that I bought the stand and paid for metal feeders because stand came with plastic ones. Phillip keep saying I never pay for that. This store is based on lying be very very careful!!!!

Great service with some friendly staff members that dont bug you and let you roam around and pick out toys but they will always be around if you need help.Prices were amazing on feed and toysThe same bag of feed that i buy for $25 was $17.99 at this storeAnd prices on toys are as low as online pricesIf i have one suggestion for store management it would be dusting the toys a little every here and there other then that everything was greatThank you Canoga Discount Birds

Hi thereWe bought amazon parrot from this store and paid Philip to do the DNA and disease test. After waiting two months we got super frustrated and ask them about the results and get the answer “you didn't pay for that”. Then after a couple days the manager called us and said we're gonna take care of that.After waiting another three weeks nobody called us.We didn't take our bird for a boarding because this is very unreliable store.Besides that my husband has the verbal agreement and they were lying about that as well and still keeping money.Be very careful with your verbal agreement in this store!!!!Very poor and unprofessional service!

I purchased two cockatiels from here many years back when they were in Reseda or Winnetka can't remember but service was always good. I recently dropped by to get treats for my mom's cockatiel and I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful birds on display. I was shocked to see a toucan because I've only seen them on TV. There's a beautiful pink and white bird named Abby sucks that I don't remember the breed but it captured my attention. The gentleman that was so informative and assisted me was awesome. Taking my mom next time so she too can be in awe. The green baby parrot is a Sun Conure I purchased. She's 1 now and gorgeous. I love her to death.

I found this place by accident. I was hopelessly lost looking for another store on Sherman Way and wandered into this store about eight years ago. Everyone was so nice that I came back a few more times. This is one of the best bird stores I have been to, and it is the store from which my bird was purchased. I do not get the this store as much as I used to.The birds, the knowledgeable people who work here, and the products they sell are all very good.Once I walked into the back door past the nursery where the babies are kept I was sure I wanted one of the birds. The employees talked to me about the birds for about six visits over one month or so. When I was ready to buy the bird I took her home. They have groomed her and helped me several times with various questions and problem.The store is first class, as are the people who own and run it.

Hands down the best bird store I've been to and not just saying it. Been to many around the valley but time and time again this one always impresses me at every visit. The employees that work here are always very helpful and friendly and are very approachable with any question you might have. They are always fully stock with everything bird related and they always have many different birds for purchase as well. Even though they are a drive from where I live, I don't mind because I know I'll find what I need for a good price. Definitely give them a try you won't regret it.
