This is not my local 99 cent store but I was in this area and decided to check it out. Beware and check the prizes because most things are NOT 99 cents.This store was not as clean as others I have been to and not sure if I came on a bad day but the shelves were pretty empty and not stocked.They had a decent selection of vegetables and other frozen foods which seemed to be pretty popular among the shoppes.I bought a water fan and a new potato peeler. They have a variety of different items in their kitchen area.They have a good deal on their birthday cards and bags which is the main reason I usually head into the store.Very small parking lot with limited parking.

I was so disappointed today when I went shopping, they didn't have any sugar and they haven't for a while. I know it might sound petty but c'mon NO SUGAR. And I asked 2 employees and they were so rude. They acted like I was imposing by asking if they had a product in the store. Most of the employees are really Rude. I will continue to shop there because I live close by. But please hire some nice employees. I usually find everything I need. But nothing is 99 cents anymore, I get it, inflation, everything has gone up, still it's a good store.

I don't know what happened to this place, but it went from being a great store to the worst one. They never have anything needed in stock (basics like sugar), everything has become over priced (what's the point of calling yourself 99 cent store?), and now the lines are incredibly long (stretching all the way to the back of a very large store). Not sure if it's management, the owners or what, but even the employees seem to know this place is garbage. As much as it's harder to do, I'll be going up to Northridge to the one on Tampa. They don't have these issues.

Good variety, affordable and acceptable quality. Sad to know they are closing down for good. Bargain hunters cleaned out the store. There isn't much left now.

Great products!! Some products are more expensive than other!! You would have to take some time to choose the best product.Plenty of Christmas decorations. Service is ok.Difficult to find parking sometimes. Highly recomended.

The 50 something year old stupid lady who rides the 7:30pm bus towards burbank on vanowen who was wearing a 99 cent store apron literally had an extra long question for the bus driver and wouldnt let me pay or get a seat, she was completely oblivious and I will be sure to go into 99 cent store and give her an extra extra hard time and give her a real piece of my mind.

Local 99cents store never disappoints for the basic holiday essentials! With $5 I will decorate my desk at work & I will have enough left over to bring fall cheer to decorate the entire office! Store is clean and employees are always friendly!

Well this is one of the nicest 99 Cent Stores I've seen you walk in everything is very clean well-lit large selection good produce section I would say this will probably be the best one in the valley.... they also have products that I liked and bought a year ago I've been looking at other 99 Cent Stores can't find them but I found them here for some reason km

A huge 99 Cents store with dry goods, condiments, vegetables, candy - you name it, everything you could possibly need for an incredibly cheap price. Super friendly and helpful staff as well.

The 99 cents store is a magical place . Not only for the poor but for those of us that must be careful with our money. A 99 cent store makes you feel like a king. Buy anything you want, fill up on stuff you need and best of all things you don't need but want. This store is a good one, different stuff . It's Clean and stocked . Most of all if you haven't heard most stuff is only 99 cents. What a score

One of the better 99's around. Always seems to have a little better stuff or more of it. Less empty shelves. Ice is not melted and re-frozen like many of the other stores.Today, a long time from my last visit. They now have one line and call out the next available register. Works well unless some privileged whoever doesn't get in the line and cuts everyone off, there's always one.

Really bad experience I went there to buy some food the tortillas has dog piss the cashiers act arrogant and they over price I had a box of cookies they were mark 3.99 when I got to the register it was 23.99 even I ask the cashier why that price,if it was Mark on the shelf 3.99 and she laugh and she said " with 3.99 it's not even the box" they over price their stuff employees are rude management need proper training and their crew need training as well in costumer service also some areas are really messed up no stockers they need better personnel

I LOVE 99¢ stores. However, in recent times not only that they source items that cost well above the spoken 99¢ (some items can get to $30!!!), But also the overall management and quality of customer service went down the drain. Not sure if it's this specific location or others as well but I went to this location on De-Soto and Vanowen. In all the years that I go to 99¢ I've never seen such disorganization, lack of products on shelves (I mean literally empty shelves), and it seems like the employees didn't really care if you're stealing or not (as I witnessed a few people stealing and employees did nothing!!!). Overall, very disappointed. Dollar Tree seems to be much better nowadays value wise, selection/variety, customer service, etc.

Please check use by date before buying bread from 99 cents. Went today and saw all breads have use by date before today's date which is March 5th 2018. Not sure if this is fine practice. Please excuse me for posting this, if this is known practice

Prices hard to find. Fairly clean. 99 on dock. Not much parking in the mini mall. Very large but not a huge variety. I couldn’t find two of the three things I came there for. I thought for sure they would just have a headband. Ended up spending so much more money because I had no way to know what the price was.

I honestly enjoy the store that has everything that I want I like staying in there for hours at a time looking at all the new products that they put out every single month it's very nice customer service as well and everything runs smoothly while you're shopping experience is coming into place

I used to love coming here, but sadly that isn’t the case. The current employees have long lines and go even slower than usual.And forget about hygiene. Wyat in particular like to wipe off sweat and snot unto the items. I can’t bare having someone wipe snot and sweat and wipe himself on my stuff.Please practice proper hygiene.

This store used to be good. It smells like the Veterinary I used to take my dog to when I was a kid. I don't feel confident that the people operating the store are sanitary or that the foods are properly refrigerated. Needs improvement...

Would've been 5 stars if they had been following the Covid 19 rules and had better parking. This location has terrible parking so go on off hours. The stock is VERY good and they have all items that are more than 99¢ clearly marked with the price. The staff are nice and will answer questions on stock, just expect a quick response as they move on. They are minimum wage and overworked, give em a break. Even when there is a long line the checkers are fairly quick

Great quick stop for all your shopping needs at a much lower price. However, please keep in mind that you may find brands to which are unfamiliar. Nonetheless, it's a way most shoppers can save money. Also noticed that most of these locations have begun to expand their inventory in the area of electronics and hardware tools. I'd say it's a great way in beating its mainstream competitors!

I love this place everything almost everything is cheap employees are very nice they help you find items can’t complain i just love this place but at night they should have a security guard though I’m disable and a homeless guy approach me in parking lot asking for money got mad I told him I didn’t have cash he cus me out I felt a little afraid and threaten they should put a security guard to take care the parking especially at night other then that I love to shop here

The last few weeks I have been visiting this location sence I lived in the area and seeing no changes inside the store the management or ownership has changed and the workers inside and I have not seen any good changes at this location the last few days I have walked in to look for some things I have been hoping to see on there racks or shelf's and it's been the same things nothing different no new management or ownership to show any positive changes for this location store
