First the drive to Cambria is a must. The HART cat rescue is right off Main St., can't miss the building.Inside is a small but well stocked cat related gift shop, where you can find treasures related to cats.Plenty of parking off the main drag. I'm not sure about handicap parking.Everyone was exceptionally pleasant, inviting and informed about adoption of cats and kittens. Staff also knows about the rescue's history and health. You leave with a detailed packet regarding your new best friend. That's helpful when you see your own veterinarian.The place is clean, no kitty smells. Had a catco for cats to get fresh air and lay in the sun. Very thoughtful.If you want to adopt, please check their website for hours and adoption fees.Yes, I did see an elderly cat on their website and knew she needed me. GiGi and I are getting along just fine. She rules this household.

Cats are well taken care of, happy, and the employees are all wonderful. Highly recommend to stop here if you plan to visit Cambria.

Dec 2020 This is a great place! It is clean & cheerful & has a gift shop. All the cats are well-cared for, happy & are not kept in cages. There are plenty of toys, scratching posts, wall shelves & cat trees available. If you want to adopt an adult cat, this is the place. Hart relies on donations & volunteers, so, IMO, this is a worthwhile place to support with either your time or money.

An impressive shelter for a relatively small town. Well run, with an educated group making sure the cats are getting the best care possible. They do all they can to keep the cats healthy while still allowing visitors, have well thought out rooms that give the cats comfort and stimulation, and they have one of the best shelter gift shops that I've seen.

Every time we go to Cambria we try to drop by and visit Hart. They have quite a good selection of cats and a shop full of knickknacks that one can purchase. They have an excellent staff and you can see that they really want to be there and to help the people and the cats. The one thing that stands out about Hart is how clean and well-maintained the facility is. Their animals are healthy, well cared for and happy. If you have a chance 2 visit Cambria do take a minute to stop by. Hey Survive on the people's generosity and believe me they are doing a great job.

Non profit cat rescue with lots of kittens, adult and senior cats. Well kept, no kill shelter. Separate areas for kittens and cats where they roam outside cages. Separate area for ailing animals. All volunteer and always looking for more to help out. Donations needed to care for the animals.
