Meaghan groomed our dog Wags today and is the only groomer my dog will allow to do anything to him. He loves her so much. She took time to build a bond with him over the past year and her work is better than any groomer we've ever been to. She truly loves our dog as if he were hers and he loves her. He's terrified of grooming with anyone so it shows how amazing she is. His haircut is so so good. He was a mess with long curls, tangles; but now he looks adorable. His hair is soft as velvet too. Thank you so much Meaghan. No one comes close to being as good as you are!!!!!

This review is specifically for both groomers. I briefly spoke to Shawna when I dropped off my dog to be groomed by Meaghan, and Shawna was a delight so this has nothing to do with her or her shop.Both groomers displayed unprofessional behavior, making passive comments about my dogs prong collar, which I reiterated at the last visit that it’s not too tight, it’s meant to self correct behavior as my doodle is a rescue and needs that tool that was given by her professional trainer. I’ve taken my pet to Meagan since October 2023 and followed her to this salon. We had a arrangement of pricing by taking my pet every 2 weeks to get either bathed or groomed, she is the one that said my pet no longer needed to come that frequent but failed to update me on the pricing. Her pricing always fluctuated. A visit from a month ago she charged me $110 and this visit $160, I asked why the increase and she couldn’t give me a straight forward response but kept circling around labor and my dogs behavior. And today was the worst service she’s given, I heard her snappy tone with my pet before she noticed I was waiting right by the door and instantly switched to a baby voice. After going back and fourth we settle for $140, I pay and then 10 minutes later I get bombarded by 1 long paragraph, followed with 2 separate text messages from Meaghan and she had to throw it in my face she trained my dog to be use to grooming and that my dog peed on her.. safe to say we’ll be taking her elsewhere especially after I’ve been accommodating to her situations, she has flaked on an appointment, when she first moved to Petropolis, with no notice after I tried reaching her for an hour and other appointments were always moved around. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

The staff were very helpful. They have a nice variety of enrichment toys and treats and my dog enjoyed his lick mat very much! Definitely will visit again

Petropolis, with their wonderful, friendly staff is my favorite pet store ever. It's just the right size, with everything you need, without having that impersonal big box store feel. It's really nice to have a local business right here in Camarillo to offer up great products and excellent customer service to all of us pet lovers. Bravo Petropolis!

A great local pet store. They have high end food options and a great selection of toys and accessories for pets. Also, the staff is excellent and provides individualized help. I believe they still have an amazing return policy as well. I highly recommend you stop by and check out their options.

Petropolis is pricey, but hey, it's literally the price we pay to have small town service so close to the ocean. They stock primal, raw foods, and several difficult to source brands if you don't use the internet.

Great little shop with lots of choices be and samples of kibble. I would like to see more raw food choices tho, since that's the kind of biologically appropriate food that our pets should be eating!
