We stayed here to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary. We chose the suite with the whirlpool. What a cozy hotel with a delicious homemade biscuit upon arrival and a practical and very tasty breakfast. Next year we will be back. We love the reception team, the people who work at breakfast and cleaning the hotel. All the employees are very helpful and made our experience wonderful. It exceeded all expectations.

A very well located hotel on the edge of Calistoga. I was able to leave my car in the car park for the 2 days I was here as everything is within walking distance.A very nice breakfast is included in our stay which was a nice bonus.

The Bergson was a really sweet place to stay. The room was a bit small, but very clean. Loved the bath products they used, loved that they had a white noise machine in the room. Loved that it was walking distance to the main street in town.Breakfast was really a very light snack.

An awesome inn- type of hotel in Calistoga, CA, the room was set up like a studio. Private entrance and outdoor patio/seating. Very clean and spacious. The staff was the friendliest I've encountered. Everything is within walking distance on a level main street. Across the street is one of the best Hispanic Market/Deli's we've eaten at (we ordered 3x to go & enjoyed the patio seating at our room). The Bergson also provided fresh coffee and pastries during breakfast hours. In addition, there were plenty of USB ports and remotes for air and heat.

Calistoga is a nice town and we had a good stay at the Bergson. I was a bit surprised that there is a main house and then smaller houses/buildings surrounding the parking lot with the rooms. The rooms were clean, well equipt and lovely done. Loved they had l'occitane for shampoo etc. The rooms were not noisy despite the hotel is next to a road with quite heavy traffic. The roomw were a bit dark and don't have a view worth writing about. The breakfast was alright lots of different things to choose from but no hot meals. We went to farmstead restaurant for dinner that was brilliant. Recommend you book wine tasting in napa ahead of your stay.

Such a cute place to stay. We were very relaxed and are already planning our next trip here. Very close to the downtown area and an easy walk to lots of great restaurants and shops. Our room did get a little too hot at night but overall still a great stay. Nice little breakfast in the morning as well.

We had a wonderful two nights here! The rooms are immaculately clean, and elegantly remodeled. Attention is given to every detail. The shower was beautiful and the tub a piece of art with its external supply pipe. I confess the drought has reduced the shower stream to just a trickle so you have to run around to get wet, but that's just good conservation. The bed was comfortable and our room had a separate living room with a beautiful fireplace that ran on a timer. We had a patio on our room and used it for each breakfast. The reception area has beautiful tables and a fountain outside but with COVID we had to pick up our breakfast and eat it on this patio. That was fine and the breakfast items were great. There were muffins and oatmeal and toasted bagels and orange juice and milk and coffee and hot chocolate and fruit and granola and yogurt. The owner Steve Patel, was personally helpful to us. All of the wineries seem to be booked up, but standing in the parking lot he made a quick call to Bennett Lane and arranged an appointment for us. That turned out to be magnificent but that's another story. I couldn't recommend the Bergson more, and my wife claims she would go no place else when we return.

We had a fabulous stay. The room was clean end ready for us even though we arrived early. The room was quiet and peaceful. The staff were courteous, attentive, and know the area well. Breakfast was also really good, especially as a grab-and-go. This will be our hotel every time we go to Calistoga.

We had a lovely stay in our King Room with a balcony. It was very spacious, had a fireplace and jetted tub for two. The room was equipped with all the amenities we needed. Continental breakfast was very filling and I loved the avocado offering.

This place is a hidden gem in Napa and absolutely a rare find. It is within 15 minutes from the best wineries, and walking distance to the town for dining and shopping. The staffs are so so so friendly, and they really make me feel at home. Room is nicely prepared with good quality beddings, shampoo and conditioner. The entire place is very well taken care of with European style architecture, landscaping and decor. The complimentary breakfast has plenty of healthy choices, nothing fancy but a very nice way to start the day.

I will definitely be coming back with my wife to the Bergson on an anniversary trip! We stayed only one night, but the aesthetics, bed & breakfast vibes, price, and privacy were all big pluses. We rented a Tesla to drive up to Napa from San Francisco, and there was even a very convenient charger in front of our room for EV owners. The location was a maximum of 15 minutes' drive from major wineries or the wine train we went on that day.The bathroom was well-kept and modern, there was a private patio area outside accessible only to us, and the skylight and fireplace were great mood-setters. We will be booking a room with the jacuzzi tub in the future! The last thing of note was that the staff were friendly, check-in/out was a breeze and the complimentary breakfast was 110% WORTH GETTING! Bagels, cereal, yogurts, coffee (Keurig too), fruits, pretty much anything you'd want and all prepared the morning of and very fresh in the quaint lobby.

One of the nicest places I have stayed in Calistoga. Friendly staff and breakfast included! The plush robes and decadent shampoos, body wash and lotion along with the sumptuous sheets and bedding made this place feel like a spa retreat for half the price of other hotels down the street. Highly recommend!

Lovely place and friendly staff. Big room for a private place. No noises or any cleaning odor as previous comments. Highly recommend this place. The staff has a map of restaurant to try in town. Adjacent from the hotel is the greatest bbq place!!

Really cute hotel. The room was small but had high ceilings. We also had our own gated patio with an outdoor fireplace and a table. Breakfast in the mornings wasn’t anything too crazy but definitely a step above your standard free hotel breakfast food. Wish we could have stayed longer! Will definitely come back here if I’m ever in town again.

The Bergson offers wonderful value for its pricing in the very special yet very touristy Calistoga. My superior queen on the 2nd floor was quiet, extremely cozy (with a lovely fireplace and deep bath tub), and very clean. A simple but nice continental breakfast was also included. The hotel sits just outside the main street, so feels a little out of the action, which I loved, as it was peaceful yet a short 5-10 minute walk to all the great bars, restaurants, and spas and springs in town. I hope to be back.

The Bergson is beautiful! Perfect location and beautiful rooms. I was pleasantly surprised - the rooms are very large with fire places. AlmoSt seems more like a large efficiency verses a bed&breakfast. There is a breakfast offered that includes an assortment of breads, cereals, fruits, and juices. The only negative is the road noise r/t location of our room to main road in the town.I will definitely be staying here again!!

This hotel was wonderful. Fire place in the room, art deco, jet tube, all around very nice. The only reason I'm giving it three stars is because they have no generator, the area was under a red flag advisory so the power company killed power to the whole area (Which i get and understand), however we got there on Saturday, lost power Sunday and still had no power when we checked out Tuesday. Luckily they run water tanks off gas and the fire places are gas with battery backup. So warmth when needed and still able to have a hot shower in the mornings. It was hot and with no air flow hard to sleep. Will I go back, absolutely. Will I stay again that long with no power, absolutely not. Will I recommend for others, yes.

We loved staying here, and we couldn't stay longer actually. The lady that helped us worked at night it started with an A I want to say Anne but anyway she really helped us out we had problems with another hotel and got there at 9:55pm and they stop checking people in at 10pm. She got us into a room it was a compact room but still a full size bed with a fireplace. We slept through breakfast so didn't try it but they did have gluten free pastries were available, some cereal and fruits. We would definitely stay here again just in a bigger room. :)

Bed was a bit too soft. Jacuzzi tub was fun. Lovely breakfast of quiche, whole avocado, cereal. There's always coffee, tea, hot chocolate and fresh fruit in the lobby. They have a free Tesla destination charger for guests. Excellent location in Calistoga.

If I could rate The Bergson 6stars I would! From the customer service to the room quality, I was extremely impressed and satisfied!I made the reservations last minute to celebrate my fiancé’s birthday. I mentioned in my reservation notes that we were newly engaged and was hoping they could write a card or have some flowers or something in the hotel for that special touch. I wasn’t expecting much to be honest BUT John and his team went BEYOND that and had two cards + rose petals shaped in a heart laid out on the bed and jacuzzi tub! John was so friendly and accommodating. The King Suite is well worth every penny!I would highly recommend this beautiful hotel. The location was also great! Susie’s Bar was a nice surprise spot to dance and grab some late drinks.
