I had the pleasure of staying at this B&B for a birthday celebration this year. Lynn & Gregg made my stay very memorable(in a fabulous way). Not only was the breakfast outstanding but I got chocolates and flowers on my birthday. My room was fantastic. It was clean, comfortable and very well appointed. The private deck was very nice and I enjoyed the evenings sitting out there relaxing. The grounds are well kept and serene. I felt as though it was my very own oasis. I highly recommend this B&B to my friends and family and hope to stay here again. Thanks again for everything Lynn & Gregg!

Top notch Bed and Breakfast experience. Starting from the time we arrived we were greeted as family and felt like family the entire stay. The grounds are pristine and decorated with so much care and thought. The rooms are spacious and meticulously appointed. It is clear that Lynn and Gregg are extremely caring hosts and they have thought of everything. The daily breakfast delivered hot and were very impressive well presented and tasty. Can’t wait to return to Calistoga and we will absolutely stay here again. I would have given 10 stars if possible. Thank you Lynn and Gregg for a great experience.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a weekend getaway, right before Shelter in Place orders were underway! This was so perfect to distance away from others, and the security knowing Lynn and Greg have the place deep cleaned as they aren't doing during the week bookings. We stayed in Castillo room, royal-themed with it's own patio and fountain. Amazing remodeled bathroom and the room had all the bells and whistles! Lynn went out of her way, making sure all our needs were met and had such thoughtful treats. The room and place was beyond perfect! Breakfast was exquisite, truly never been so well taken care of! We will absolutely be back.

We recently returned after our second stay at Potter’s Foothill House and it was fantastic AGAIN! The breakfasts are delicious and the hospitality is above and beyond wonderful. We always try to stay here when we are visiting. I recommend making reservations as soon as possible because they do fill quickly! Gregg & Lynn are fabulous hosts and always make us feel very special-THANK YOU!

We would give them 6 stars if we could! The cottage was fantastic with high ceilings and natural light. Lynn and Gregg have thought of everything. The king bed was comfortable. The closet was large with two soft robes plus a washer and dryer. The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking. The bathroom was over the top with a view of a small waterfall, and I spent far too much time in the bathroom watching the bird and squirrel activity. A beautiful gas fireplace separated the bathroom and living area and quickly heated the entire space. I could go on and on about the little details too, including snacks, chocolates, teas, and coffee. We were welcomed into the cottage with a bottle of chilled champagne for our 20th wedding anniversary. Every morning, Lynn or Filipa brought an amazing basket of breakfast and took care to accommodate any diet needs. Lynn even introduced me to a few lactose-free products I had never heard of. The evening appetizers were delicious and creative. The garden in the common area was breathtaking. We never spent time in the gazebo because we had two outside areas of our own, but next time, we will definitely try it out. We loved it so much, we already reserved the cottage for our anniversary next year.

Just finished the weekend there and loved every minute of it. Lynn and her staff were very nice, helpful and provided an excellent experience. The Castella room was wonderfully done and the breakfast's were easily our best meals of the weekend. My husband & I honeymooned here back in 1998 & had a WONDERFUL experience!! Our 25th anniversary is next year & I’ve been thinking about surprising him with another stay here for our special occasion. That being said, our daughter & I travelled here from Minnesota for a girls trip & I wanted to show her all of the special places that her Dad & I experienced, so we stopped by the Foothill House. It’s under new ownership, & we weren’t made to feel very welcome, I’m guessing since we didn’t have a current reservation. However, as a business owner myself, I was hoping to be treated nicer. I told the owners why we stopped by, & I was told I could’ve just saved myself some time by going online to check it out. Then when I asked if the cottage that we stayed in was available to see so I could show my daughter, I was sternly told “no” & that it’s their day off. I can understand if they didn’t want to show it & I can respect that people need a break, but there are nicer ways to go about it. Just because someone doesn’t have a current reservation doesn’t mean they won’t be making one for the near future. The experience made me feel like I should’ve just passed by & let our good memories remain with the former owners.

We had a great stay with Lynne and Greg. They are wonderful hosts and the property and rooms were delightful. Since our stay was during the coronavirus pandemic, the hosts took extra precaution with cleaning, distancing, masks, etc., including during cooking, which was appreciated! We look forward to returning for another romantic getaway here.

The couple that manages this little gem are the sweetest.My husband and I stayed in the Chateau Room.It was so cozy,not only cozy but clean.The surroundings outside are beautiful with plants, and shrubbery all around.There is also a small little path where you can walk through. I forgot to mention Lynn guided us on things to do and where to eat,she also told us about certain restaurants customer service without being negative. Some were great and some were ok.All of this happened when we checked in.They also serve breakfast which she cooks herself. Will let you know how it was .

My honey brought me here as a surprise for my birthday, I have never stayed at a B&B so I was not sure if I was going to like it boy was i wrong , we had an amazing experience staying here . The room was absolutely beautiful (Castella) , the food was so good , i kept saying Queen for a day that's how I feltThe hosts do a first class job of making your stay a special one . I will definitely recommend to friends and will return.Thank you Lynn & Greg 💕I didnt want to leave !

The foothill house is a wonderful B and B. Greg and Lynda and very good hosts with a huge thank you to Lynda for the great, gluten free breakfasts!! There are several small things that keep this from 5 stars. The coffee maker in the Chatau needs replacing. It's just old and clunky to use. There is no bath in the Chatau, when the description on the web says there is. Some of the high end B and Bs leave homemade cookies or snacks in the room when you return from wine tasting. Greg and Lynda have opted instead for packaged cookies, which is fine but not 5 star to me.We do recommend foothill house but it's the little things that keep it from a 5 star experience.

My wife and I stayed here at this B&B for a week with another group and was throughly impressed with the cleanliness and professionalism of this establishment.The hosts were above and beyond gracious during our stay and went out of their way to accommodate us.Breakfast was delivered daily to our group and they simply raved and raved about how good it was... and these are hard core brunch and breakfast people. If they say it is good then you know it!This my not be the most glamorous or "modern" place to stay in Calistogia, but for the money you can't beat it. The location is very quite and private and the hosts are first rate. I would definitely recommend it.

From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. Lynn made sure that we felt special every step of the way. We had a wonderful breakfast delivered to our door each morning. The food was on par with any 5 star restaurant in Napa. We stayed in the Palisades which was secluded, beautiful and well above expectations. This place should be on everyone's must stay list.

5 stars is not enough for the hospitality shown to us by Lynn and Gregg and Filippa. They really have a knack for detail and there was nothing they didn’t think of. From a chilled bottle of champagne in our room upon arrival, to bath bombs and salts for the jacuzzi tub, to duraflames amd logs for a cozy and romantic fire every night, to the plush robes to lounge in. And the best part was waking up to the most amazing and delicious homemade breakfast spread every morning. You can’t get this kind of love at a hotel, i guarantee that. And i can’t forget to mention how incredibly nice it was to come back to a spotlessly clean room every night with replenished waters and candy lol Fillippa is a gem. Wow, can i just move in forever? Will work for free room and board lol Our first trip to Napa and whenever we come back we will never stay anywhere else. Thank you again Lynn, Gregg, and Fillippa xox

A charming location with wonderful (and wonderfully helpful) owners, back in business after a year's hiatus. The courtyards are beautiful and peaceful, and the breakfasts are lovely. Some of the decor could use freshening, but sitting out under the shade of redwood and pine trees sipping wine as the sounds of fountains and brooks fill the background, you'll soon agree: Foothill House is a great find.

My girlfriend and I stayed here one night and we wish we had booked this place for our entire Napa trip. We stayed in the Castella Room which was absolutely wonderful. Lynn Potter served delicious breakfast and evening appetizers and she accommodated for our diet restrictions by going above and beyond. If we travel to wine country again we will definitely stay here.

The foothill Inn, is a hidden gem in Beautiful Calistoga, Napa Valley, Ca.The 4 beautiful separate rooms are unique, 1st floor, no stairs for us, we are older. Outfitted with large Whirlpool type tubs, large King beds, and all the niceties you would expect.The icing on the cake was a great breakfast delivered to your room every morning, juice , danish, etc... The grounds are over the top gorgeous, Gazebo, waterfalls, it has it all.The owners , friendly and always ready to accommodate anything you want special to eat, or places you want to see, restaurants...We spent 4 nites there , 2nd week of Sept, 2016, all was perfect, we shared wine with the owners and spent some lovely evenings in the very open backyard..I'd give it a 10 and recommend it highly...Cristina,Lalo, Vincent and Marcela

Foothill house with Lynn and Gregg was way beyond what my group and I could have expected. The pictures are accurate but until you get in the space, you can't imagine how special it really is. We had 3 couples and we each had our our room, but always seem to meet on the back lawn under the trees for drinks and conversation. We even used that space to do yoga one morning! The breakfast was better than any that we could have had in a restaurant. We had it delivered to our rooms the first day but afterwards, Lynn and Gregg accommodated us by setting up the table in the common room. I really could go on and on about the rooms as well. It was the PERFECT place to stay and we will return!!!!!

Lynn and Gregg are incredibly gracious hosts. The rooms are well-appointed with some fun personal touches. Breakfasts are special (homemade frittata, French toast…) and an appetizer happy hour was a perfect end to the day. Location is a 30min walk to town and easy to get to all the Napa vineyards.

Rooms: Our room (Palisades) was very nice and featured a dual sided gas fireplace between the bedroom and bathroom.Walkability: All of the rooms seemed accessible, but the palisades cottage is at the top of a short but steep, paved hill that may be challenging to some with mobility issues.Food & drinks: The breakfasts were delicious and delivered right on schedule.Noteworthy details: The owners make this place special with a lot of personal touches. We had a great time.
