This was my favorite winery out of the 5 I’ve visited in Napa ValleyTheir 2021 wines were especially good.I never thought I’d join a wine club, but I did for this winery!Absolutely amazing and everyone should go in for a tasting!The customer service was also fantastic and extremely personable!

Only 5% of wineries in Napa remain family owned and run — thrilled we had a chance to visit Madrigal and experience a small boutique winery. Everything about this tasting is personal — you’ll enjoy wine (unpretentiously) and explore the grounds, and Scott is the most gracious host. Of course, we bought three bottles of wine at the end. Do not miss out on Madrigal. You’ll only leave with fond memories and a deeper appreciation of wine and Madrigal’s family history.

Our Party of 8 made a reservation with Madrigal Family Winery through the winter Passport as part of our recent stay. We were greeted at the door by Rick, a man who's passion for this family winery pour through his soul and into every tour and tasting. It was a rainy day but Rick wouldn't let that get in the way of our tour of the grounds, and the tastings of their delicious wines. We left with an order of 3 wines to be shipped back to NC! Do not miss this experience as the team there puts everything you want a family owned winery to be into the experience.

Beautiful family owned vineyard, Rick was our host who was very laid back and knowledgeable. He continually had something else ready for us to try out. We really enjoyed the Zinfandel and liked learning about all the varietals they grow.

One of our favorite wineries, Madrigal is a must stop if you are in the Calistoga area. The tasting deck on the edge of the vineyards is beautiful. The wines are great. Lots of variety not always found in Calistoga. The staff is amazing. Had a terrific tasting with Barbara. She was so nice and so knowledgeable about the wines, the wine making process and had lots of information about the whole valley. Had the chance to meet Chris Madrigal. He’s a super nice guy, very laid back and fun to talk with. This family is doing things right. So glad to have joined their club, can’t wait for our fist shipment.

Great Staff and very good wine. We went here on a recommendation from a friend and it did not disappoint. The tasting area is not very big, so it feels very private and you feel very special. They give you a tour of the whole place, and they allow you to explore the vineyard. We had a great time, and our server was very friendly and knowledgable. And of course we left with buying wine, it is very good wine.

I'm so thankful for my cousin Erika Zepeda to bring me to this wonderful and amazing family owned vineyard! What stood out the most for me is the top star treatment you are given. You are literally treated like familia here!! Our fabulous wine educator, Andrew Norman did a magnificent job educating us about the "behind the scenes" of their wine making by taking us out to their vineyard and letting us taste their grapes! By far, this was such a memorable experience that I encourage every wine lover to visit! Most definitely, I'm going to bring the rest of my familia to come and enjoy this top notch destination!🥂😊

Chris and the staff extremely kind, friendly, funny, and generous. Visited the winery from a friend who highly recommend Madrigal. We can honestly say it was the best experience we have ever experienced at any winery. It was spectacular from the time that we arrived and all the wine that we tasted. Have been a member for 2 years now. There are very few wineries where the owner will meet you every time. Chris Madrigal does an amazing job of being a host and a more amazing job of producing phenomenal wines year after year. I have also had the pleasure of being hosted by Barbara, she is one of my favorite hosts, she makes everyone I bring feel very welcome. I recommend Madrigal Family Winery to everyone I know.

We have been wine club members for a few years. Recently, we missed receiving our shipment of wine (which we paid for). We have sent emails to Madrigal asking how we can get our wine. No responses. We then sent an email asking to stop our membership and refund our money. No response. It's been a couple weeks. I do not know what is going on with this winery. But, right now things must not be good. We are still trying to get someone to respond.........

This was a great tour! Instead of doing all the tastings inside they actually walked us among the vines and we tasted alongside the grapes varieties used for each type (when we could). We could pluck the grapes right off the vine and tase them. Kristin was our guide through the winery and she was so kind and helpful. She answered lots of questions and seemed like she really loved her job. The wine was really good and the scenery beautiful! I would come back here again for sure!

If you are reading this review, you might be trying to decide if it is worth visiting this winery, or if the wines are good. It is and they are. This is the winery many people hope are in Napa - small family owned operations where they grow all the grapes they use in their wines. You might want to sit on a patio tasting wines while looking at the vines that made the grapes you are drinking. You will! Jackson gave us our wine tasting experience and tour. He answered every single question we had - and we had a LOT of questions - about Napa, growing grapes, making wines in Napa vs the rest of the world, the Madrigal vineyards, etc. We learned a lot. And the wines are very good - nice variety, fairly priced, excellent quality. Highly recommend.

Our team had a wonderful time with Madrigal Family Winery’s virtual wine tasting and got a chance to learn about winemaking from the experts. The wine samples were delivered on time in aesthetic looking little bottles and a notecard with information on each wine. Wine selection ranged from a light and refreshing “La Vida Rosa” Dry Rose to full-bodied 2015 Nuestra Sangre Red Wine. Each employee received a discount to use during their next wine purchase at Madrigal Family Winery. We highly recommend the virtual wine tasting activity for a Happy Hour with your coworkers!

Visited Madrigal Family Winery on our Napa Sonoma trip 3 year ago. Hands down they had the most spectacular wines we tasted as a vineyard on a whole. Just enjoyed the 2014 Petite Syrah we bought then for our 10 year anniversary today. It was worth the wait! If there was any winery that I would recommend before all others it would be this one!

This was my boyfriend and I's first time visiting California. We were looking for a family winery in Napa Valley, and this was the most highly recommended. After our tasting and tour, I can see why. We called ahead in case we needed reservations, and when we arrived, Matt greeted us at the door. He already had our table set up with wine glasses and menus. He was very personable, friendly, and informative--it was easy to see how passionate he was about his job. We had such a great experience and we will recommend this winery to everyone!

As Napa residents, we're very picky about which wineries we gush about. That said, Madrigal is the only winery we always recommend to friends and family. Every time we visit we fall more in love with the wines. On top of that, every person who works there is passionate and very knowledgeable about the wines and winemaking process. Karla and Matt are usually our hosts and I seriously can't say enough good things about them! If you're looking for a personable experience tasting some fantastic wines of a wide variety, this place is for you.
