We were fortunate enough to have a tasting of several wines with our friends who are wine club members. We visited 6 other wineries in in Calistoga this week and the variety, distinctiveness and value of the wines we tasted at Joseph Cellars made them the clear winner of the trip! Plus the quality of the workmanship and finishes in the building and grounds was amazing! (Sounds crazy but check out the restrooms. !)

I’ve been a friend and member of Joseph Cellars for several years. We live in Atlanta and every time I get to visit it feels like visiting family. I can’t recommend a winery in the valley more. They have the best variety so you can try almost anything here. Book a tasting; you will not be disappointed.

We really enjoyed the intimate setting and wine cave tasting experience. Janelle was very passionate about wine and our education. It is a must go to winery in Calistoga.

My husband and I had a very enjoyable tasting experience at Joesph Cellars. Although it was a hefty tasting fee ($100 each) it was worth it. We were greeted with a glass of Rose and enjoyed that while overlooking views of the vineyard. Next we went into the wine cave for a quick tour. Our tasting consisted of wines paired with a small bite of food. For example the sauvignon blanc was paired with an apricot with goat cheese & honey. All the wines were stellar and the experience was relaxed, comfortable and informative. I would recommend a visit to this winery!

Literally one of the best experiences to be had in Napa County. On top of a passion for excellent winemaking Joe Bartholomew and his team are delightful people. From a cave tour, to a willingness to taste and talk about wine for hours, to their genuine care about their guests, Joseph cellars has become one of my must stop locations in The Valley.Great whites and spectacular reds. And even better people.Go! You won't regret it.

As others have said, Joseph Cellars often ends up being the most memorable tasting and tour. Appreciated the time taken to give a full description of the wines we were tasting and the willingness to answer any questions we had. Appreciated the food pairings and the cave tour was really neat to experience. Visited other wineries on the trip but this was tops!

I sent my neighbors here, they became a member; I brought my parents here, they became members as well; I brought my Aunt and Uncle here, now members. This place just has that kind of vibe that everyone wants to plug into. And the wine in superb, meticulously grown and crafted and possessing its own sense of place. That Joseph Jazz!Janelle was an amazing host. She gave us a white wine tasting in the tasting room and then took us into the cave for the reds. What a treat. So. my family is a bunch a engineers and she totally nerded out with them over the cave construction. Everybody was impressed! She's a great wine educator too and caters to everyones level of knowledge. No wine snobbery at all.After we finished our flight of wines, we all ordered a glass and sat on a couple of sofas overlooking a view of the winery. Family time and wine...There's nothing better.

This was clearly the best experience of our trip. The flavors of their wines are amazing. We fell in love with wine types we would not normally like. Ron was amazing. Tough act to follow. Also thanks to Santa Leonard our faithful guide for bringing us to this experience.

Stopped in after it was recommended to us by a local driver we met the day before. Spent an hour talking with Rick, who ended up taking us in for a tour of the incredible caves (even though we didn't sign up for or pay for that tour). Every wine we tasted was absolutely incredible. We did not plan to ship ANY wine home from our trip to Napa, but we had 6 bottles shipped home from Joseph Cellars. Can't wait for them to arrive. This was a definite highlight of our visit to Napa.

Our Favorite! We originally didn't incorporate Joseph Cellars in our agenda, but our Driver intentionally took us here and we were all blown away! Wine is delicious and Staff were the greatest. Joseph Cellars is a wonderful Winery and makes you feel like part of Winery Family.

Our best tour experience in Napa was at Joseph Cellar. The vineyard gives you a cozy family like feel and their cave is awesome (better than Del Dotto). We did a 1:1 tour with Janelle who was AMAZING. The way she explained everything was simple and understandable. We had a lot of fun.The wine wine itself is carefully crafted and each wine expresses its own unique notes. There is a lot of love that goes into each bottle.Our goal was to become a member somewhere and we chose Joseph Cellar! Thanks for a great first experience in Napa!

Joseph Cellars make a kickass wine! We visited they winery last July and tested their Cabernet Sauvignon, cabernet limited edition, Merlot, Malbec, and Sauvignon. They produce the kind of wines that you just keep sipping until you drank the whole bottle." Awesome Jobs Guys! Keep up the Good work;)

I wouldn't even give it one star. We went yesterday, the staff didn't even look up from her chair from behind the counter. Not a word. We have now toured four wineries and this was by far the worst. Unbelievable.
