WOW! I cannot stress enough how relaxing this was. We got there early for our mud bath and they gave up robes, sandals, water, and towels and let us go swimming in the mineral pool and jacuzzi until our reservation for the mud bath. The mud bath was so different than anything we've ever done and we enjoyed it. You get very hot in there but an ice cold towel on your head and cold clay mask on your face. When you shower off you get into the jacuzzi with the minerals and enjoy lemon water. Jordan was our guy that day and he was amazing! Seriously him and his co worker Melissa were just so nice and attentive. They even let us swim again after and shower there. They've got shampoo and conditioner and soap. The front desk was really nice too. I'm telling you if you want and experience make yourself a reservation. You're not naked in front of anyone but the person or party you book with.

Golden Haven is warm and inviting. We enjoyed our stay immensely. We utilized the grounds, playing bocce, ping pong and corn hole. We also enjoyed sitting by the fire pit at night. The service is stellar along with the staff. The pool temperature was welcoming, The rooms are clean and comfortable. Thumbs up for Golden Haven. I highly recommend it!

Our experience at Golden Haven was nothing short of spectacular. The location is great, convenient, and easy parking, From the initial reservation calls, changes, and confirmation, everyone was helpful, friendly, and lovely. Then we arrived and received a complimentary room upgrade, more goodies, and ease in all areas. We had an amazing couples mud treatment with the very attentive Beckett giving us the information we needed and respected our privacy. Our room had the huge tub and extraordinary fireplace and was just perfect!!!! The two hot tubs, the pool, the fire pit, and our awesome room were fantastic!!! Our only problem was deciding which fabulous offering to indulge!!! We had a wonderful stay and cannot wait to return.

I went to Golden Haven Spa for the mud bath experience. I did the mud bath, the mineral soak, and a 45min massage. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. I didn't feel rushed at all. The timing was perfect. I especially love the mud bath. I am going back soon.If you're looking for a nice clean, yes, it was very clean. Please check this place out. The drive is just as relaxing.Next time I'm going to get a room and enjoy a weekend getaway.

We only had a spa experience, but it was great. Everyone on their staff is friendly and hospitable, from check-in desk to mud bath treatments to massage therapists. Thermal pool is great, lockers are convenient as well as multiple shower rooms to clean up or change. Plenty water everywhere to stay hydrated, robes and towels to stay dry in between procedures. Highly recommend.Noteworthy details: spa services right at the spot if you wish to book 2 in 1 deal

This place is really great. It's a seasoned little resort, but in the best way. I wanted to bring my girlfriend to a spot to get some real relaxation in after the holidays and my mom recommended Golden Haven because she had stayed there years ago and loved it. It's the place in Calistoga that still feels like Northern California and not like it's bending over backwards to impress foreigners you know? It's family owned, has hot spring mineral water from the ground flowing all over the place. The grounds and rooms are great. Our mud bath experience was super professional. We had a great time. I probably wouldn't even bother checking out the other spas. As a Northern California local, I need my luxuries to keep it real, kinda like a redwood forest. Keep those posh city vibes somewhere else. Golden Haven rides that line really well, it's exceedingly comfortable.

Located in such a cute town. This place is truly a hidden gem. Went with three friends and it was amazing. Was a little apprehensive at first bc I’ve never done this but was blown away by the experience. The mud bath was so relaxing. The. We showered off and got in the mineral bath. Another incredible relaxing moment. But the best was the cool down beds. We actually fell asleep. A quick shower and we were off to our nest adventure.Can’t recommend this pace enough!

Only came here for the mud bath package, and it was a great experience! You get two hours in the spring water tubs (recommend coming before the mud bath).The service is perfect; the whole hour is fully utilized. You start with the mud bath, which includes a cold compress and facial. Then you rinse off the mud via a shower in the same room. Then there's a mineral Jacuzzi in the same room. Then you get to cool down in a separate room. Not too many better ways to spend an hour!

The Golden Haven Hot Springs and Spa resort was really nice. We stayed 2 nights with some friends, and got upgraded to a superior room that can host up to 4 people. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean. There was a fridge and a microwave. It's nice to be on the ground floor with easy access to the pools and car (our car was parked just in front of our room).The Hot Springs were really nice. The large pool is not very warm, there is a warm hot tub (98-100F) and a very hot tub (102F-104F). You could notice the sulfurous smell, plus a little of chlorine - which I understand is required for sanitary reasons.The mudbath was a very relaxing experience, definitely worth it. It's a mix of clay, pet moss and mineral water, I liked the contrast of taking the mudbath and the relaxation in the cool down room with cucumbers on the eyes and with relaxing music.The hotel is not on the main road, hence, it is quiet. Would definitely come back again.There is no breakfast, but you can find coffee and tea.

I took my mom to Golden Haven for a spa package which included a mud bath, mineral springs bath/jacuzzi, a 45-minute massage, & access to the pool! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great & fair-priced spa experience. Note that the facility is a bit dated in case you prefer a new & modern aesthetic, but it was very clean, all amenities worked perfectly, & the customer service & services in general were great! I will be coming back with my husband for his birthday!

I treated myself to a mud bath at this resort. I’ve been wanting to do this for some time,. I chose Golden haven based on their history and location.From the warm welcome when I entered the spa Tony attended walking me out I felt like a princess.The mud bath was extraordinary and warm and comfortable. The mineral baths were incredible and relaxing. I loved everything about my visit and would highly recommend it to anyone that needs a little selfcare

We did not stay at this location just had the Mud Bath and Massage package. We got there a little early and they offered for us to use their pools before hand, even had extra swim suits on hand for those that didn't bring any. Our mud bath specialist was Kimberly, she made you feel special and she was very attentive. There was three of us and we were all able to do the baths and massages together. It was a perfect girls day.

We had a lovely experience. Thanks to trees downed by the atmospheric river, our arrival was delayed. We called to let them know, & they were so kind & accommodating. They were able to move part of our appointments later so we got the full treatment. Ed, my massage therapist, was kind, respectful & very experienced. He shared with me that he's been at this spa for 25 years, & that several of his colleagues have been there even longer. That's just unheard of in the massage industry, & speaks volumes about how the company treats their employees. Matodd (I probably butchered the spelling) was our attendant in the mud room & he was very professional & attentive. I'll definitely come back.

Our first mud bath experience was absolutely incredible! Did not expect all of those extras that came with it. It is a very well-rounded service. Oscar our mud therapist was just lovely as well. Great value. We also loved that they were available for appointments the day after Christmas. Glad we chose this one over a couple others in the area. Can't comment on the hotel rooms as we did not stay there.

This hotel is GREAT value in Calistoga - it's a little off the beaten path (10 min, quiet walk to the main street), but because of that offers likely the best value in the whole town. I was upgraded to a superior room (thx Golden Haven!) for my stay, which is like a solo motel room, very modern, with all amenities I needed. I also had a mud bath & massage, and used the mineral hot pools, which left me feeling 100% relaxed and rejuvenated. Can't recommend these services highly enough!

A friend and I treated ourselves to the mud-mineral water spa- blanket wrap cooldown treatment. Such an awesome experience. We felt so cared for and the whole place is tidy, appealing, and low key, with a neat picnic and game area behind the main building. We stayed one night in a two bedroom suite and it was perfect. I will be back soon.

We have been coming to the Golden Haven for 35 years. There is a reason we keep coming back . . .Any spa services you want and a mud bath experience at least once in your lifetime is so worth it. The pool, the hot tubs, the mineral water . . . bliss. The rooms are comfortable, comfy beds and linens. Quiet, peaceful and serene . . . return home feeling restored.Nearby activities: Wine tasting, bicycling, hiking.

I haven't stayed in the rooms yet but I plan to because our spa treatment was one of the best experiences ever. We did the mud bath and massage combo for 2 and relaxed in the mineral pools after and it was truly amazing. We left there feeling fully rejuvenated and relaxed. Thank you golden haven we shall be back soon!Safety: Beautiful little neighborhood not far from the main road but far enough to be peaceful. Very safe also near a school zone so slow drivers as well

My husband and I had an amazing time at Golden Haven Spa! The employees were incredibly attentive and kind. I had requested minor changes to our reservation and the front desk was extremely patient and helpful.We stayed in the king spa room, which included a soaking tub. We were also given soaking salts! The room itself was modern, cozy, and very clean. We had all the amenities needed. The bed was comfortable and the fireplace was a nice touch.As far as services, we booked the mud bath, mineral soak, and cool down wrap. Sadly, we were unable to get massages due to our schedule. The mud bath was such a fun and relaxing experience. Jordan made the process seamless and exciting. He was very friendly and had great energy! This was the perfect weekend getaway! We can’t wait to visit again. 11/10 would recommend Golden Haven to others!

Staff were accommodating, helpful and friendly. We were there in the middle of the week and after our mud bath we relaxed in the outdoor warm natural spring pool and jacuzzis. As we were only 1 of 3 couples they told us to enjoy our time as they weren’t busy. We spent over 2 hours enjoying the water. Total limp noodles after we got out. We did not stay there this time so unable to comment on rooms. Located in a very quiet, residential neighborhood. Walking distance to downtown Calistoga.Walkability: An easy walk to downtownNoteworthy details: I noticed that there were bicycles, I assumed if a guest you could use or rent.

This is my second experience at Golden Haven...just as amazing as my initial visit a couple years ago. The staff is so great, from the Mud Attendant Melissa to the Masseuse, Louis, and the wonderful team that keep the so grounds beautiful.On my last day I spoke with a very pleasant gentleman who's been working there since he was 16 years old and is now 58. He expressed how much he enjoys working there...no better review than one of your team members enjoying their life due to where they work. 😍

Overall great experience! Went for my girlfriend's birthday and we got the couples mud bath. When we stepped inside we knew it'd be a pleasant experience. The mud bath is an interesting and unique experience, not sure we'd do it again, but our attendant helped take care of us. We actually left the mineral spa early because it was getting really hot for us, and then our attendant might've gotten mixed up with where we were supposed to go because in the cooldown room she asked if we were going to go back to the mud bath for some reason. She still got us our cucumbers and cool towel. It's one of the cheapest spa deals for couples you'll find in the area, but the experience here is worth a try and we have nothing negative to say about the experience. 5/5
