TRAVELERS TAKE NOTE! This place is beautiful but BUSY! I am so glad that I made a reservation, as they have a gate keeper that will not allow you on the grounds unless you have a reservation to be there.Pros:-This place is very unique! This castle was built over 30 years ago, however, the owner/creator wanted to create a castle that looks like something out of old world Italy. Everything is hand crafted, and aged to create a wonderful feel of stepping back in time.-This place has a great wine selection, no matter what your preference is.-This castle is set up on a hill with beautiful grounds that are well maintained that have a great view. Additionally, they host lots of barn yard animals which is unique.-They are staffed extremely well, so you are never waiting long for your next wine to try.Cons:-SO BUSY! There are large crowds here. If you don't like being around large groups of people on vacation, then I don't think this place would be for you. Trying to carry on a conversation in the wine tasting rooms is difficult.-I think some of the best parts of the castle you are unable to see unless you pay for the full guided castle tour, not just the self-guided tour and tasting.

Our family (2 adults and 2 kids) had a great time here. We purchased the wine tasting (5 labels per guest) and our server Jeremy E was very courteous and knowledgeable of the castle’s history. When we left the castle, there were several animals (hens, roosters, ram, lambs, goats and emus) for the kids to see. No petting or feeding. The kids still enjoyed it.We ended up buying 4 bottles and a very decorative pour top (a lion and they have about 20 to choose from in silver and gold) to take home. The castle was beautiful and we would visit it again perhaps to learn more about the castle with a guided tour.

We have been here many times but now they require reservations and tasting tickets. It is $60 per person which includes 5 or 6 tastings and a self guided tour ( basically you walk around the castle). It is different from other vineyards and tasting rooms due to the lovely Castle that was built by bringing stones and other artifacts from Italy

Incredible! Our tour guide Stephane was knowledgeable, hilarious, kind, and made our experience a 20/10. This was my first wine tasting EVER and everything was memorable and spectacular from the castle grounds to the historical artifacts and recreations to the barrel tasting to the various wines we were able to try. The animals were a bonus!

Winery with this majestic castle!Unfortunately it was pouring when we went but still the castle was gorgeous and decor inside was beautiful. They make American and Italian style wine and we could taste many different kinds of wine there; you can choose which wine to taste from the list and your party can choose different ones.Their wine is only consumed at this wine tasting since they have so many visitors and what they make is just enough for them. Visiting there during holiday season, the place was super crowded and the rain did not help at all. But we still had a good time.

Nestled in the heart of the valley, Castello di Amorosa Vineyard is a classic gem that offers an enchanting experience. Besides the Sicilian castle feels, The winery boasts a collection of exquisite wines that capture the essence of the region’s rich terroir. The Pinot Noir is a standout with its velvety texture and notes of ripe cherry and subtle oak. We also tried the Rosé Chardonnay Reserve ( nice and dry white). The staff’s passion is palpable, offering insightful tours and tastings that educate and delight. Dimitri was delightful and made it a memorable experience. The grounds are picturesque, perfect for a leisurely stroll Whether you’re a connoisseur or a casual sipper, the Vineyard promises a memorable visit that will linger on your palate long after the last drop. Would highly recommend summertime and weekend reservations.

Interesting castle, okay wine. As long as you only see it as a tourist attraction, you will like it.Chris was our host. He's nice, welcoming, and knowledgeable.+ Nice looking castle, good for taking pictures.* The castle's outer surfaces are made of stone, other places are a mix of stone and bricks.- The wine tasting experience was okay. Our group was a little too big for the host to take care of everyone.- We had to stand for the whole wine tasting (30+ min)

The castle and grounds are absolutely stunning there is no denying that but for the price we paid we were just expecting more.At the very least we were hoping to like the wines but we really weren't blown away by them at all, the only one we both really liked was the Oakville red priced at $80 a bottle. It just felt underwhelming considering we paid so much money in comparison to other wine tastings. I am pleased that we went as it was good to experience it but the actual wines were not all that. Also the vast majority of the rooms and areas of the castle is closed off to private tours which we were not aware of prior to our visit so it felt we had quite restricted access. At the end of our tasting we asked if we could purchase more wine to drink but they said no which we couldn't understand as the area was very quiet...

I've been to this place twice in contrastingly different weather conditions and loved both experiences equally, so here goes all my 5 stars :)Back in 2021, I went when the vineyard was lush green and it was bright and sunny. We had a standing tasting at the cellar which has changed now in 2024. All of us had a great time touring around the castle and experiencing the medieval vibe. This time, I visited the castle again a few days ago when the vineyard was dry, without the lush green and it was raining. I was skeptical but still loved the experience all the same. Loved the cozy feels of having some good quality wine in the warm room while it was raining outside. You are given a list of wines to choose from for your tasting and you can tailor it to your liking or let the sommelier do their thing.Eva helped us with picking the wines of our liking and we enjoyed them all.Definitely recommend this place for anyone who is having hard time selecting a place from the many in Napa Valley. Also recommend making reservations prior to your visit.Have fun tasting! Cheers 🥂

My husband and I came here for our wedding anniversary and we loved it! Do come 10-15 minutes early to get situated with parking and soaking it all in. The drive up was beautiful. Eva was our tour guide, she really educated us on the wine making process and knew her stuff. Because of the group size and large rooms outside and upstairs there were moments where it was very hard to hear her. It is a very busy place and there are constant tours taking place, one right after the other. Once we got into the castle and in smaller rooms it was much easier to hear her. The property was absolutely beautiful! It felt romantic, cozy and gave me European vibes. The wine tasting was good - the pours were a bit on the small/average size but I did enjoy the wines! If you pay extra for the chocolate at the end, it will not disappoint it was delicious! This is also a great place to take pictures with amazing views.

This review is for the Cheese & Charcuterie Wine Pairing Tour only.First off the tour is $115 per person, I've done the other ones as well before. And this one does stand out when it comes to the actual tasting.Small little plate of cheese and meats.I can't rate the wines since that's a person to person experience. The tour itself was informative our tour lady (which I forgot her name, but I know she was russian) was fantastic. Charismatic and cheerful.Overall I would say it's worth the price, fun for couples and friends.Would most likely do another one again in the future.

While the picturesque castle setting and warm hospitality of the staff left a lasting impression, I couldn't help but feel that the pricing structure, particularly for children, was somewhat steep. At $25 per child for grape juice, it seems a bit excessive. I would suggest a reassessment of the child pricing to make the experience more inclusive for families.

Our 2nd time here, took our sister and brother in law here for their first trip to Napa. They were very impressed by the Castle and the History or the place. The time it took to build this castle is incredible, no detail missed. Wines are incredible we always bring some home. Reservations are required to enter. Recommend the tour very much.

Visiting Castello di Amorosa in Napa Valley was nothing short of magical. This stunning 13th-century Tuscan-style castle winery doesn't just stand out for its breathtaking architecture; it immerses you in a wine-tasting experience that's as rich in history as it is in flavor. From the vine-covered hillsides to the meticulously crafted castle itself, every detail transports you straight to Italy, offering a unique and unforgettable backdrop for savoring some of Napa's finest wines. The wine tasting itself was exceptional. Led by incredibly knowledgeable staff, each selection was presented with a passion that spoke volumes of their love for winemaking. We were taken on a journey through the vineyard's diverse offerings, from bold and complex reds to crisp and delightful whites, each wine was a testament to the winery's craftsmanship and the fertile lands of Napa Valley. What truly sets Castello di Amorosa apart is the comprehensive experience. It's not just about the wine; it's about stepping into a piece of history, enjoying the breathtaking views, and feeling the dedication and passion behind every bottle produced. The staff made us feel welcomed and valued, enhancing the overall experience with their attentiveness and expertise.Castello di Amorosa offers more than just a wine tasting; it's a journey through time and a celebration of the senses. The combination of exquisite wines, stunning surroundings, and the warmth of the staff makes this winery a treasure of Napa Valley. It's a five-star experience that's not to be missed by anyone looking to indulge in the beauty and flavors of one of California's most picturesque regions. A visit to Castello di Amorosa is a highlight that will stay with you long after the last sip.

“My first Wine tasting experience at Castillo Amorosa was truly exceptional. From the moment we entered, the welcoming atmosphere that our host & server Jeremy and attentive staff made us feel right at home. The menu offered a delightful array of wines, each expertly crafted with fresh, high-quality meat & cheese. Every taste was a delight, and I can’t wait to return to Castillo Amerosa & the wine valley to explore more of their delicious creations. Highly recommended!”

Come for the castle but the wine is ok. The thing to remember about this place is to come expecting a tourist vibe. The wines are fine but nothing jumps out as extraordinary. For those looking for a more elevated experience with complex and interesting wine, go elsewhere. At $60 per person I would highly recommend going to a more reputable location for wine. There are numerous wineries to visit which will get you a better bang for your buck.

The Castle is a beautiful winery. The wines are exceptional. We took the tour and truly enjoyed ourselves. Mauricio was a fantastic host and is extremely knowledgeable. He took the time to answer our questions and was a total rockstar during our tasting. The top level service wasn’t limited to Mauricio. Madeline REMEMBERED my stepmom from a previous visit over 4 months ago. Not only that, but she remembered we were there for her birthday and our post Castello plans. Color me impressed! The gift shop, aka the most dangerous room in the castle (tongue in cheek), has plenty of wonderful items, too! We picked up some more souvenirs and Samantha was truly helpful in getting us set up properly.Clearly Castello di Amorosa has exceptional service and wonderful wines. Those views and the ambiance make it worthwhile to visit alone! Be sure to check out the animals outside as well.Such a fun experience. Until next time!

I set out to visit Castello di Amorosa, an authentic real Tuscan-style castle nestled among the hills of Northern California. On a breezy yet sunny day, I finally arrived there. Greeted at the gate and ushered to the ticketing booth. The charm of its medieval stone walls and captivating vistas. Reminiscent of the Spanish forts of San Juan, Puerto Rico I had once visited, the castle's architecture echoed tales of history and heritage. As I wandered through its 107-room layout, each corner revealed a new marvel—a great hall steeped in grandeur, a dungeon shrouded in mystery, and a chapel with murals that shouldn't be taken lightly. But what truly enlightened me was the castle's commitment to offering a delightful non-alcoholic option for all guests to enjoy. With its captivating views and a Game of Thrones ambiance, Castello di Amorosa proved to be a haven of beauty and wonder—a place where the spirit of exploration thrived and memories were made.

This is a must when visiting Napa! Make reservations far in advance! If you don’t have a reservation, they will not even let you on the grounds. The venue is spectacular in and of itself! You can roam the castle! And there’s goats and animals too! Once inside when you have your tasting, they are really accommodating, knowledgeable, and the customer service is impeccable! My family, friends, and I had such a good time here! Definitely get the cheese and the chocolate! Food and wine divine! Their wine stoppers are pretty cool if you notice them! They also sell them in the shop as well as many other things and it’s fun to look around down there! We definitely got more than our moneys worth, and will definitely be back when in Napa again!

Great for teenagers minus being able to tour the entire castle. The server treated our teens so well. Serving them 2 varieties of alcohol free grape juice and chocolates too.

I actually really liked one of the wines and got a bottle to bring home! The building itself is beautiful and big, and next time I would budget some extra time just to walk around and soak in the space. Our tour guide was great and it was fun getting to learn more about this place and wine.

This place is definitely worth visiting, the wine is great and there is a small farm with lots of animals on it. On the farm are chickens, goats, 1 rabbit, and 2 emus. There are lots of different species of chickens and goats. You can also visit the world's most photographed goat here (Giacomo), you cannot feed or pet any of the animals here though. The view here is great too. It is easy to find parking spaces and there is a short path that goes halfway around the castle.

Absolutely stunning castle located at beautiful location. Great selection of wine. Our host was super friendly, interactive and knowledgeable about wine. Overall experience was nice. We had booked tour online. Reservation included tasting of 5 wines along with self guided tour. However, most of the area was restricted for tour. Also, sitting outside on a hot sunny day was not super fun. Overall, I think it’s a lot of money for such a short experience.
