Dr. Franquelin and staff are amazing pet loving people who are professional and friendly. Recently our wonderful 18 year old cat, Boo, left this world. The entire staff was so helpful and caring. We will never forget them for their tenderness towards Boo and us.

Really friendly staff. Organized and punctual office. Dr was great with my pets. My dogs seemed more relaxed and content then they ever have been when visiting a veterinarian. Recently moved to the area and realized driving all the way to my dog’s last vet didn’t make sense. I was told about this place and it is very close to where we live. I was also told that they are very pricey, but after my first visit I felt the amount was reasonable. What I love most is their selection of flea medication. The topical kind doesn’t seem to work anymore and one of my dogs has a skin reaction so I stopped using that kind altogether. I now use their edible kind and it works so much better and lasts 3 months!

An excellent Veterinarian. We went there on recommendation from a friend for a surgical consult, even though we live in Santa Rosa.From the time you pull into the parking lot to a “home” warm layout to the staff that made us feel comfortable with our KonaGirl.The surgeon was extremely thorough in his review of Kona and the steps that we BOTH must take to be successful in this under taking.Enough said for now, but we have selected them to do her surgery and feel like we are in good hands.

I called to have an appointment scheduled on Friday for my pet. A very important appointment to help my dog recover. But they called me not until Tuesday and said they needed to cancel my dogs appointment and wouldn’t be able to service my dog for another two weeks. Disappointing.

I had cat wellness appointments for my two cats. When it came time to put them in the carriers and bring them, one ran away. I brought only one, and they understood the situation.Later when I returned home the other cat was waiting by her carrier. The Clinic was able to let me come back almost immediately and get the second cat taken care of.The staff were professional, and put me at ease as they took my cats to be seen. Dr Franqueline and I have known each other for years, and his knowledge and ability to work with both the animal and the owner, puts an element of trust in recommending him to people looking for a good local veterinarian.

Love this place!!!! They are such nice people and they really care about your pet. Reasonable in prices and they will work with you, if you have a big bill. We changed from our regular vet to Calistoga Veterinarian because they are so much better!!

Dr. Franquelin, Claudia and staff are so wonderful! Dr. Franquelin is warm and compassionate, and staff has their COVID routine down to a science. There are large signs out front that explain what to do when you get to the office. I was hesitant about coming in and visiting in a small room with my pet; a room that someone else may had been in earlier, but was happy to see that the staff came out to pick up my pet for the visit. The staff here is always friendly, courteous and empathetic. -Sushi's mom

I drive 50 minutes out of town just to go to Calistoga Pet Clinic. Dr Franquelin is the best!!!. I had gone to many vets before and never really had the experience I was looking for in a vet. I found Dr Franquelin and immediately could tell he cared to listen to the questions & concerns I had as well as show the utmost care for my pets. I've been going to Calistoga pet clinic for over 10 years now and its well worth the drive.

This was the first visit for our 8 week old puppy and she loved it and came out very happy. Everyone was very attentive and careful, from the friendly person who greeted us, to the Vet who personally came to deliver the puppy back to us. We love CPC!!

My two dogs and one cat received their wellness exams yesterday by Dr, Franquelin. COVID safe appointments where I waited in the car as each critter was taken in and returned, one after the other, with notes and comments from the Dr.. Handled very efficiently and kindly by Drs. assistant and all in a timely manner. Pretty smooth process!

If there was a higher rating than 'Excellent' I'd give it to them. Dr. Franquelin is one of those rare people who seems to genuinely care about every animal that comes through the door.I've been taking my two dogs there for over 3 years, and now I bring my cat (with kidney failure) there too.Dr. Franquelin takes time to explain everything that's going on with your pet, including one time he used Facetime on the iPhone to talk to my wife about our cat.His staff is also excellent. Maggie is the glue that holds that place together...she's awesome and also loves animals. Can't say enough good things about Calistoga Pet Clinic.My only problem with them is they're too far away. We drive 45 minutes each way to come here. Wish they were closer to where I live!

They are about the well being of your pet and you. Some vets I am have been to are just worried about money and put you through all this paperwork ahead of treatment. Entire staff was awesome and although they never met my cat or I. They treated us like old friends.

I like the safety practices that they put in place during COVID. We stayed in the car and they came to get our pet. It worked out well having 2 cats so we didn't have to worry about them freaking out seeing other pets. They are so caring and explain everything really well. Thank you!

I have been taking my cats here for years, my gecko once. They don't really specialize in reptiles, but do take good care of my kitties. Most recently, my wannabe Garfield cat has been peeing on my bed, with intent on having my attention while he's doing it. Internet said take him to the vet first, they check his urine, it's a UTI. Had antibiotics for him, now on the way to kicking that UTI.... When my Mom's cat reached his time, I went with her. The staff had the room ready, with candles and tissues. That day was heartbreaking, but they made it as bearable as they could, us knowing it was his time. He was about 22 years old. They fixed up a lot of his battle wounds from fights with neighboring cats for years before that. This place isn't just convenient as a local, but I keep going back as I'm impressed with the job they do.

Our 15 yr old girl Stella was feeling her age...but when she stopped eating and hard a hard time breathing we were referred by WCAL to take her to Calistoga Vet the dr was so kind and very compassionate explaining what he was doing to help Stella get her resting place.
