Their delivery service will screw you and the environment in the process. It's nice of them to offer it but I'm sorry I'm not out to punish the world that much! their automated system is a joke and yeah I HAVE corporate know about it. MOOCHY or whatever the pharmacy managers name is Geddes nobody will certainly spell it for me. They don't want to admit doing wrong!! For two weeks I've been trying to tell them you don't need to deliver every day when they come in on the same day! Don't mess with me and my health.

This is by far the worst rite aid pharmacy. Between the drive thru breaking down or the staff being unprofessional and not providing speedy service. It should never take over an hour to pick up a prescription.

I always get great customer service from all employees accept for today the day supervisor with the short hair and tattoos was extremely rude I did not like her lack of professionalism please do better with training with all your supervisors

First of all never ever set your medication to be picked up here. They are never ready. The pharmacy has the worst management ever seen. The overall price of everything in that store is outrageous. Worst pharmacy to ever be built.

Pharmacy is pretty bad, they filed my order late while I was sick and didn’t even call me when my prescriptions were done. Besides that the store is super expensive. 3 stars because I guess it is better than nothing when you really need something.

My child's doctor changed and though I told them 4 or 5 times, and supposedly they were putting the new doctors name in the computer, they kept emailing the old doctor for refills. Now it's a day late and a dollar short and I'm putting up with the consequence of my kid having a major melt down. They're the only pharmacy in town and they don't seem to be too concerned.

The staff is friendly enough, but the pharmacy is terrible. One person says one thing, the next says another. You call they say yes we have your prescription then you call the next day they say is on order. You try to do it through the app and they don't check it then you call only to have a worker say it's a good thing you called. The problem is this is basically the only pharmacy for 4 towns. Cal city needs a Walgreens or CVS as well to relieve this pharmacy.

Being a Cal City resident, we don't have many choices for shopping. And the choices that we do have are absolutely terrible! Hearing just yesterday that Rite Aid is filing bankruptcy certainly did not surprise me! This particular store has the very worst on-shelf availability that I have ever seen, with so many carts of un-worked freight clogging the shopping space, and totally blocking the empty shelves, that I myself stopped wasting my time and gasoline, even trying to shop here quite some time ago. Now, I simply make the 40 minute drive to the big box store in Tehachapi, and come home with everything that I need! Shame on you, Rite Aid! You totally deserve your demise! And don't go whining and blaming it on the big box stores, simply because they give the consumer what they need!

I have been reading some of these reviews from three and five years ago. And nothing has changed in all this time. The pharmacy is the worst. I have ever experienced with long phone hold times if they answer at all. Many times the phone just rings and rings and rings with nobody Picking up. I am still waiting for an emergency prescription to be filled

Terrible place to shop, some arrogant chasiers, great pharmacy personnel, but not enough of them to manage amount business during peak hours. Outdated pharmacy, still using 1850's drive thru tub technology. Amazed when a cashier can tell a customer to get out of 'My Store' because I questioned the sale price charge and she can't fix it for what ever reason. No manager was ever called, just get out of my store you can't, talk to me like that. I was just explaining to her the sale prices and no I don't have to buy two of the same kind of family sizes cereals. I've been shopping here since 1988 and it is not her store.Suzanne Amidon

Unfortunatly I’m not impressed with this place..nobody answers the phone..so it’s hard for me to fill my scripts and I am suffering with a horrid ear infection with no relief..I am also autistic and they won’t refill my psyche meds on time..filled em on the 19th last month and now they’re saying they can’t fill them until the 27th..I’m going thru withdrawals off my psyche meds due to this and have a fever and feel horrible along with the ear infection..I can’t drive so I have to walk there which I can’t even do right now due to how I feel..I gave this place a year to prove themselves to me and always have had issues..gonna have to switch back to Lancaster cvs since I go down there once a month..never had any of these problems with them.

Unfortunately I have to give this Rite Aid, in California City, only 1 STAR. The reason is because whenever I call to have a prescription refilled or need to speak to someone in the Pharmacy, it is next to impossible to get through and speak to a real person. That goes for the Pharmacy and general store info up at the front. Prepare to call several times and wait on hold for a long, long time.Edit: Unfortunately, prepare to wait on hold if you call Customer Service [1(800) RITEAID] to make a complaint. It's ridiculous. I would rather drive another 30 miles to have my prescription filled at Walmart.

Store is clean. Employees are friendly.They never answer the phone. EVER.They hide behind the RiteAid CEO message blaming the pandemic. OR. When asked they reply "that is a problem we are trying to get fixed "Since they do not answer the phone I've had to waste time and gas to drive 34 mile round trip 3 times to ask them to transfer my prescriptions from Walgreens to RiteAid.Unfortunately for everyone they are the only pharmacy nearby. I am seriously considering driving the 88 mile round trip to Lancaster Walgreens when I need meds.Avoid this store if you can. Take your regular business to the other California City merchants. Dollar General Grocery, Family Dollar, Ace City Hardware and all the small businesses.

Worst pharmacy I've ever experienced. The people working here have no customer service skills. Seems like they lose people's prescriptions, and don't fully understand their own systems. I'm pretty sure the lady that helped me was clinically blind... Rite aid needs to do some serious training in this location. Only reason I go here is because there isn't another option unless I drive 30 mins away.

My God!!! What an absolute “basket case”!! The entire store, is due for an overall, as far as customer service. I don’t understand how “corporate” allows this go on. So, this puts them a fault, as well!! Mostly, the pharmacy!!—too much to list, so suffice to say—I recently, switched to Rosamond Rite Aid, because of the constant issues, with Cal City branch. I have to drive half hour, compared to 10 min. Ridiculous, but necessary & Rosamond is complete opposite of Cal City!! Fast, professional AND they answer the phone instead of the system recycling so you have to listen to the menu, repeatedly!!!!—Thanks to “ERICA” & the management for XLNT service!!!—-BYE CAL CITY!!!!

The Rite Aid pharmacy is the absolute WORST pharmacy ever. My doctor put in mine and my daughters meds gonna friday. We didnt get most of them until saturday, which is fine. But two of the more important ones took until TUESDAY. That's ridiculous. They seem to always be understaffed, hardly answer their phones and prescriptions are never ever ready when they say.

4 trips now to this location over 2 days to get a simple prescription. They have the script, have the meds on site, and have been told 3 times they would be ready on a couple hours and I would get a call. No call. So I stop back again and they are closed before posted hours. Don’t think it’s too much to ask to get ONE simple, non addictive, prescription. Has nothing to do with opiates, pain killers, muscle relaxers. Honestly the worst location I have ever dealt with. Looking to get script transferred to another location and will never return.

I just moved to the area and this was my second visit. The first thing I noticed was the cleanliness. The floors shine, the shelves are stocked neatly, the lighting is excellent.I wore a face mask but I did notice that most of the store shoppers were not wearing them. The store staff all wore them.I browsed around, then took my stuff up to the cashier. Sam waited on me. She is engaging, bubbly, and made me smile. I would want her as my cashier again. ☺️ I definitely had a 5 star experience!

The worst Rite-Aid ever. The pharmacy is understaffed and untrained. Several mistakes have been made. Failed to refill very important meds for a week now. They can't extrapolate the need to roll over to a new prescription when an old one expired? And they won't answer the phone, either. I would not use this pharmacy but it is one of the only ones in this town. Shameful.

I would like to say "Manager Gabby" if that is her name and title. I tried to call at 805am and it rang through to the machine for 8 minutes. I finally hung up and called back later. I was trying to check on a couple prescriptions that had been dropped off the day before and requested to be notified by phone when they were ready they were dropped off around 3pm yesterday no notification was made. I ended up back in the Er from the same issue those prescriptions were given for. I was released at 2 am and in trimendice pain. Medications to take and new scripts. So at opening I called. 15 minutes later I tried again and was connected to "Gabby" who confirmed that the scripts were ready I informed her I had 4 more scripts to fill and someone would be bringing the in for me since we live 30 minutes from their location. And do to my medical issue I was unable to drive. I told her what the script were for and asked if she could give us an idea of how long of a wait it would be for them to be filled. She stated she had no idea. I explained that I was released from the second hospital in 3 days, no meds and in a very great deal of pain with an abscess that was about to lead to an amputation if I didn't start antibiotics immediately. And If she could please fill the as quickly as possible since we don't have the gas money to Run back and forth to get the meds and that my pain levels were beyond explanation I was told, that wasn't her problem the scripts would be ready whenever they were ready . I asked for a manager and was informed that she was the manager and to have a great day. As a Manager with over 20 years in the field I have never heard someone with such poor customer service skills. I hope you all have a great day. I wish this would let you post a picture just so you could see thesevarity of my situation. Anyway just thought you should know how "manager Gabby" treats you Custer's!

Every time i go there i experience a problem. My medicine is not ready, so they blame it on the doctor. Not his fault. I would go somewhere else but when i am sick, i do not want to drive to another pharmacy.The customer service is lousey. They never go out of their for anything, just take the money and have a nice day.This place makes me homesick for my old Rite Aid in the San Fernando Valley.I wish we had more choices out here in California City.

Staff is always polite and courteous And the few times I've have to return or exchange something I have never had any problems... Also when I have showed up to minutes before close, they were more than accommodating..With the good there is always some bad.. i dont know if its California City, or the incompetency of the pharmacy staff, but in the 5-years I've been going to Rite Aid, they have only been able to fill my prescription twice. And it has not changed in the last decade. They are unwilling to order it in and once they even told me they had it, so I drove the 50miles from my Dr. Office to their pharmacy only to be told they didnt have it. So i had to make an additional 80+Mile around trip because someone there was too lazy to check their physical inventory.

Horrible service at the pharmacy. Dropped prescription slip off at noon. Went back at 5;30 STILL NOT READY. taking into consideration their lunch hour...that was 41/2 hours. And of the 6 people in front of me including myself. Only 1 prescription was ready. Next time I will drive to Tehachapi to Walgreens. They know how to get it done.

Worse Pharmacy .......gave them a 1 because there is no 0. take forever to fill a prescription, or they call you to let you know prescriptions are ready and you still have to wait more than 15 minutes for your prescriptions...

Poor customer service. They tell you one time to pick up prescriptions then when you arrive, they are unable to locate your order. Not a display of professionalism and they happen to be the only drug store in this small town.....its pitiful, they ought tp hire more competent employees or close the business down all together......

The pharmacy there fill my pain med one month and then refuse to fill them the next month. That's even after talking directly to my doctor on the phone. And when I called my insurance. They called the pharmacy she got 3 different answers why they would not fill them. And no answer they gave made no since at all. Same doctor for the past 4 years.
