Honestly I liked the fact that this store was somewhat close to my house and it's cheaper than most places in the boron and North Edwards area however I'm very upset that my EBT card was skimmed here... I have tried for over 5 months to get benefits and for one reason or another was denied, pushed back and finally got the help, only to have my card 1 week, make a purchase only in 2 different stores, 1 in which I work at and this one and suddenly someone checks the balance and proceeds to swipe out my entire balance $748 dollars in one purchase in Anaheim... Shame on you guys, I'm a single mom of 2 babies you have no idea the struggle it was to get that assistance only for, most likely an employee, to do this...

Biggest dollar general I've been in. Was not expecting this almost grocery size location for this small town. Found all I needed and then some. They make everything look so tempting.

Reorganized and is very easy to navigate. Well staffed compared to the other dollar store across street always lines and 20 min waits.Family dollar lines only take 5 10 at most usually wait is is less than 5 mins in line.Shorter aisles easier to navigatealways has good clearance sales but get there early bcz they sell out quick.

I when there today and saw some items at 50% off i got some pillows for my daughters that had 50% got to cashier and she when to manager to ask for discount so I was told that they no longer had that special and that it was a regular price now because it had ended yesterday, they had all day today to take it down , so I ask her so why is there still the sign saying it's 50% off and she just told that employee had forgotten to take it off , why it's my fault that they don't do there job right and she didn't even apologize or anything or keep what it says on the paper.

Folks who work there are generally nice. Prices are too high for a cheaper discount store. May have something to do with the location and not enough competition. California City needs a Dollar Tree, Grocery Outlet and WinCo closer by.

Mostly overpriced, the meat section is disappointing, I get basic things here like toilet paper and milk but you can't get all your shopping done here, they've gotten somewhat better at keeping things stocked. Store is kept well and cashiers are always friendly. Would like more variety and better prices.

Don't place an order for pickup. We placed an order at 230pm for pickup at 6 to 7pm. It wasn't ready when we went at 7pm, was told to return 40 minutes later. I hope I don't have to explain how ridiculous that is.

Staff is very rude and they get upset when you add any digit coupons and get the things discounted, the prices doesn’t match from shelves to register. I go other DG stores and I can attach easily the coupons and get things in good price but this location doesn’t honor. I never found 70% or 90% off seasonal items they take all the stuff out of the shelves.it’s my request to someone high authority visit the store and fix the things.

Great service and cheerful staff! The staff was very friendly and we're eager to help me with my questions about products and where they were located. In particular, I had run across a woman named Theresa. She helped me and three other customers in a nice and very agreeable manner. If this is an indication of how you train your staff, then I think all your customers would enjoy coming to shop quite often!

Friendly staff, very clean and neat. Oh! You forgot to get milk or your child has ripped/ruined the outfit you had them in and the day is not over. Well no worries stop on in they have the milk, outfit and the energy drinks you need to keep on going.

I was looking for dog pee pads and was helped very quickly. The only thing I did not like was that there was animal supplies in different parts of the store and we had to run around looking at them all to see where the pee pads where located. I'm glad I was helped by a gentleman there who made it faster than if I'd looked on my own.

You can get basic, generic products here for a very low price. It's the perfect rescue when you are in a financial pinch. The only complaint I have is that the aisles are too narrow and the shelves are untidy. Some items are out of place or hard to find. The cashiers are friendly and helpful.

Upon my 1st visit to the store was rather interesting....it was a good experience taking with the floor clerk/manager who assisted me in finding a product. When i got to the register "with the light on"; I was told by an employee to go to another one.....this i did not underdtand. A young lady started she was own but yet handling something else at the time. I then proceeded to exit the store without purchasing my products. turned pleasant after I had to act rather impatient.....

I always have a great shopping experience at Dollar General! The store is clean, easy to maneuver around, and the staff is stupendous, they always go above and beyond the call of duty for their customers. I can't believe people are always in such a good mood! I love shopping at my local DG!!!

Everyone is friendly. The staff is helpful and the store seems to always be clean and we'll stocked/organized. I never knew there was a such thing as a Dollar General market. Impressed to see theyve stepped up their performance as a franchise.

This place was great and the cashier was really nice. (I don't remember her name) we bought many things for a little bit of money so that was great. It just sucks that they only have like 1 basket otherwise it was good

I like this store. California City isn't known for their shopping opportunities. They don't have a grocery store. The closest one is quite a drive, so it's nice that Dollar General has groceries.

Good service. Nice place to shop. Most prices are good. Could have more choice of fresh meat. Produce could come in more often. Cashiers and stockers are very friendly and helpful. The store manager is very friendly and nice too.

I'm new to town so I don't want to be too harsh just yet but it smells strongly of cigarette smoke and b.o. Inside.I'll update my review as I get more familiar.Edit ; went back again and it didn't have the bad smell this time and was over all a much better experience.

If you want groceries in California City, you're coming here. That's all there is to it. You have no other options!That being said... it's clean, well-organized, and the people are nice. They have plenty to choose from despite not carrying the full complement you'd expect from a larger grocery store chain.

It is a nice store with good prices, they have just what you need in terms of groceries. I shopped here for a while but just got fed up with the staff, it was always one thing or another, an employee dancing in the backroom, the lights not turned on in the registers, strange behaviors and more. I got so fed up I just shop at Stater Bros or Walmart nearby. ✌🏼

The employees are WONDERFULt they are kind and mean well. They seem to ask if theres anything they can help you with (kindly). That's ALWAYS a (++) plus plus in NOT making customers feel uncomfortable in any way and make u want to leave their store and u feel as u will ask for their help (customer service) if and when u need assistance (for sure) no problem. Not once did they make me feel as if I DON'T belong or out of place. THANK YOU . . . SATISFIED CUSTOMER (me) !!!

The cleanest, friendliest Dollar General with the best selection. The staff is always kind & very helpful. Beyond home items, they also carry fresh produce, frozen food, & packaged food. For such a small store, they have a great selection as well.

When first opened dollar general was well stocked and had great customer service. Now I go into store no one is welcoming me to store, no one asking if I need help, customer service sucks, cashier acts as if it's just a job and doesn't care about anything. No smile, no did ya find everything ok, no would you like bags, no have a great night or day. Worse experience and horrible customer service from cashier employees. The store wasn't stocked and was not neat Ethier. I was unsatisfied.

I've always found the staff to be very helpful. They've offered assistance from getting me a better cart to helping me to my car & unloading my cart.I've witnessed & observed nothing but kind & courteous service from this store's staff.
