I’m very happy with the grooming services, my dog (Pomeranian) looked very happy and the haircut was very nice. I love how they trimmed and shaped his tail, and how he looks overall. Price is very reasonable compared to other places. I’ll definitely come back.

Elza at the Buena Park location is a great groomer, she made the transition for my dog a smooth one from one groomer to another and she knows how to work with her and get the job done, will be bringing her back monthly for maintenance.

Staff was great, the store had exactly what I needed and the gentleman who checked me out was very kind and patient while my card was having issues. I brought my dog in - most people are terrified of him (despite him being sweet and gentle) and all of the associates were so kind to him and even gave him a treat.

Nice selection of leopard geckos, koi fish and overall relatively big store with great selection. They also have group and private dog training classes.

The manager was so kind to me. When I brought in a kitten to see if she had been micrchiped, he scanned her for me. Unfortunately, she didn't have a chip. So I took her home again. Whenever I visited this store in the past, all of the employees were nice and helpful.Remember, always spay/neuter your pets. This is kind and prevents the suffering of many kittens no one will adopt. The average life of a cat on the streets is only two years. Most get hit by cars. As a society, we can do better for the animals.

Hello,it saddens me to write this. My good friend was kind enough to go to the store to pick up cat food for my cat who wasn't eating the options I have at home. The cat is old and very thin so we need her eating. I gave my friend a picture of the food my cat likes and she went to this Petco and they sent her home with food that was all wrong. It was the same brand but that's where the similarities stop. It was Pate instead of pieces in sauce and it was chicken and turkey instead of fish.She went back and asked why she wasn't advised correctly and they gave her lip. She said she doesn't know about cats and didn't know that this would be wrong. Why, if she asked and showed the picture did she get the wrong food. I think that's a very reasonable question.She had the right food this time but also other food. Again. And they didn't talk nicely to her.Is it because she speaks English with an accent? What's the problem here? She goes to ask for help give her help please!Andrea

There's a sign by the groomers desk that says they accept walk-ins. Don't be deceived, they do not. Furthermore, they don't assist in making any appointments, they just inform you that they don't accept walk-ins.

I do not like the layout of this place. I'd rather go to the one on Katella when I'm down in Orange than go here. You never see anyone around. The people at the checkout have always been extra kind though.

We are looking for rabbit but they don't have it , we end up getting a dwarf hamster and it's so cute , we love it and kids like it too , i think this is better than a rabbit , because its is less work to clean it , the good thing are , everyone is happy hehehe . Including the dwarf hamster .

I visited today, Aug 6, not yesterday. The store needs some serious TLC, especially the Men's restroom. I'm willing to bet $50 that sink in there hasn't been cleaned in a month. Somebody might try carrying out the trash at least once a week if not more frequently. Dusting and rearranging shelves and sweeping the floors more than monthly might be advisable, too.

I don't want to put my pet's name I don't want to name the employee but the only one thing I would like to say is Joey the manager in the grooming section is the best of the best. I went with my pup yesterday. I paid for the package but for some reason the groomer forgot to do certain things. When I contacted Petco they were nice on phone. They connected me to Joey. He gave me an appointment for today I went there. He was very kind and humble. He saw what I was talking about he realized his employees mistake. He even apologized for his employee's mistake and fix it. What more a good manager can do. I bugged in corporate world for almost 18 years and I see Joey is a good manager. He has all the qualities and capabilities whatever is required for this position and any other bigger positions. I really appreciate whatever Joey did for me today because me and my wife decided to avoid Petco next time. But Joey by helping me today and taking care of my pup. Made us a satisfied customer. I I suggest whenever you go to Ball road Petco. You have any questions or any complaints talk to Joy trust me he'll fix it with a smile. Mr Joey keep doing the good work God bless you Thank you very much for today.

Groomed our rudy for the first time at a petco store. The result was satisfactory.It seems that I did not receive the stress that I was most worried about...After going to the hairdresser, I kept having a hard time trying to get the hair trimmed in my ears, but this time it didn't happen...I also liked the beauty. Joey G, thank you.I applaud your beauty skills.

Worst Petco I've been to and it's a shame because this is literally 3 minutes from me. The inventory is terrible. I ordered a collar and other items for pick-up and online it says the collar is available in-store for pick-up same-day. Then the confirmation email says it's not in stock in stores. A few days later I'm looking for a different collar online, it says it's in-stock so instead of doing pick-up I just go straight to the store. Now the second collar is NOT in stock in store but the first collar I originally ordered is there sitting on the shelf - 2 of them in stock. They have terrible inventory, the shelves are constantly empty of the varieties of pet clothes/supplies. The online database on in-stock items, I don't know what the heck is wrong with it but it's seems inaccurate a majority of the time. Their food stock is fine but if you're looking for any miscellaneous supplies, you need to go to a bigger Petco or just go to PetSmart.

Went and bought some bird food. The store is fairly large and the staff is very helpful and friendly. I primarily use this store becuase of convenience but, it does seem a bit pricey. I guess inflation is affecting everything.

Most everyone working there is kind, but yes as some of the reviews state below, some shelves are empty and unfortunately the cat food my cats eat are not in stock there and haven't been for quite some time. Other than that, I cant complain.

Review for the grooming service only. More specifically, getting nails trimmed:Very friendly & caring groomers. Either my Dad or I take our *very* "senior" dachshund, Buddy, in to get his nails trimmed. He shakes like a leaf every single time & we don't get him in as often as we should b/c of that, but there are a couple of groomers that always recognize him instantly. When I bring him in alone, one of the girls (I forget her name but she is usually there in the afternoon) always asks how my father is doing as well. Her love of dogs radiates out like light from the sun, and Buddy relaxes as soon as he's in her arms. If his nails are pretty long & they aren't busy she'll usually use the grinder to get his nails as short as possible w/o the upcharge associated with going from clipping nails to grinding them. Buddy always comes out acting like a puppers, even if she uses clippers & catches a quick, which is pretty rare.Honestly, I don't think I, nor Buddy, has had a bad experience here. We did have one issue regarding the closing time for grooming, but that could have been avoided by simply calling instead of using Google for hours. Basically, if you're a walk-in looking for something simple/quick like a nail trim, be sure to call ahead/get there 30 minutes before the posted closing time.
