Rays is a family owned small, but very well stocked local hardware store serving the communities of Forbestown, Challenge, Brownsville, Clipper Mills and Strawberry Valley, and probably the 36 people who live in La Porte. I cannot even begin to say how grateful I am that this store is here for us. We have few Services in this rural area,but Ray's Hardware allows us to fix our plumbing, electrical, floors, roofs, interior and exterior paint, our cars to some degree, helps us keep our equipment running, our saws sharpened, and our flashlights filled with batteries. They help up keep the lights on, the boards screwed down, the lanterns filled, trimmed and burning, the wood stoves in good repair and the pellet stoves stocked to keep us through the winter.Ray's General Hardware is a blessing to this community. Life here would be much harder without them.A big A +++ for Ray's.Bless their ever loving souls.We need them and they are there.Yay, Ray's.We love you.

The staff at Ray's is always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Though the store has a remote location, their prices are comparable to Marysville and Oroville.

Very good place I come from Elk Grove to get my lumber they have it all ready for me all I have to do is pay they load me up and I'm on my way I get all may lumber there 👍👍👍
