This store is typically clean, very friendly staff, poorly stocked in the frozen, dairy and vegetable sections.But the worst of all is, their advertised (on the flyer or in store) prices don't match the scanned price all too often, I urge you folks to double check your receipts before leaving the store.This has been happening since day one, it's terrible!I have complained to the staff several times and I've been told it's the corporation's fault.I will try my absolute best not to shop at this store again.

I am a very generous person, I helped those who are unfortunate however when the system like this store robbing customers blindly really angry me. I’ll get to the point, I stopped shopping there. The cashier without asking if you want bag, they willingly put your items in the bag after charging you for the bag, how is that fair. One small item n you get charged for a big bag you don’t want . If you refused the bag they don’t care becoz the bag is already added to the total n you paid for the bag already. Think about it 10cent per bag for each customer that go in the store, A day could add up to hundred of dollar free money to the store. Dollar general this is how you do business robbing customers to pay for your employees? Peoples before you pay the cashier ask if you are charge extra for a bag you didn’t ask for. That is .10cent out of your pocket into their or more… dollar general if this is how you do business plz do everyone a flavor n close it down, how embarrassing to do business by robbing customers. Shameful business get no business. What goes around will come around is karma, you will get your .Today is Oct 12,2022 @ 9:20am.I thought I give this store another chance by going in there to purchase a bag of ice. To my surprise m, the worse of the worse customer service in all dollar general store across California that I had been to. I walked into the store standing in the cashier waiting for someone to help me. This lady with bad auburn color hair dyed n another male worker. Standing about 20ft from me. She’s looking straight at me standing waiting to be help, yet she kept talking to the male worker, pay no mind about me the customer who only want to get a bag of ice. I looked back at her like hello can I get service? She looked back at me but that was that, so I walked out. As I was walking out I said worse customer service. Dollar general plz if you want to keep business in Brownsville HIRE peoples who actually want to work n be a good service to customers. All these workers are beyond help. Don’t just hire anyone. Loma Rica have one of the best management who know what customer service mean. When you walked in the greet you. Try to help you find what you looking for. Brownsville dollar general is a joke n if the cooperation investigate, you will see just how bad the store is being run… horrible horrible place. Yup I went n got my bag of ice at the gold eagle store. Nice job to the workers at dollars general for not making no sell. Eventually the store will be shut down due to bad worker with no profits coming in. If that woman is the manager plz dollar her FIRE HER, SHE WILL ONLY BRINGING YOU BAD REVIEWS.

It's really big and store reps very nice and helpful. I was very shocked they have everything in there, even brand names. I don't think there isn't anything they don't have, I really am satisfied with everything I have purchased in there. Matter of fact they've got so much it takes me forever to try and look at everything I have to just stop shopping. I'm really happy they built a Dollar General here in Brownsville, CA.

Will I was excited to have a dollar general in are small town but every time I go in there the line has 5 people with carts full and one cashier. Needless to say I left. And I was also looking forward to a red box like all the other dollar generals have but still don’t have one. Store is clean the refrigerators seem to be empty all the time and isles seem small and I feel crowed.

The food is affordable to our area in the Mountains we had suffered many years without the affordable food and toiletries .Everyone is Kind and helpful to all of the shoppers.Thank you Dollar General for coming to our area we were in desperate need of affordable food.

I would have given the Brownsville Ca. store more stars but every time I go in to this location there is no dairy products available they can't seem to keep this store stocked up with general products the store is clean and the staffing is nice does seem like they could use a few more people working

The worst costumer service.. The corporation of Dollar General hires people and trains them not to be human or to use their brain…I would go to the store daily just to save a few bucks and after months of the same routine I just got tired of it..They always have a line going to the door and will not ever send a second cash register person. They expect you to use their rinky-dink he self check out that gives you problems every time to the point to where you’re in the store longer than if you waited in the long line.. I’ve been in there every single day for the last two or three months to purchase beer and every single time I get a deed and it is because the employees there don’t have the courage to stand up to the corporation and tell them that they have brains and they could recognize customers.. They had ID An elderly woman with a walker clearly in her 80s they made her take out her ID.. I will from now on spend the extra money at the Golden Eagle

It's a Dollar General. They do have some produce at this location. Just about every time I go here though there is only one cashier with 5 people in line waiting to check out.
