I feel bad giving this place such a poor review because the lady was so nice and the amenities had potential to be good, but it’s marred by the most basic thing: the room. The room was really dusty and I couldn’t originally get into my first room (which isn’t necessarily their fault, stuff happens) so I was reassigned. The room had beautiful views in the morning so overall I’d consider coming back but once again the room was so dusty it’s unlikely.

I'd been past this place hundreds of times over the past 40+ years but we never had a need to stay overnight in Bridgeport. Not a bad place at all! No complaints with the room. Neither of us used the shower so I can't say anything about water pressure, towles, etc. TV was small but had a great selection and worked fine. Room was small and a bit tight with 2 adults but not bad. The room was clean and seemed fine. We wanted to check in early but the office was closed and nobody is there until after 2 pm. Employee's parked in the front of our room in their Honda Ridgeline but left so we moved our car there....quickly. A pair of Harley's took up too much space (as a rider myself, I wish people would consider others more). Quiet at night after 10 pm. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. Oh yeah......GREAT location near The Barn (best food in town).Nearby activities: Go get a burger at The Barn. You can thank me later!

The cabin style room was clean and cozy with all the amenities and you can park the car right in front of your room like a Motel. When we stayed it was all covered in snow and there were mesmerizing views from the porch at the back. The only drawback was the noisy AC, but with the cozy room, that did not bother me. The lodge is very close to the local eateries and some stores.

Booked a double queen room off the lazy river. The room was large, which was great because we had a ton of stuff. Room worked well for dogs and baby. Very pet friendly. Only bummer was that the TV had to be turned up super loud to hear it over the AC unit that was directly next to the bed we slept in. The AC kept the room cool enough but might be too small foe the room size. We had to run it constantly, which was loud. Be prepared for mosquitoes and other flying insects. We think they came in during cleaning, or maybe when we were unloading. Once we killed them all, we just were really careful with IMMEDIATELY closing the door. We didn't get any bug bites. Nice location, close to everything. Shower was AMAZING! HOT and GREAT water pressure! Overall this was a recommended stay. Would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Nice staff. Clean rooms. Heated pool and hot tub made for a nice relax after a day of motorcycling in the cold. Depending on what room you get, views can be excellent. Nice back porch for chilling and socializing. Picnic tables down by the water for enjoying a closer view of the wildlife. Multiple grills (charcoal and gas) if you want to grill. Great location close to everything downtown.

Not what I expected, place needs a competent Maintenance Technician to pay attention to detail , screen door, glass slider were hard to open & close, sink faucet was really hard to open, shower valve mixer was bad cold , hot to extremely hot . Went to chech in at 1:15 they were closed from 12:00 to 2:00 check in was at 2 showed up at 2 and she told us that it our room wouldn't be ready for another 45 minutes. Dont think I'll be back

Perfect spot in a throwback town. Very close to all the beautiful points of interest like Bodie Historical Park, Mono Lake, Twin Lakes, even Yosemite. Walking distance to good eateries and the best bakery in the Sierra. Highly recommend the river view/mountain rooms. They have a beautiful grassy area off a private patio and include common area grills and idyllic views. The hot tub and pool were very clean. Will stay again!

There aren’t a lot of choices near Bodie, and Walker River Lodge is nice! There’s a lawn and small private patio for most rooms, close to the river and convenient.Pros: very clean, new linens, spacious rooms, convenient, new tub and shower linersCons: mattresses are also dated. Feels like sleeping on a cardboard box stuffed with blankets. AC rattled like crazy every time it turned on all through the night

Very comfy and updated room. It was clean, cozy, and had all necessary amenities you'd expect. My only gripe was how difficult it was to turn on and off the shower, think the knob is fastened too tight, easy fix. Other than that, great place to stay.

Excellent hotel placed on the outside of the city. Large rooms and beautiful view on the mountains behind. Swimming pool present. Quick service during check in and in the room a large tv and coffee making machine, excellent shower with enough power on the water that comes out

I recently flew in to Reno, then drove my rental car, (or you can take the Eastern Sierra Transit shuttle) in to Bridgeport, and stayed at the Walker River Lodge for a couple nights. This unique and wonderfully located lodge is a great choice if you're staying in Bridgeport. Located at the end of town, sitting right near, or on the Walker River, you feel like you've stepped back in time and can finally, truly relax. Open your back door and within steps, lies the river, BBQ pits and some nice, clean picnic tables, and oh yeah, they have your horseshoe pits for ya! Within walking distance from everything in town...you'll enjoy the comfort of your room with nice firm beds, clean bathrooms, and a killer view to boot! Just be prepared for the gasoline prices here!!! 😳

I stayed two nights here. It was horrible. There was extremely loud music until after midnight. No staff did anything to quiet them down. The air conditioning in room 38 does not work. If you tell them that it doesn't, the maintenance guy will come turn the fan on and sat "see it works".This place looks nice, but it's simply a nice paint job and a new roof. I will never stay here again.

After a long ride through Yosemite and up to Bridgeport I am glad we chose Walker River Lodge! Our room was super clean and the bed was very comfortable! Water pressure is up to par in the shower. There was a microwave, satellite TV, and coffee maker in the room. Checking in was quick and friendly. You can tell that whoever owns this hotel takes pride in the property. I would stay here again!

Very nice hotel in Bridgeport. We got the Riverview room and the views out of the back door was amazing we caught the sunset from the back porch. The room was comfortable and had all basic amenities. The hotel also has swimming pool and hot tub. Close enough to all Bridgeport restaurants and markets.

We stayed here 4 nights on our road trip in the Eastern Sierras. The rooms were nice. We stayed in a family room, with 4 queens in connecting rooms the first night. That room was had a back deck facing the Walker River and a nice big lawn. The place is dog friendly and a good choice for people with dogs. The King bed room was a bit small, better to get a two queen room so you can spread out. The continental breakfast has a nice spread: oatmeal, toast, yogurt, juices, etc. The coffee was weak, but there are small coffee makers in the room, so you can make your own. Parking is easy and Bridgeport is a beautiful historic small town. The reception could be a little friendlier, but overall we enjoyed the place.

Great recently renovated hotel with comfy beds, clean rooms, and simple breakfast included. Room opened right up onto a riverfront lawn space with BBQ grills and horseshoe. Was a bit cold but we grilled anyway! Not much to do in Bridgeport itself in March but we loved hanging out in our room, which was quiet, clean, had a great shower, and good channels on the flat screen haha. It's about an hour and a half by car to Mammoth from here and about 2.5 hrs to Reno. We'll be back.

Quaint & quiet little place. Offers a continental breakfast but, if you’re here on busy don’t count on it as they don’t it serve till 8:00 am. You have to bring your food back to your room. The room was clean but SMALL. Two pieces of luggage and you trip over each other. They need to figure out their heating system. A safe town for walking & hiking. Great fishing & hunters paradise! Many hot Springs. The picture is a view outside the hotel.

Great hotel for the price we paid. Location is awesome, with a great view of the hills all around. Has good breakfast every morning with sufficient variety. Rooms are cozy and nice. Lots of parking space. This place is close to a few bars and the general store nearby sells lots of fridge magnets for a very low price ( < 3$ ) compared to other places. The road to Mono lake is beautiful with a great vista point. I would definitely recommend this place.

Laid back relaxing place where the world has slowed down a bit. Barbara was friendly at check in and laid the course for the rest of our visit. Pool & hot tub were great. We had a room along the river with a lovely deck-treat yourself if available.

Great place to stop on a 395 journey, or after a stay in Yosemite. Opt for the river view rooms and enjoy the sunset on the lawn. Very close to several dining options. Pool and spa were clean and people were enjoying themselves.

It's clean and spacious. We had the double queen facing the river, though you can't see the river because of the shrubs, the patio takes you to the green lawn with picnic tables (×3). 2 picnic tables equip with barbecue grills and one without. They have bicycles for rent (free) but there's only 2 of them so get them early. Our room have a bigger than usual refrigerator with freezer and a coffee machine, small table and chairs. My only complaint was one of the bath towels is old, torn, with seams busted yet so soft.Currently, due to the pandemic, there is no breakfast.

Had to take an emergency stop after a hard rain storm. Staff was accommodating and pleasant and allowed our dogs to stay. I gave a 5 star rating specifically because they allowed us to stay with dogs and clean our car in the parking lot. Thank you!

I would assume prices would be way less for this deserted area, but i was wrong. Anyhow, this place appeared to be amongst the higher rated and affordable options.Staff was amazing, cancelled my 2nd night reservation (due to plan changes) when, technically, i was passed the cancellation period. I think that's awesome.Place was definitely quiet, cute little town located by the lake and beautiful sierras to the west, short walk north.Breakfast 8-10, toilets are tiny and I'm not a big guy, showers remodeled.
