Great produce selection, but minimal organic -- growing though! We use this place regularly, but only for select items or worst-case scenario...

I think this store is really awesome, it's in-between a Safeway and Costco pricing wise, but the flow of the store could make it a more attractive place to shop if the rearrange some things to help with flow! Placements of certain goods and aisles, but a really good store to shop at close to home! 🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾

Went today to exchange a bottle of rum witch my husband bought by mistake not knowing we have it at home .. we wanted to exchange it not returned it .. bottle is sealed unopened and we have the receipt he purchased today 9/16 in the morning.The “manager “ said no because is a California law that prohibits the return of alcohol!!! What? Is the most dumb excuse I ever heard!Search for returning alcohol in California..(In summary, to return alcohol in California, it must be unopened, in its original packaging, and accompanied by a receipt. Some retailers may charge a restocking fee, and cash refunds may not always be available. Perishable items cannot be returned, and the alcohol must be in a sealed and unopened container.)We wanted to exchange it not refund!!Called FoodMaxx in Antioch and the manager said yeah no problem just make sure to bring your receipt!Call BevMo.. no problem you just have to bring a receipt!!! ( I asked what’s the policy to return alcohol)Sr. Who ever you are I’m sure you are not a Manager! But if you are … You need to read your own store policies to provide a good customer service!!

Definitely less crowded than the Concord location I usually have to shop at & the addition of Self-checkout is a HUGE plus, but they didn't carry one of the products I specifically went to buy, which Concord usually has, so that's why the 4 stars, instead of 5.

Remarkably well kept (clean), very impressive array of options in all departments (meats, cheese, alcohol, household goods, etc) prices were very competitive with what I’d expect other nearby stores would charge for similar items I purchased. I was also extremely impressed with how well staffed the store was, if we needed help (we didn’t) I didn’t have too look far to find a knowledgeable clerk. They also had ample check outs open (something most stores rarely seem to get right) so the check out process was a breeze! They also have self checkouts if you prefer that option too!

This is one of my favorite stores. They have great selections of thing from meat, freezer items,veggies, snack and everything else. They also have great prices. The store is usually kept very neat and tidy. They have a pretty decent selection of beer at good prices. You do usually have a bit of a wait if you don't use self check out but the savings are worth it!

This grocery store has great deals customer service is wonderful the only reason why I did not give 5 stars is they do have a lot of things on sale and our deals but when you go to the registry they're not registering as on sale so you have to keep an eye on your bill

Wide isles so you can stay further from others during the pandemic, very helpful, and accessible staff. Nothing fancy but good selection and cheaper than Safeway.. Checkout is sometimes confusing.

Miss leading advertising within their mediocre app. It's not the store employees fault it's thier crooked corporate structure. They are the only grocery store that I can think of around here that constantly miss leads customer's with their in app advertising. Perfect example they had purchase two 6 packs of bottled Coke products and the app coupon said good for 2 uses. So you'd think well I'll purchase 2 today and come back and purchase another 2 before the coupon expires. Well it's still showing in the app on my phone and today I went in to buy the other two ✌️ 6 packs and it didn't work. The poor cashier had to say it's only good one time. Each 6 pack is counted as a single purchase and when I bought the first two 6 packs I in fact used up the 2 uses of the coupon.. That's totally miss leading. If the coupon is only good one time then it should not show up in your app again after I clipped it and used it already... I'm done with Food Maxx.

The groceries: low choice. Had to settle for kale in a presealed bag, the strawberries were mostly looking like they're on their last with one growing mold.Prices: higher than Winco but with less choice.Employees: the employee however were professional, particularly Lisa. She did her best to aid me with finding groceries, then was patient in a large transaction with multiple issues of Foodmaxx coupons glitching, etc. .... all at near midnight. She never made me feel rushed. Instead she was kind and a great problem solver.

I have only been here a handful of times and usually the store is well stocked. Today I was pleasantly surprised with some of the deals they had, including shrimp. Unfortunately, the butter I usually buy, Kerry Gold, seemed to be out of stock or FoodMaxx no longer carries it. That was quite sad. I could not find an employee who I could verify with. Overall, the store was clean and the Checkers seemed to be in good spirits, but then again, I was hardly acknowledged.

Quick and easy, especially with self checkout. After 10pm can be a pain because there us only one checker. Glad to see a gluten free section, but lacking a proper organic produce section. This is my, "quick I need something late at night spot."

Never crowded, lines go fast, staff are friendly. I love shopping here except i just hate they have one spot for Pepsi 6pk bottles and they Pepsi dude puts like 3 on the self every morning. It's ridiculous.

Most FoodMaxx locations are fairly run down and not much of a pleasure to shop at. This location is very different, however. They're generally clean, well stocked, and well kept and everything runs smoothly.

Cool "in-n-out" grocery spot, cheaper than Safeway; produce just as attractive - plus there's currently a very personable gentleman that works in produce that is willing to help in any other department, and welcome a little small talk which gives this location a "mom 'n pops grocery" vibe.The kids love the cookies in the store-baked section, and it's an easy walk-through.Check out can be more efficient, but that's everywhere.

At 4:00pm on a Saturday, there were small lines and plenty of meat, canned goods, etc. Less people and ease of shopping. You do have to bag your own groceries.

This is the cleaner one in my area and I use that loosely due to the fact that I have been in better FoodMaxx is in the Bay Area. This evenings fruit looked horrible. This was the first time I experienced it since I've been shopping here for over a year

I really love our Food Max here in Brentwood. All the produce is displayed nicely and convienentlyeasy to shop for our favorite fruits and vegetables..The bakery department always has a fine assortment of cakes cookies and pies with many extras to chose from that's so delicious. I really like the way this store is layed out..Everything you need to prepare meals with or stock up onIs very easy to find..The store has a nice selection to choose from. Whether you prefer name brand items or store brand items the savings is worth every pennyspent.. Food Max grocery store is my favorite grocery store..aslo Id like to.mention

People are really friendly there that worked there and helpful but the customers are real snotty people argue about the self-checkout machines I was next I have tons of staff but all of them are walking around the stores didn't mean it but the front otherwise I like you guys
