Recommended a surgery to remove a growth on my dogs ear that wouldn't guarantee that it would heal properly with a low estimate of $3,000 to high of up to $4,000 dollars. I scheduled the appointment but was bad timing from a monetary stand point so we did not go and low and be hold the growth went AWAY on its own! Any they have the audacity to send me a no show bill when I almost spent $3000 and up to remove a growth that went away on its own!

We visited BVH on Monday. Worried about our pups right eye and left paw. The meds have reduced inflammation on her pads and chewing has stopped and the gooey goobers in her eye are gone. She is so happy to be feeling better! Thank you!

Dr. Emanuelson is/was terrific. I think she is truly competent and thorough. Only three stars given because of the outrageous charges: $350 for an inhouse CBC -- at least 100% over what it cost to do.

Great group of veterinarians. It fairly easy to get next day appointments. A little spendy in my opinion but our two pups get great care.

Very professional, Dr. Wright is an excellent vet. Dr. Wright spends as much time to make sure all your questions are answered . She also is meticulous about the welfare of your pet. The office staff is also very professional and extremely friendly. I live in Clayton, so the drive is a little longer to Brentwood Veterinary than the other Vets in my area. But, the drive is well worth the service I receive at Brentwood Vet. Hospital. Terrry Hyland

Been a client for almost 25 years. Chewie and I both had a great experience last week. Our visit was with Dr Beaumont. She was absolutely fabulous. Chewie is a typical young Terrier, very high energy. Dr Beaumont recognized that immediately. She sat on the floor with him and did the exam there. He immediately responded and calmed down. With Dr Beaumont we are in very good hands! I highly recommend this practice.

Long time client since we moved out here in 2013. We've taken all of our pets there throughout the years and have always felt like they really cared about them. The last visit concerned my bengal cat and I felt they went above and beyond with their care.

Love this wonderful compassionate team! We adopted a mixed breed puppy and they have helped and supported us with her care. She is ending up to be a very large dog who is loving and sweet. They help us keep her healthy and happy. Much appreciated!

Clean, spacious and bright reception area. Staff is friendly. Just didn't like that I wasn't informed beforehand about the "technician fee" that they added to my bill.

We have taken our office service dog, Mr Biscuit as a client at Brentwood Veterinary for many years dating back to Dr. Duane Schnittker. The doctors and staff have always taken excellent care of him. He lived a long, strong and healthy life for over 19 years as a working dog in our children’s dental office.Thank you to each of you who have gave him the utmost care. We appreciate all you have done for him. He is now smiling down on us in doggy heaven.LaJuan M Hall DDSMike Schneider DDS

Back again with an update with our dog Dallas, to Dr ray just so you know the current vet clinic we went to actually did a full check up blood work and all. Something your facility failed to do just because you saw her and felt that Dallas needs to be put down. But they said she still has quite a bit of spark because her HEART IS STRONG. And they even provided ACTUAL ANTIBIOTICS. Your stupid EYEDROPS WERE MAKING HER EYE WORSE!!!!!!!! THEY WERE CAUSING HER EYE TO GET MORE INFLAMED!!! And she will be getting the needed surgery on her eye which she was APPROVED FOR . So obviously you need to get a degree in EMPATHY INSTEAD OF SIMPLY LOOKING AT A RESCUE DOG AND SAYING DAMN SHE LOOKS BAD. SYLVAN VET CLNIC even said you can see she has the spark. So whatever YOUR REASON FOR NOT TOUCHING OUR DOG MAYBE STICK TO YOUR PEDIGREE CLIENTS . SO PLEASE FOR anyones sake be more mindful.

Doctors.are great. Service has deteriorated q lot. Not sure of the people behind the scenes changed. My wife was few minutes late for an appointment and they charged a no-show fee. There has been numerous times when we had appointment and were made to wait for upto an hour. So, we changed our loyalty to a different place.

By far the best vet we have taken any of our animals too. Very knowledgeable and caring of animals. Communication was top notch and their pricing was perfect.

We recently, had to have our Beautiful 11 yr old Bengal, kitty Tia, put to sleep, on Nov 30...after contemplating, the issue, for a month, of hoping Tia, would recover. We were met, by a Tiny Asian girl, who, was so sweet, knowledgeable, and compassionate, who explained, the procedure to us along with the options, too. After giving Tia, an anesthetic to calm her, down, before the rest of the procedure, We were given Tia, to hold, pet, love and say goodbye, then the final dose was injected, and Tia, passed away peacefully, in my arms..Although, the experience, was painful, for us, Tia passed, peacefully, knowing she was in my arms...Thank you so much, for your compassion, love and caring, for our Babies, that cannot speak for themselves...

Truly wish less than one star was an option. I missed an appointment for my dog to get seen due to a close loved one passing the morning of the appointment. Of course, the vet appointment slipped my mind in grieving. The first time I got on my phone this day I checked my voicemail to hear a very passive aggressive message from the office telling me how awful it is to miss an appointment and the office will not be able to take care of my dog any longer. This office has no care or concern for its clients. Not even an inquiry into what the cause of a missed appointment is…like a loved one passing, what if I got in a wreck, got sick…there are so many valid reasons to miss an appointment suddenly.. To just assume it’s out of irresponsibility is ignorant and what’s worse, to be so rude on the call without knowing a cause is ridiculous. I do not suggest this place to anyone. They aren’t caring…which is everything a vet office should be. The kind of vet that cares about $$$$ only. Gross. Plenty of better options.

Been with this vet since 2012 and have always been very happy with their doctors and staff! They made every visit easy and always done in a reasonable time frame. They are currently operating mostly curbside due to Covid but they have made it super easy. All the parking spaces (mostly shaded) are numbered and have their phone # posted. You just call and let them know what space you're in. A technician will come out to greet you and basically get all your information for the visit, just as if you were in the room. Then they will take your pet into the clinic for the doctor to exam and for the techs to get all the vitals and weight. The doctor will call you or come talk to you depending on the purpose of the visit and go over their assessment and treatment plan if any is needed. Finally the receptionist will call and collect your payment information. The ONLY reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the high end cost. I pay it for the quality of service but wish they were a little easier on the pocketbook.

Stay away from brentwood veterinary hospital because they only care about their money nothing else after being a client for many many years they held medication told needed due to not having our bank card to pay while there after I told them I will call them with paymemt the minute i get home. Client for several years. Stay away from this vet. If we weren't a client for so so many years I would understand their tactics however after being a client for so may year's we'll actually my husband has been, they should know we were not going to run over $130. Despite promising to call with payment the minute I got home they didn't care. Sad sad sad to held medication when I told them I will call once I get home

We had an unfortunate loss in our family. Our neighbors dog mauled and killed ours. We didn't want to kids coming home to this mess. We called around looking for cremation for our dog. Upon calling we found Brentwood veterinary was not the cheapest, but there tone of voice and compassion through our the entire situation put us at ease knowing we chose a loving place with genuine people. Thank you to the amazing staff for being so nice and understanding. The staff went above and beyond in helping guide us in our sensitive time of needs. We have found our forever home for our furry children and plan on coming back.

We have been using Brentwood Veterinary to care for our Japanese Akita since 2017. I love that they listen patiently to our questions and provide excellent care. They always fit her in quickly when needed and have been amazing.

We took our sick dog in a few months ago and were told she had a heart issue and would have to take medication for the rest of her life. Just a few days later our dog just got worse so we called in and made the decision to put our beloved dog down. We called and were told that they would not be able to accommodate us and told to call for the emergency vet instead. No compassion for our situation was given so within a few minutes another vet on Balfour Road fit us in and have us the dignity that our original vet office didn’t give us. I did not write this immediately after our pet died, I instead waited a few months so nobody can say it was raw emotion driving this review.

Been going here since 2001 when we got our first dog. Amazing, caring people work here. They are diligent with reminders which is helpful if you are a procrastinator. I trust the care of my furry family members implicitly

I came here hoping this place would have an interest in helping my injured cat, who I was very concerned for. I walked in and the first person seemed very welcoming and asking what kind of help I needed. I told her about my cat's injured wrist. She asked if I came there before and I said no. Then she said that there were no doctors in, that they all flew to some business meeting and won't be back for a while. That made little sense because the vet doors were open and staff behind their desks, if no doctors why are you open? Then she proceeded to get rude with me and literally told me: "why won't you take your cat and scooch over to the animal hospital around the corner, I'm sure they'll help you." All while waving me out the door. Wow, Brentwood, I'm new here and already feeling disappointed. If any doctors that work there feel the same as your staff, Shame on you! It's about the love of animals regardless of the person. It makes you look bad who you have on your team for your business. Good luck with that

Brentwood Vet RUINED our bulldog, they openly acknowledged that they RUINED him and had no answers for it. Roscoe went in for ACL surgery and the day after he had it was limping badly with his leg bent inward at the knee. We called and said he looked like he was in pain and the knee was filling with fluid to which Dr Odom replied, this is normal give it a day or two. The next day - two days out from surgery - his knee was the size of a kids basketball and we took him in. The procedure didn’t take - the fishing line, more or less, used in ACL reconstruction popped at the clasp and Brentwood Vet had to repeat the surgery the next day. When we brought Roscoe home the second time he couldn’t keep his food down. More to the point he couldn’t get a morsel the size of a pebble down without regurgitating it. The tech said she noticed when he was waking up and she tried to feed him he threw up.For three weeks post knee surgery Roscoe was at their “hospital” every other day as they ran a battery of tests on him trying to figure out what went wrong - charging us for each visit! . They wanted to put him under a second time to scope him to which we declined - we said you’d have a 50 lb dog under 4 times in less than 2 months and they agreed that wasn’t healthy. My wife and I went to talk to their staff and said “we brought our family member in for a routine surgery and you ruined him.” The one honest/admirable thing Brentwood Vet did in all of this was acknowledge that they, indeed, did harm him and ruin his ability to swallow.4 years later and Roscoe is still with us but on an expensive diet and his food needs to be ground up and made into soup for him to eat it. I wouldn’t have written anything but we needed a small favor from Brentwood Vet and what short memories they have and rude new staff. Rude!If this post keeps one animal safe and out of Brentwood Vet then Roscoe will not have been ruined in vein. RUINED may be a harsh word. They ruined his ability to swallow but he still brings us much love!!
