So much to love!Quaint, old West vibe throughout property which caters to RVs and hotel patrons. Having experienced both - can report both are superb. This was a hotel pet stay and was awesome!Beautiful and spacious room with standard amenities. Restaurant, Saloon and beautiful pool/shaded tables await you when not sightseeing, off roading or exploring town.Resort is literally walking distance to Anza-Borrego State Park Visitors Center and right on main drag.Rooms: Spacious, clean with excellent AC. Great night’s sleep!Safety: I’m solo but feel safe on this resort property. Very well maintained.Walkability: On main drag, AB Visitors Center in walking distance.Food & drinks: There is a full bar Saloon and burger joint.

The service at this resort is amazing!! Totally worth it. The people are so friendly and strive to meet the individual needs of their guests, which they did for us 100%. I had an issue with my reservation which was my fault, and they didn't hesitate to correct it, without asking me questions about why it happened, etc. It made me feel completely comfortable and trusting of this place. The facilities are spotless! It was also very, very quiet the entire week we were there, which was last week. The location is so perfect--one mile or less to Anza Borrego Park. Maintenance people, landscaping, and cleaning crews were all very friendly and helpful. There is a large walking area behind the resort that is desert with trails. We will be back and we cannot wait to return!

I’ve been to a few of the RV resorts owned and managed by Highway West. This one is definitely built up more than a normal out nowhere rv park. Two pools and hot tubs allow for plenty of room if your visit is during a busy time. The RV portion of the resort is well kept and clean. All hookups work EXCEPT cable. The hotel is cool with its themed buildings. I peered into a few rooms being cleaned and they looked like standard hotel rooms. The bar is California priced.Staff is very nice.I noticed the bath houses use a silly old decking material (probably to add to the look) the decking material should be replaced with something less splintering and more level.

A whimsical hotel with cute wild west theme. All the comforts of home. This large property is walkable and has an outdoor small ampitheatre with fire pit. There are amazing views. You can see the night sky with ease. The pool and hot tub are a plus. The rooms are super large and cozy with a table with chairs plus a soft chair to stretch out. A coffeemaker and hairdryer in the room are a plus. Nearby are the outdoor desert metal sculptures and some shopping.

It's cute on the outside but that's it. Water bugs in the tub, no hot water, unsecured wi-fi, television unwatchable due to poor reception/glitches, my room smelled like a basement. I ordered food but it never arrived and when I inquired at the front desk they said the kitchen was closed. Why didn't anyone say anything at check in and why was I allowed to order and charged for a meal that was never going to come? I still have yet to get an ETA for a refund on the meal.Update- I finally got my refund, three weeks after i stayed there, for my meal after having to remind them again. In the voicemail they left me they were unprofessional and made sure to take the opportunity to be snarky about getting me a refund after I ordered even though they told me the kitchen was closed. They mentioned the large party on site but did not say anything about the restaurant.I didn't ask for a discount for my stay and they have not offered. Dragging their feet about this refund and leaving "I told you so" comments is so unprofessional. This hotel is rundown and is the worst place I stayed over my three weeks road tripping through all of California.

The location is wonderful. The rooms are big and spacious and has accommodations expected (small fridge, coffee pot, shower, towels etc.). The outside grounds are nice and two pools. Where it lacks is we stayed at beginning of heat season early May and places around were shutting down. This hotel also apparently went into saving mode. There was no one at front desk at all to handle things from about 7 at night until 9 the next day. The electricity went out in our rooms about 7 AM the morning we were going to leave. No one to get hold of. I only found out later from another business that it was an all over town thing. It would have been nice to be able to have some place to contact. When you call the number they say to reply to text you receive when we checked in. We never received a text. When I finally called and reached the front desk after getting home they said they had no idea the electricity was going out. I am not sure why some businesses knew and they did not, but nevertheless, in my estimation the lack of customer service is why I would most likely think long and hard before I stayed here again.I hate to leave negative reviews, but customer service and communication is the best thing to advance a business.Nearby activities: The statues out of metal is what keeps us coming back to this town or a surrounding town.

The front desk staff made us feel so welcome and made sure that we had the lay of the land. The whole place was a treat with its old west facades and well maintained landscaping with raked dirt cacti and palm trees. The pool was refreshing and the hot tub warm. And the restaurant had phenomenal burgers.Rooms: Room was large and I liked its southwest vibe.Food & drinks: Burgers were so much better than we knew to expect. Yum. A lot of people opted for milkshakes, but we had beer. There was nin alcoholic beer available too.

Palm Canyon Hotel was new to me, and I asked for, and received, exactly what I wanted in a room. When I opened the door, I was delighted by the spaciousness, comfort, and privacy. We stayed for a week in late January, and it was always quiet. There is a great advantage in being almost across the road from a path to the Visitor Center, so the location is also excellent. Thank you for listening when I described what I wanted. We'll visit again.

If you love the desert, you will like Palm Canyon. The hotel is for people who like being in a room with a shower or if you have an RV. They have two pool area's and a terrific staff. The hotel is rustic and cute.We stayed when the restaurant was closed, but there was a restaurant less than a mile away with great food. We had a great time.

Love, love, this western themed decor hotel! So quaint and cozy, yet spacious and plenty of natural light. Our room (210) has the pool view balcany, which was also great for star gazing. The garden ground was immaculate. Staff at front desk and restaurant were friendly and helpful. We tried the Magic Mushroom burger and fries at Big Horn. A bit small and pricey, but oh, it was deeelicious! Will definitely try their other curated burgers. The location is perfect. Parking is a breeze. The only cons is the AC unit. Loud. Bring ear plugs and you'll be just fine.

2/21/24: clean room, friendly staff, good burgers. Room lighting is dim, wifi is spotty and could be improved. Perfect base for local hikes.2021: Nice and clean park for a few days exploring ABDSP. Hospitable reception staff, leveled pad for our RV.Rooms: Clean, not entirely sound proof.Nearby activities: HikesFood & drinks: Good burgers and beer.

We spent the weekend there 4/21 to 4/23 and really enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious and clean. Loved the balcony. The pool and spa were awesome, both perfect temperatures. There were a few tables and we were able to eventally snag an unbrella. The location is 5-10 minutes away from the town and many delicious resteraunts. 20 minutes away from the Slot Canyon which was Amazing. The whole weekend along with our friends was lovely. We will be back next year for a night sky tour!

This place was a great find. We all loved it. The pool is heated and there was hardly anyone there the weekend we went. The service was very attentive via the text messaging they do. Gave us cookies during check in. Super friendly. Room was very clean. everything worked. My only complaint kind of was "the balcony view" yea u can see the mountains ⛰️ but they're obstructed by the rv park. Other than that it was great. We didn't go to their store, restaurant, or saloon this time, but we already booked another visit there and will try it out then!

Such a fun adventure! We stayed in a vintage Airstream trailer and it was perfect! It was clean and had everything we needed. The gas firepit outside was a fun add. Next time I will bring stuff to BBQ, that would have been fun. The 'saloon' (Big Horn Burgers and Shakes) was perfect. When we checked in we were given a coupon for a free drink by Nate. Nice touch! We settled our stuff into the trailer and went back to enjoy a drink and live music. They were just opening up for the season so the staff were all settling into their routines and the store shelves were still being stocked. Everyone was friendly and the patrons were all happy (even a couple people dancing!). The spa jets didn't seem to work (but we didn't ask anyone for help so maybe they were?)Very clean campground and surrounding grounds. The staff definitely works hard and you can tell. We definitely recommend!

We had a pretty good stay in the resort. Enjoyed hot spa.One suggestion- you should carry all microwave safe bowl if you are taking something ready to it food. Also, it's recommended to have cutlery and plates with you if you are planning to have food in the room !! They don't have plates and cutlery inside room. The bar was amazing and the bartender was so keen and friendly. Loved the ambience.

Cool spot in Borrego Springs. The room was comfortable, pool was great, and I loved the old west town theme. The property is clean and well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is great: close to shops and restaurants and central for lots of hikes in the area.

This was our very first trip with our newly bought trailer! When we arrived, the hospitality workers, Gary and Tom, guided us to connect our water and electricity. Later on, they gladly came when we needed help, putting up the swing and setting the stabilizing jacks for the trailer. Tom even went on and showed us his rock painting collection and they were all beautiful. Gary taught us how to clean up the trailer to prevent it from bugs and bacteria. They were both so nice! The office staff were really enthusiastic to help us, giving us an easy check in. After the check in, we had some issues with our A/C, and all the staff were working together trying to help fix it. And the manager of the site, also named Gary, fixed it.The location of the RV park was also exceptional. It was conveniently tucked in next to great restaurant, and to tourist sites. The park also gave us a really nice view of the mountain. All in all, the service and location were amazing.

This place is so charming! Western old town theme, large and well set up comfortable rooms, the saloon and restaurant looked great as well. We were only here 2 nights and plan to return. Hot tub and pool are perfect! Gift shop has everything you needed (that you forgot to pack) and we each bought a souvenir t shirt. Can’t wait to return! We also have an RV and so we walked that area to check it out. It looks perfect!

We have been living full time in our RV for the past year and have been traveling all over and seeing some beautiful places. This campground is the nicest campground we have stayed in since we started our journey. The sites are very large pull through sites mostly, the two pools are heated and amazing, the two hot tubs are excellent. They have a store, a restaurant, and also a place to do laundry. I never stayed anywhere that was so surreal and peaceful and the staff was overly pleasant

Great location near State Park and Ocotillo Wells recreation, good hiking and dog walking area out back. Sites are very narrow, sandy and not level. Restrooms and showers old and poor lighting but clean. Expected much better for price and being called a resort.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was comfortable and close to all the sights we wanted to see in Borrego Springs. The staff was very helpful in checking us in and familiarizing us with the area. We didn't know we'd have a refrigerator, so next time we come we'll bring our own breakfast. I didn't try the pool, but next time I will. Thank you!
