I wish I could give this place 6 stars :)The moment we entered the hotel and were greeted by a host, it felt like home. It’s so cozy and stylish, that you want to stay there for a long time. The coursed dinner was simply amazing, sauces were so flavorful and the ingredients are so fresh, it was mind-blowing.Definitely a destination place! Loved every minute of our stay, thank you so much for a great experience!

Absolutely amazing stay at the Boonville inn! We stayed in the side room and it was a cute, cozy room. I would recommend staying in the roadhouse rooms as they have a lot of charm. Dinner was AMAZING. One of the best meals I’ve had! And the breakfast of scones and biscuits was fantastic - again some of the best pastries I’ve ever had.Boonville itself is a sleepy town but recommend driving to the coast or Navarro river on a sunny day, checking out a winery and Anderson brewing company!

Any foodie should pay a visit to the Boonville Hotel Restaurant in Anderson Valley. Every meal reflects their dedication to acquiring high-quality ingredients. While we weren't particularly fond of the green fava bean custard with apricot 'bread salad,' the rest of the dishes are spectacular! Our server, Sierra was attentive and wonderful. They also have an amazing wine list with exceptional options at reasonable pricing. Priced at just $95 per person for a sensational five-course meal, dining at the Boonville Hotel Restaurant is an incredible value. Their prix fixe dinners, available Thursday to Monday, offer a wide range of delectable options. And during the summer, they have Paella Sundays. Overall, the Boonville Hotel Restaurant is a pleasant dining experience that we look forward to when we return to the area.

I had the misfortune of getting very tired as I approached Boonville. I can see this as a great place if you love expensive wine, love wine country, and have money to burn. For triple the average hotel room, I got a room without TV, without air conditioning and I couldn't open windows because the loud outdoor dining room /bar complete with crying baby and Hall and Oates muzak was right below my room. The icing-on-the-cake was it was ANOTHER hotel that installed "Occupancy detector" light switches THAT DON'T WORK, and REMOVED all other switches. Great place for bats to stay, but with me being a human, I needed light. I can handle a bad experience without too much complaining, but to pay close to $300 for a few hours of not being able to sleep, watch TV or have light,...come on. Leave this place to the pretentious Pinot peeps.

Boonville is a small town surrounded by mountains agriculture and wineries. Still has a small-town feel.I normally stay at a different location but always go to the Boonville hotel for a semi gourmet dinner. By far it is the nicest restaurant and best dining in Anderson Valley. No need to dress up here. It is fine dining but everything else including the town where it's located is very casual. Recommended if you're in the area.

Charming hotel with lovely and quirky details throughout. The Side Room was a quiet and peaceful place to sleep at night. Wonderful wine selection (in the restaurant and for sale). Highly recommend for a weekend getaway.

I am always somewhat reluctant to leave reviews but this experience justifies the effort. I can’t agree less with the people who are leaving 5 star reviews based on the service, the food and the costs. One always has to be aware of mixing the experience of an area or place with the actual experience and to be perfectly honest, the Boonville Inn and Restaurant was beyond underwhelming. The first item of note is the obligatory 20% tip that was imposed on us and all other guests under the guise of the restaurant adding “to provide a living wage to our crew”. First off, that is not the restaurant paying a living wage, that is me paying a living wage. Having travelled through Europe where the restaurant pays a living wage and does not depend on tips to do so by pricing appropriately this is an absolute insult. You pay your staff appropriately by charging accordingly – then and only then are YOU paying a living wage. Second, by imposing a 20% minimum you have guaranteed that service will be abysmal (more on that to follow).Second, the food. To pay $95 for what is contrived and lacklustre in a 4 course tasting menu and having the dessert be virtually inedible is insulting. The first course, a scallop dressed in essentially a gastric with shaved, raw olives was just middling to OK. Course 2 was at best a failure and was described as chip dip with chicken broth by my partner (she was correct). The third course was served in a bowl that made it difficult to eat and the final course was a slow poached lamb shank that was repeatable by any amateur cook and served with no starch, no polenta, no mash… a simple lamb shank. The dessert course was a rhubarb shortcake that was rock-hard and surrounded by outrageously sweet custard. The service was horrible. We brought a bottle of wine for corkage, I ask to a taste to ensure it is not corked. That is done, but then I have to ask for a chiller. The chiller is provided but no wine is poured for my partner. Then as the wine chills the server visits the neighboring tables on occasion but says nothing nor pours any wine. My partner is also now in charge of pouring waters for us (remember – 20% tip guaranteed!!!). Other servers show up with dishes, no explanations, and just pretty much drop and run. Still… no wine pours. So I start pouring wine for us and get water from my partner. This continued all night (oh did I mention that our romantic end to our trip was concluded in 50 minutes????). We noticed that every other table was pouring their own waters and if they had a bottle of wine… their own wines. To top it off, the waitress was describing her preference to not wash her hair to the table beside us because eventually it just falls into place. She then rubbed her hair to show them, went to the line and brought our desserts!!!This was the worst experience I have ever had in wine country – bar none. The food is over-priced, over-hyped but then is absolutely destroyed by the horrific service.

If you are not already staying at the hotel, in order to make it to the restaurant in time for dinner, you will have to make your way through the barren, twisting, and mountainous path of Highway 128, all the way up to the point when you reach the charming community of Boonville. This is the sort of food that can be easily consumed over and over again without any difficulty. Check the restaurant's website before making the journey there since the restaurant's operating hours change according to the season and the food that is being served on any given day.Anyone who is going to be in the Anderson Valley region should make a stop at the Boonville Hotel Restaurant at some point during their trip. The ingredients are of the finest quality, the cooking is virtually perfect (the risotto, which was a bit watery, was the only dish that wasn't perfect), the service is superb, and the wine selection is outstanding (with great prices). This location, in which I spent the weekend, is filled to the brim with fantastic features and characteristics; in fact, I nearly don't know where to begin describing them all! There are several breathtaking gardens and open areas sprinkled around, each of which was created to work in harmony with a certain ambiance. The vacation home that we stayed in was really gorgeous. It seemed like we were living in a dream, and the bed was quite cozy. A highlight of the stay was the delectable breakfast that was provided to the room each morning.

This place is great. Remodeled rooms, delightful patio and yard and garden. Fresh scones, granola, yogurt, hard boiled eggs for breakfast. Peaches. My only complaint is that the shower comes straight down if you don’t want to wash your hair and that the check-in person did not give me the brochure showing the internet password. It was hidden in the corner of the room but I did not find it until the morning. Also slight miscommunication about rates for a room with and without air conditioning. They worked it out when we checked out.Very nice stay.

Sooo good. The best meal we had on our trip from the Bay area up to the north coast. They served a four course fixed price menu that came to about $220 including wine and tips for two people. The menu changes daily, call ahead if you want to know what you will be eating. We enjoyed every dish and the service was warm and attentive. Highlight was the duck confit, just perfectly prepared. We visited on a Monday and the kitchen was not too busy. Reservations definitely recommended. If you find yourself near the Anderson Valley, this is a must go place

We did not stay at the Hotel but dined at the Restaurant. The food was excellent but service was a little rushed. The context was that we were requested to move up our reservation from 7:30 to 6:30 since they had no other bookings after 6:15. So unfortunately, it was evident that for our first few courses, they were trying to "catch us up." This resulted in some tense moments. In the end we were the last ones in the establishment and ended the evening on a relatively pleasant tone.

We had the prix fixe dinner for quite a bit of money. It was expensive and awful. The staff was polite but poorly trained about how to serve and present. The first course, raw oysters, were good, but subsequent courses involved poor preparation (overcooked meat and inedible skin on slices of eggplant) or concept (strong flavors that did not go together), and sometimes-poor quality ingredients (a bad peach as the central ingredient). We currently are across the street eating a hamburger after leaving before dessert.

11/5/2018Advice: do not stay in room #6 until they rebuild the leaking shower. Our visit was one of extremes. We enjoyed the restaurant Table 128 food and the continental breakfast with fresh scones and good coffee, as well as the landscaped gardens and cats on premise. Staff was nice. The rooms are also very cute. However, we had a negative experience with the overdue maintenance in the bathroom and even worse reaction to the Owner Johnny's ambivalence about our feedback. Our tiled shower was covered with long-term mildew growth on all sides of the shower, with leaks into the bathroom as well and rotten wood most certainly behind all the tile. The fabric shower curtain was covered with black mildew as well up 12" from the bottom and even higher. When I pointed out the situation to the owner, he said it was only "my opinion" that the mildew or mold was an issue. He does not believe in plastic shower curtains, which is fine, but let's hope he rebuilds this leaky shower with a glass door instead of woven cloth alone for the sake of cleanliness. The owner did comp the room for us, which we did not request. We would have been happy with just a percentage mark-down, if he had only acknowledged the need for repairs. Our observation was that he was more interested in building yet more rooms for more revenue, than taking care of the existing rooms. See photos of some of the issues to see for yourself.

We had a lovely stay at the Boonville Hotel during our anniversary trip. We stayed in the Bungalow, which offered a screened in room with a small bed, a queen bed in the main room, and a nice, deep soaking tub. The garden outside was gorgeous and provided some of the ingredients for our breakfast. The staff was very welcoming, and we enjoyed the comfortable and eclectic vibe of the main hotel. I recommend grabbing a cup of coffee in the morning and spending time sitting by the garden. I had fun playing with one of the cats that lives on the property, too. Would definitely stay again!

The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. The rooms are simple and elegantly comfortable. The food is delicious. The staff are the perfect balance of courteous and friendly. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming - perfect for a romantic getaway and/or shmoozing with friends. Plus, the Hotel is very supportive of the local community. In the past few months they have hosted fundraising events for the Foodshed and the local Food Bank; there are probably other organizations, too, that In not aware of. In short, come visit our lovely Anderson Valley, relax and enjoy, knowing that this gem is at the heart of the community.

Having dined at many Michelin starred restaurants, the dishes and service here are better than 90% of the 2 star designations. Wonderful staff, well curated wine list and the tasting menu is superbly executed with beautiful local ingredients.

Very lovely bed and breakfast place. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the whole place is just so cute. You can walk to several places in boonville, and it's a mile from Anderson valley brewing, so you can walk if you want to. We went in the beginning of January and the staff was very friendly and accommodating, and even though we showed up in the middle of the off season the whole place was clean, warm and comfortable without that musty dusty feeling some older buildings get. Highly recommended, and we will be returning!

Disappointing experience and outrageously priced. Our server was not trained in fine dining made many mistakes throughout the night. The food was just ok but not with the the $86pp pre fix. 20% included gratuity for poor service was salt in the wound. Will never return.

Great place! 3rd time here.I would like to recommend providing ear plugs and/or white noise machines in the rooms? The noise from the logging trucks all night and morning makes sleep a challenge.Fwiw. We stayed in the main building—Room #6. Room 6 smells moldy.
