Whatever issue you're having with your dog, David will give you an informative consultation that'll allow you to choose what's best for you and your pup. For some, the cost may seem high at first, but when you look at the ROI on the training and guidance they provide, trust me when I say it's worth every penny.Atlas is new to our household, and my boys recently started getting into some pretty big and violent scuffles. I knew I needed help. I contacted Performance K9 Training as they helped me train Apollo 4yrs ago and did a great job. David did our consultation and recommended Atlas do Basic Obedience 2 wk board and train program, and Apollo have several follow-up lessons as well, since I was slacking on holding him accountable. We are doing ongoing training, using their tools, and remaining consistent. It's only been a couple of weeks, but let me tell you, it has been a HUGE game changer. No more battles of the biggest and baddest in my house. Whew!! I am so grateful for Performance K9 Training and look forward to continuing to learn more skills from them so I can have a happy and healthy relationship with my boys.

I took my nearly 2 year old lab here, who got kicked out of her doggy day camp for separation anxiety and behavior issues, and had amazing success. My dog was not only successfully trained on all the promises they made, I was thoroughly updated on the progress along the way. On top of that, as evident by the photos and videos of my dog, she was always as happy as can be. I was genuinely impressed with the success of the 2 week program, and would never hesitate to do it again as well as board my dog here.

We took our one and a half year old German Shepard mix, Luna, to Performance K9 shortly after we adopted her. From our initial phone call with Kayla to meeting the trainer, David, the entire experience was enjoyable. While our dog was there for the two weeks we received photo updates of her progress and a video of what she had learned the day before we picked her up. In just two short weeks they taught our dog all of the necessary commands and manners for her to be able to live her best life and it also greatly reduced the stress in the home and on walks of having a dog not listen. Getting your dog trained here is definitely worth every penny.

I came here last year and it was great! My dogs were happy here. They were trained. I have been trying to correct them when we go on walks. One of my dogs is perfect. The other one I do correct with the collar but I know I have to keep at it. David is great. It is about the dog parent continuing the work he did. Hope to have them board soon while we go on vacation. I feel like I can only trust David and his team.

We had our consultation with David today and he took his time with us and was very attentive to us and Bandit our 9 month old Australian Cattel Dog. We were amazed at how clean the training center was and how well behaved the other dogs that were there as we took the tour. We signed up right on the spot for their 2 week training to have him help us get Bandit on the right track and to make him a better dog and help us be better owners too. David and his staff performed a miracle with our Belgian Malinois. Prior to her thorough educational stay, she was umbilical cord methoded to one of us in the house due to Luna hijinks: grabbing shoes, hats, etc. while tearing joyfully up and down the house playing keep away. Walks at the park would be riddled with tense moments when any sized dog would bring up her hackles or my arm being pulled out of its socket when she spotted a squirrel. She has returned transformed...thought they switched dogs on us! My son is now teaching the entire family what he learned in his first lesson and we can't wait to learn more!!!UPDATE: We have completed 7 of our follow up sessions and we are excited to learn more; crafting a healthy and loving forever relationship with our pup!

Our sweet boy is 2 years old, and we failed at training him. We sent him to the 2-week residential training. I was so worried he wouldn’t be his happy self. But he’s happy and well-trained. He knows the commands, and does what’s asked of him. We can have company over without him jumping on them. He comes when he’s called. He goes to his “place” when asked. We are super happy with K-9 Performance, David, and his amazing staff, including Josh!! I highly recommend them! If your dog is a pain, and you are a training failure, do it! Well worth the time and money!

I don't know where to start. But it's been hell. Please READ!I took my two dogs here in hopes in getting them trained so they did a 3 week boarding training program that costed a fortune, and when I got them back yes they were behaved because of the shocking collard. But 3 days later one of them started showing some coughing symptoms that didn't get any better it only got worse and worse I obviously took him to the vet and they said it was kennel cough so they prescribed him antibiotics. A long cycle like 10 days. And the symptoms didn't go away until like 5 weeks I has a coughing beautiful poor dog suffering the poor fella he was very much suffering and coughing specially in the mornings! And as soon as his cough started to subside at about week 5 my second dog started to show symptoms so now guess what!? Another 6+ ( still ongoing) WEEKS of suffering and I MEAN IT! because you have to watch and hear your beautiful dog who just came back from training and who is well behaved SUFFER and it's very very sad and tiring.So here is the thing!! My first dog got better and got cured. BUT my second one is STILL SICK GUYS!!!!! IT'S BEEN OVER 3 MONTHS SINCE HE GOT SICK!! So he got really worse to the point that one day he fainted!!!!!!! collapsed on my feet!!!!!! So I rushed him to the ER ($1.500) and got him x-rays and checked up and he is showing all his vitals OK but its weird because he is extremely sick right!?? So then the doctors calls me and says he has a mild case of PNEUMONIA and prescribed him like 2 weeks of antibiotics AGAIN and guess what? He finished his cycle and STILL IS COUGHING!!! So at this point I don't know what's going to happen but I am really worried and scared.PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE UNLESS HE HAS KENNEL COUGH SHOTS AND YOU ARE WILLING TO GO THROUGH THIS HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! BE AWARE! IT TOOK ME THIS LONG TO THINK ABOUT WRITING THIS BECAUSE I DID LIKE THE FACILITY AND DAVID BUT AFTER THINKING ABOUT IT FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL OTHER DOGS I JUST HAS TO WRITE THIS. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE. RUINED MY SUMMER TO SAY THE LEAST.

Performance K9 trained our dog last year, what a night and day difference :-) we are so pleased, we went back yesterday not so much for training or extra training it was more for questions, Natalie (our trainer) answered all of them and even gave me a couple little tips for the future, I've always said "that this training was for me as much as the dog" this being my first dog.These guys are worth every penny!

I took my dog Harley here to get trained and had a horrible experience once the dog was returned. It has been next to impossible to get this dog Re trained from this facility. I don’t know exactly what methods they used while the dog attended here but I have now had to re-train him with just positive Re enforcement instead of the pronged collar approach that they used with him. He doesn’t respond to ANY commands that were used while trained here and I spent WAY too much money, time and energy trying to fix the training that was done here. Would never ever recommend this place for a breed such as mine which is a Belgium Malliniose.

After a few years of living with the results of the training and now meeting others that have remorse about going through David's program, I have to say that I regret the time and money invested. I have no doubt that David and Performance K9 are great trainers for protection guard dogs, but to help correct behavior in the family dog, it was not the right choice for me, my family, and my dog. Honestly, my dog Mocha was never the same. Once we got him back, his aggression towards visitors increased, even if I was able to control him with the shock collar. So he became a controllable, but more dangerous animal. Sure, he did as he was trained and would remain at his place when commanded and if that's all I wanted from my dog, then I would've been happy with the results, but my dog was fundamentally changed. I have worked with other trainers and behaviorist since then to find a better balance between obedient guard dog and family pet. For me, the board and train approach is a quick fix that misses a big ingredient of being at your home and around you and your family.However, if you want your dog to be a better, more controllable guard dog, then Performance K9 could be for you. And to their credit, David took our dog back fora few days to work with him more after we had a couple issues right after having him home. And though my personality and David's definitely clashed to begin with, he adjusted after our first training session and became a little more personable in our post boarding training sessions.

We had adopted a pup from a shelter that turned out to be very aggressive, fear aggressive and dominant aggressive. At 5 mos old he was protective of his food and bones and it was not good having a dog you were afraid of. We've always had labs and retrievers and wanted to rescue this time. Having a dog that you couldn't take outside or have in your front yard was totally foreign to me, especially because dogs have always been such a huge part of our lives. When Otis was threatening our little, older dog, that was it. We called the shelter that said they'd take a rescue back no matter what..that turned out to be a lie. So we went through the painstaking process of finding a shelter that would take him. That's when we heard about David at Performance K9. I thank God every day we found him and he did an amazing job with our dog. Otis is now friendly and not aggressive at all. he does what he's told when he's told. Amazing experience and we'll definitely use them when we need boarding too. Saved my dogs life. Thanks David and Team!

We had a super active 4 1/2 month old lab/malamute mix that had already taken over the house, digging everywhere, play biting constantly, jumping on everyone and everything. Not to mention an incredible amount of stress in the family and in the home. After Mocha's 2 week bootcamp, we have our lives back!! She absolutely knows who is boss, listens to commands and immediately reacts to what she has been taught. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you David! We got our boy Rex, a Belgian Malinois, from the humane society. They found him on the freeway with cuts on his neck. They told us he was super energetic and that we would need a harness for him (not useful for a dog like Rex). The first week was fine and then he showed his true colors. He was very reactive to people, cars and other dogs, he’d tear anything he could up and barked all night. We could not get him to behave and we didn’t know the proper tools to utilize. We did research and decided to bring Rex to Performance K9 because we knew they would be able to handle his breed.When we got Rex back he was a completely different dog. He listens, he doesn’t jump on people, there is no barking at night, cars are not an issue, he doesn’t yank us on the leash & he listens to all the commands he was taught. For our one week after appointment all of our questions were answered and we feel very confident in the training we received. Rex deserves the best life and now that he’s trained we can take him everywhere with us, without issues. I am thankful for everyone at Performance K9.
