Best sandwiches, chocolate chip cookies, and year round lunch in Bodega Bay!We worked with Mark and his team to order lunch box catering for our work event, and he knocked it out of the park. He was super willing to accommodate any request we had at a great price. Super friendly, great communicator, and on time! Attaching some photos of our order.. so fresh, and thoughtfully put together. Went in to get some food for lunch. Cashier was handling money and chit-chatting with a local. Cashier ignored me as I stood by the deli counter. After a long wait for their conversation to end, cashier finally asked me what I wanted. Sliced turkey? Ok. With hands fresh from handling filthy money, he opened a bin, grabbed some turkey with his bare hands and slapped it on some paper. "Sorry, I changed my mind." I walked out. Safe food handling really is not very difficult, but in my opinion, it appears too difficult for these storekeepers.

The good...large, fully stocked and clean. Prices reflect the costal elite community.The competition... there are two grocery type stores on the Bodega Bay. Diekmen’s and Pelican Plaza.Pelican Plaza is the better option hands down!Diekmen’s in on Hyw 1 and the parking lot is sketchy, small and downright frighting.Pelican Plaza is slightly off hwy 1 and the parking lot is large and calm.Diekmen’s is highly visible and the prices are outrages even when you account for the coastal elite community.Pelican Plaza is less visible but worth the trouble of looking up. I saw a local leaving Pelican Plaza.Diekmen’s reminds me of a biqala.Pelican Plaza remind me of a rural country store.

Nice selection of groceries and beer, with many local breweries. Prices reflect the fact that you're in a small town on the coast though. Great freshly made sandwiches with lots of meat, probably one of the better deals in the entire store.

Very nice staff who allowed us to use the employee washrooms. So many varieties of snacks and fresh food. My pasta salad was pretty good and my fiance liked his bagel with cream cheese.

The couple that owned the store are fantastically nice, and a few times that I've been there since they have taken ownership I have had nothing but good experiences. However the last time I came through I bought a 12-pack of Coors beer and later notice that I was charged $19 for the 12-pack. I know that that must have been a mistake, because the 12 pack was labeled at something like $14. I tried calling to rectify the situation, but was not able to get in touch with anyone. Otherwise it is a lovely market with a lot to offer and I recommend going there if you are in Bodega Bay.

sandwich was pretty decent, but they took forever to make, and i specifically asked if they beat sandwiches up and if they could, then i wrote it very clearly in the paper, and it came out freezing cold. also groceries are super expensive.

First time trying the sandwiches here. Very very good. The bread was soft and the meat was juicy not dry. I had ham on white my wife had salami on sour dough roll so good, also don't forget the macaroni salad. We will be back. The owners are really nice and answered all our questions.

The cashier acted like I was unwelcome. Bagles + cream cheese were good prices but were untoasted. It seemed like half the store was comprised of drinks, so you have limited snack options.

Great quality local items, deli case is always freshly stocked with hand made salads. Their sandwiches are bomb! Sal, Kelly and Maggie are the best and anyone would be lucky to have them on their team! I love this grocery store and all the stock of much needed items in a small town!!

It's a nice little store I like to stop at on my way to Goat Rock Beach. They do have good deli sandwiches, but I usually get a hot cup of coffee & a homemade cookie. Perfect for a chilly day.

The people who own this restaurant and store are very nice and friendly. We go there on every trip we come. This trip the sandwich we ordered was such a disappointment that I threw it away. It wasn't an accident that they made it this way. It was intentionally made incorrectly. I miss going there

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place!!! It's a Mom-and-Pop owned Deli /Mini Mart that serves the best "home-made" sandwiches in Bodega Bay! Fresh-made bread, local meat and cheeses and all the Fresh Veggies your sandwich can hold! The salads are made fresh daily as well. The soups and stews they offer are scrumptious! From chicken noodle soup and clam chowder to locally grown, grass-fed beef stew! They have a nice selection of local wines, cheeses, and sweets to purchase, as well as locally grown fresh produce, and a nice variety of Pantry Staples.Whenever we come within 20 miles of this place, we always go out of our way to make a stop! Thanks so much for serving quality food at a decent price! Can't wait to come visit again!

This grocery always has pleasant clerks who are very helpful for finding items. For a small space they carry a large variety of items. There is also a deli containing many premade goodies, pies, salads and other items that could make up a picnic.

Such a well stocked little grocery store. Really great selection of cheeses, wines and snacks. We always get one of their delicious sandwiches from the deli and the fabulous seafood salad! Highly recommended!

I like this place. It's a convenience store with a great deli. Don't pass up the sandwiches. At $8.00 (if you want cheese and pickles, list price is $6.50) it's a fair value. They're well packed and made to order. They rival some of the more typical sandwiches shops on the west coast.The staff is kind, make eye contact, and are willing to serve. I'd go here again in a flash.

I FOUND BUGS IN MY POTATO SALAD. THE EMPLOYEES WERE RUDE TO ME AND I AM GOING TO SUE THEM IN SMALL CLAIMS COURT. MY ADVICE, STAY THE HELL AWAY!!
