What an awesome experience! Both my husband and I were beginning riders, and Addy, our guide, helped us feel comfortable while getting the hang of riding. Going through the dunes was beautiful, and then the beach was gorgeous, too! We also ended up having to move our ride to another day due to weather, and Sarahbeth was very flexible and responsive in getting another time figured out. 100% would recommend!

This place is Magical!!!! Staff are amazing !! Horses are very well kept and with great manners lol !!! It was 5 years ago when I first took my first beach ride with Horse n Around!!! The views were incredible!!! And it took my mind and heart away from my busy stressful life!!! So I made a decision I became a regular and have never left….. I’m still riding at Horse n Around!!!! Every chance I get!!! Think I might have found my happy place??????

In July 2020 we were lucky to be about to go for a beautiful trail ride! We rode CJ, Shorty, and Kahlua! We had the greatest ride with a great guide and even got to see some cows. We definitely would love to come back some day.

My husband and I decided to try the beach ride today at Horse N Around Trails and they did not disappoint! What an amazing experience , we’ll definitely be back for another ride. The horses are super friendly and our guide, Hannah, was amazing. She was kind, very professional and made sure we were comfortable with the horses throughout the journey along the beach! Highly recommend this place 😊🙌

If you haven’t been to Horse N Around Trail Rides, you’re missing out on something special. Our guide, Shirley, was phenomenal, and the horses, Chief and Victor, had great personalities and were a lot of fun. Booking online was fast and easy, and the next day I received a confirmation with detailed information, pictures, and a link to directions that led directly to the check-in location. All staff members were professional and very personable. It was a great experience, and I will definitely go back!

Shirley took us on the best dune ride! Pickles and Chief where our horses and they were great! It was a beautiful day, sunny with a light breeze and we both had the greatest time. Highly recommend this place!

Stop right here! THIS is the place! Shirley was our friendly guide that ensured we all had a breathtaking 90 minute ride. The reservations were easy to make and directions to location good. This was not a cookie cutter “nose to butt” ride. Shirley paired us with great horses and spent time making sure we had a fabulous ride. Ride on the beach? Yes please! And, leave a tip!

Addie was our guide, Wrangler and Dante were our trusty steeds, and we had the best time ever. We enjoyed a private ride through the dunes and some full gallops on the beach.Addie was so nice and enjoyable to share that time with. She intuitively knew when to be part of the conversation and when to allow us some distance so we could take in the entire experience as a couple.Addie - thank you! Hope Bonita, Squid, Wrangler and Dante are doing great.I’d love to do this again. After a couple more back massages. Also any advice on how to go fast without damaging the unmentionables would be greatly appreciated!!!!Horse N Around - Highest recommendations

Had the best time on the beach trail celebrating my friends birthday. The ocean is my happily place and the views did not disappoint. It was very peaceful. The staff are amazing and very friendly. My horse was amazing. If I ever go back I would love to ride victor again. Victor and I have the same spirit.

I wish I could give MORE stars!! Horse N Around Trail Rides was professional, responsive, and flexible; they truly care about their horses and their customers and want to make sure EVERYONE has a great time! Not all barns employ that same approach, but I sure wish they did.What a fantastic spot- our group rode in late March and while the dunes were windy, it was spectacular! Our guide, Addy, was accommodating and made sure we had a BLAST while also keeping us and the horses safe! Elmer was able to pack around a larger rider, which isn’t feasible everywhere; we so appreciated the opportunity! 😊The dunes are one of the most gorgeous landscapes I’ve ever seen, can’t recommend that ride highly enough. If you have the opportunity to spend an afternoon here, DO SO!!Truly a magical day- thank you so much for making my Bucket List dream of riding down the beach a reality!!

I went on the Cheney Creek Trail with Amber while visiting Bodega Bay. The ride was fantastic ( my horse was Sugar!) Got to see the beautiful ranch while traversing gentle rolling hills. Amber is a knowledgeable and skilled horse woman which made for a great ride!I highly recommend Horse n Around for riding in Bodega Bay.

Even with no reservations, Hannah, one of our trail guides, was able to get us a beautiful 90- minute beach ride for our anniversary. They were very friendly and accommodating and and the trail was beautiful! It was my husband's very first time riding a horse and he loved it!

My granddaughter went on the beach ride. She said the trip was terrific. She rode skeeter and the horse was great. There were a total of 8 riders in her group, with riding skills from beginner to very experienced. She had a great time and can't wait to go back and ride again. Caroline the guide was a jewel to go riding with.

Best day ever with Horse N Around Trail Rides! Everyone was super sweet, the horses were all very well behaved, and the beach trail was so serene! I weigh 300lbs so wasn’t sure I’d be able to ride but they matched me up with Luke, a Belgian Quarter Horse cross. Luke was a trooper!!! I can’t wait to go back to this place with friends and family (went alone today).

Loved this ocean beach ride!! I own two horses if my own, and ride often but wanted to go on a beach ride. My freind and I had such a great day!. The horses were beautiful and well taken care of. The guides were very freindly and helpful. Highly recomend this to anyone who loves outdoors and beautiful scenery!!

Can’t express how great Horse N Around was!! I wanted to go horseback riding with some friends for my birthday but didn’t know where to go (we were driving up from SF) and stumbled upon Horse N Around. Prior to our ride, they were very detailed and called to confirm our reservation and answer any questions. We chose the Dunes Ride which I highly recommend, the scenery is unbelievable! We were all beginner riders but that was not an issue at all. Our guide, Shirley, was great!! She was attentive and friendly and made sure to stop multiple times for pictures, answer questions, etc. Overall we had such a great experience and I will be recommending to everyone! Thanks again for making my birthday special!

I’ve gone on two trail rides with this company and highly recommend. Horses are well cared for and seem happy. I am around horses often but have very basic riding experience (I know I sit like a bag of potatoes and neither guide made me feel bad about it) they offered help when needed and didn’t pressure me to talk. I have really high anxiety issues with people so I went for a private ride vs with a group and it made me so much more comfortable. I believe my guides name this last time was Shirley, she was great and was patient with me. I believe the owner was who checked me in at the office and she was also really nice, the ride was absolutely beautiful along the ocean.

Was the best first fishing trip with my son Jayson. He caught the first trout within 20 seconds of casting his line in the water. He caught 6 trout in 2 hours of being there. And I (dad) caught 3 trout. All but 1 were 10 inches. I do recommend this place for the family.

Really a great location for horseback riding! We had Addie as our guide on the 90 minute Homestead Trail. I rode The Judge, and my granddaughter rode Kahlua. Great horses, great ride.

I was not happy with how the horses were treated. My horse almost fell forward from exhaustion while walking in the sand. I think the horse I was on should’ve been retired or at least left on solid ground with small riders like kids.

Ride was fun. Kate was an amazing guide. Willy is the best horse. Good for kids, my daughter is 7 and petite but she had a blast and her horse was so good.

Amazing scenes, truly! I loved the times I went out there, and it was a truly magical experience. Reasonable staff and good safety. However.. their horses are not treated well. They're WAY overworked, and not taken care of how they should be. Their customer support is extremely slow, which I understand is due to being a busy stable.. however, it seriously needs to be worked on. As much as I love the scenes in this place, I won't support it for how their horses are being cared for.

We ran into these guys at the pumpkin patch. The kids were so excited and there was a lot going on. I just want to say the attitude of the lady in charge was very off putting. She was very rude and snappy at everyone for no reason. It wasn't what she said but how she said it. Maybe try speaking kind to your customers and they would want to return. The other ladies helping were very sweet especially to the kids

Jaime and I had an incredible time today. We got rained out yesterday and Shirley was able to fit us in today. We showed up early and she had the horses ready to go. The ride on the beach was breathtaking and the colors of the Succulents in the sand were stunning this time of year! My horse Honey was awesome and easy to handle.Shirley took a few pictures for us. She was awesome! Definitely glad we booked this during our trip!
