I suspected this place was a total tourist trap when I walked in with all of the "merch," and the food was right on point with my skepticism. The markup for bottled beverages in their reach-in cooler is bonkers. $4.99 for a can of soda?Clam chowder was watery and bland, and had almost no clams in it. Seriously one of the saddest bowls of chowder I've had on any coast. The skimpy portion of fries was soggy and fried in dirty oil, and the fish had absolutely no taste whatsoever. Drowning it in chipotle mayo couldn't save it from its lackluster fate. The only upside here was the selection of local beers on tap.So $40 later (a pint, fish&chips, and a small cup of chowder is what this gets you), I feel like one could do a lot better for their money in this area after looking at menu prices for some of the other spots. Fortunately for this outfit, most of the other local fish and oyster spots are closed at 5PM on a Tuesday, so they'll gladly soak up the dinner crowd ready to overpay for mid seafood.

While exploring San Francisco for the first time, we rented a car and drove about an hour north to explore the coast.We stopped at a local oyster place in search of delicious oysters and we found them!We ordered the garlic butter grilled oysters along with fresh oysters as well.We loved that there were picnic tables outside right along side of the water. There were seals playing in the water, they were adorable to watch.We did some bird watching and found a couple different egrets.We got some of the Maui wowie sauce on the side, along with cocktail sauce and horseradish.You just try the oysters with the Maui wowie sauce. We didn’t get the baked ones this time but our next visit on the home we did.It’s a sweet chili base sauce and it’s delicious paired with the oysters baked or raw.Everything was what we hoped it was, amazing. Definitely a must stop when we’re in the area.

Come here you won’t regret it! We were visiting from SF for the night, looking for dinner. Didn’t want to waist our time on overpriced mediocre seafood and luckily we didn’t. The food was delicious, fresh and local. Service was friendly and efficient. Outdoor seating with heat lamps as well as indoor for groups of 2.Ahi tuna sandwich was fresh and the slaw was zesty. Sweet potato fries were sweet salty and crunchy. Regular fries were soft on the inside and crispy on the outside, paired perfect with their vinegary ketchup. Fish tacos were tangy, you get a quarter of an avocado, and went perfect with the local hot sauce! (We bought a bottle). Calamari had a nice light flavorful batter, not tough. Left full and happy, what more could you want!

Our go-to spot when in Bodega Bay! Love their grilled oyster with garlic butter and fresh oysters. Clam chowder is a must with some fish tacos. Great service and eating seafood by the water are always great. Don't forget to get dessert-tiramisu! Order the whole menu!Kid-friendliness: Kids menu and atmosphere is kid friendly

We come to Bodega several times a year and always eat out at least once each trip. A local recommended the Fishetarian and we're so glad she did! I had the fish tacos, fried and my friend had fried fish and calamari combo. Both were amazing!! Seasoned well, so fresh and huge portions!! This will definitely go on our places to go again and again!! Highly recommend this place!!!

Really nice seafood. We Got the prawn tacos, fish and chips, chowder and churros:Prawn tacos were so yummy. Fish and chips were okay. Clam chowder was very fresh and tasty. I liked the churros with the caramel sauce but the churros on their own didn’t taste very authentic if you’re really into churros but it was a good snack.They also have a lot of desserts to choose from but didn’t get any.

It was a 5 stars for sure. The grilled oyster with garlic was amazing. Definitely something to try even if you don’t eat oyster. The fish and chips for kids WS decent size, the crab cake was good. I would probably go for the crab sandwich was on a next occasion hopefully. There’s more to try on the menu but what I got was fresh and delicious. We went early so was easy to get a table. We are outside which was fun and the music was good… they are playing reggae music. 4 meals and my total + tip was +$80

Oysters are so fresh! I regret not getting more of the fresh oysters. The clam chowder was very good and chunky, which I really liked. The fried fish and calamari were just ok. I wish it was beer battered instead of panko but I can tell the fish was fresh. The adult grilled cheese was delicious but a little overpriced for some white bread, cheese and fig jam. Next time I would just get a dozen raw oysters to myself and a bowl of chowder.

An amazing casual place to have lunch and enjoy the classic ocean experience lunch! We had the 3piece fish & chips, a bowl of clam chowder and two classic bottled drinks, Strawberry & Diet Blackberry. The Fish was hot, crispy, great portion. The soup was flavorful, with a good amount of crab and fresh chopped vegetables with the perfect seasoning. They had little bags of oyster crackers, which you don't see very often anymore, and different condiments to choose from. seating was your choice of huge wooden picnic tables out front or closer to the water, and a few tables inside.Highly recommend!

This fish market has been around for many years and not many last this long if one doesn't have something good going. The clam chowder soup is delicious, their service is fast , the food is fresh, like their Crab sandwich, Oysters, Fish and more, served with a big friendly smile.Large selection of beverages.The location has great water views, the ride their is very pleasant. Highly recommended.

Open till sundown, hoodies are actually pretty nice and plenty of parking still.Line order starts on the left side.The Russian river Pliny IPA is on tap and the CO2 is *well regulated.We had the prawns and an order of clam chowder.The sunsets are what most people take pictures of, but there's lots of cool stuff around.ATM/ credit cards acceptedI think my only request would be to have more hand washing stations available for the general public. There's at least two bathrooms I know of, but a simple outdoor hand washing station would be a very good addition

You order from a kiosk or at the inside counter. We ordered from the kiosk outside. We ordered fish tacos, garlic butter oysters, clam chowder and kids grilled cheese with 3 drinks. Flavor was amazing and the ambiance was perfect. We opted to eat on the picnic tables right next to the beach/cove area during sunset. It was amazing! Bring a sweater cuz it was a bit chilly but awesome nonetheless. They don’t serve you, you pick up your food after being called. Overall great place.Parking: Plenty of free parking but it fills up fast.

Wow!! What a great seafood place. I highly recommend this place. Their clam chowder is delicious. Fish was fresh & perfect. We just wanted fish, not chips. No problem. They need a better bread for their bowl. You couldn't really taste the sourdough. My son in law had the calamari & fish. He loved it. 5 stars 🌟Parking: Go early. Fishetarian opens 10:30am. We got there 9:45. Easy parking. By the time the place opened, not so easy. When we left about 12:30, it was packed, cars double parking.

Great menu, even if there’s a line it moves fast, the kitchen is working real hard making sure orders are going out fast, their kale coleslaw is delicious.I think a lot if not all the seafood is locally sourced.The tables outside are pet friendlyParking: Parking is free, beware of busy hour when parking becomes limited but a little patience goes a long way.

First time here. Service was great, very helpful in helping to decide what to order. Food that I ordered was ok, nothing I'm dying to have again. We got the fish and prawns with sweet potato fries. Some fish tacos, we also hot a lemon tart, not that great. Got a beer, was ok. Next time, we'll have to try something else. Check out my pics on here.

They have gluten-free options! This is huge. I don't know the last time I had fish & chips. I was giddy.The downside is some of the pricing. The tiniest lil container of ice cream for close to $5. Had we known the actual size we would've passed. Thankfully the ice cream was really good.All in all I'm still super glad we went & I'll go again because the gluten-free options are amazing! (Sorry I didn't think to take a pic before I started eating.)

Such a cool place. Everything was very fresh and very good. We sat outside in their heated tent and ordered a ton of food. We got fish tacos, oysters, grilled cheese, slaw, chowder, fries and drinks. Everything was amazing. I wanna go back and eat again today. Great view, on the water and everything was amazing.Vegetarian options: Pretty much everything is seafood, so I suppose that's vegetarian.Wheelchair accessibility: Unfortunately this place wouldn't be easily traversed by someone in a wheel chair. But a disabled person could easily get to the heated tent and have the food brought to them.

It's a very busy spot but the fish and chips were not the best imo. The breading was very thick and bland and the fish tasted dry. It was also a very thick piece of fish. We got the ahi tuna sandwich and it was okay. Overall we were full but not satisfied. Staff were friendly and there is a nice outdoor eating area.
