Cute little candy store with lots of wind powered decorations and kites. This is a great place to get a gift or satisfy your sweet tooth. We walked over after eating at the Bird’s Café. Everything is reasonably priced and there’s lots of unique items many of which I’ve never seen before

I could not resist stopping at this store with such a colorful outside display. They have a great selection of sport and single line kites, flags, windsocks and taffy. I really enjoyed myself. Fun store.

We won two of the most wonderful kites from Candy and Kites that they donated to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The kites are wonderful but their generosity is amazing. Thank you ❤️

This store is awesome. So many kites, lawn decorations and candy! The owner is very friendly and very knowledgeable. He can answer any questions about kites or give you advice on how to fly a kite. I got my first trick kite here.

I love this place! We always stop here and buy something every time we are headed to the ocean. They have great souvenirs and awesome kites.I always forget to take pictures when we are up there but I will post pictures next time we are there

Great stop for candy, kites, whirligigs, or other local baubles.The owner is very knowledgeable when it comes to the many styles and varieties of kites offered. He'll book you up based on your skill, interest, and budget.For me, saltwater-tafy alone is worth the stop.

Be sure to stop: Candy/Kites is Mecca for anyone /any age interested in flying a kite. Wonderful selection and variety. Every one got exactly what they wanted. The four Grands got kites, Dad got one, too - Mom got darling garden decor. Loved chatting with the owner- she was delightful! Very smart and helpful. There is a good reason this place is packed - It is terrific.

Wanted to try some of taffy and salted pbcup . Was celebrating my 50+ bday. Walked inside the shop expecting the vibe to be welcoming and inviting. To my shocking disappointment the owner and his wife intentionally ignored me and my mate. Thinking to myself it was an oversight I lingered a bit longer while we looked around. I then heard not one but two Jovial greetings to two other sets of folks and a fairtheewell!Now needless to say these folks were of a different ethnic background than me and my sweetie. I thought surely this guy is kidding!The owner and wife made it very apparent that he and I were not welcomed. Miguel asked if I was getting anything? I said looking at the male owner " no I'm good "The guy never looked up from what he was doing as if he was an extra in the movie " Bird Box" and would not look upon our faces. Weird.The wife mean mugged me as I was coming out and she was gathering the windmills from outside the shop.Welp with this newfound info,I took my green money and my Afro-American brown behind out of thier store!Miguel said as we were leaving"they didn't tell us to have a good day!"I contacted my daughter and told her to leave a review of my encounter.This establishment has the gumption and nerve to post on its site about Being Nice Too You.It should put in bold print UNLESS YOU ARE BLACK!OK I'm done

Cute little shop on Highway 1 in Bodega Bay. They have candy, kites, toys and many other items. Definitely worth a stop. Right next door the The Birds Cafe.

The best shop in town to enjoy browsing and show your support. I've been coming here since I was a kid, nearly every fall for the last 40+ years, and now taking my daughter to experience the candy and kites tradition. You can't leave without some saltwater taffy, and their chocolates are amazing!

This is such a cute place! They have this collection of books, candy, kites and toys for kids that would have taken the owners a lot of time and effort to curate. Only had a few mins as I had to pick up Pizza or my purchase would have been a lot bigger… Loved this shop and hope to be back soon.

It's been a staple in Bodegea bay. Their hours can be a tad weird on the weekdays, otherwise a good store.Parking is to the right or across the street.They have a huge selection of decorative flags and kites.The taffy selection is pretty adequate. Not huge but not small.Little knick knacks all about.I'd recommend for a quick look.

Despite the owners not being there; customer service didn't take the day off. We were able to ask questions about the style of kite we purchased and we were given tips and tricks on how to avoid crashes.It's a small shop but they have a neat yard with yard art. COVID precautions were followed and the visit was enjoyable.Prices were actually less than some on Amazon so even though it's a small shop in a small town, you can still find a deal. Avoid super stores on the drive out and pick up a flyer while on the coast for that extra memory.

Very cute store specialized in kites and wind ornaments. They were very helpful in leading us to the right kite for our limited experience and what we wanted to achieve that day (just have a bit of fun flying a simple kite) they offer supplies for every level of kite aficionados.The candy is good and they also have buckets and shovels for kids to play with at the beach.

Don't pass this shop up! It is bigger then it looks with a large selection of kites, candy, toys for kids, and garden sculptures. Park behind the store in a little parking lot next to The Birds restaurant. (Also, get lunch there!) We enjoyed the friendly service and look forward to returning.

If you like old school candies and kites/wind decorations, it's probably worth checking out, but it was ridiculously crowded when I was there. The store seems like it's only meant to have four or five customers in it at a time. Also, there's hardly any serious competition nearby, and the prices reflect that. That said, there is a wide variety of cool decorations.

We always stop by the Candy & Kites store whenever we are in the Bodega Bay area. They have such adorable and unique gifts. We never leave without getting a few sea salt caramels!! The owners are so friendly and easy going. This is a MUST SEE!!!

Purchased two kites for our kids to enjoy on the beach. One popes a seam, but Candy & Kites exchanged it without any problem. We enjoyed the rest of our vacation with more trouble-free kite flying. Great selection and excellent customer service.

I fell in love with this super cute tiny shop. We came here to get a kite for my daughter. The owners were super sweet. We were overwhelm with the kite selection and thankfully the owner suggested one for my daughter. She was over the clouds with her kite.The have lots of knick knacks in this shop.Check them out.
