My family enjoyed the restaurant while I watched our dog and browsed the Phoenix shop and enjoyed the view. The shop had such cute items including stationary, books, clothing, and housewares. Very dog friendly, the people who worked there were super friendly and gave my dog a treat 🐾

A very unique and beautiful gift shop with art, sculptures, clothing, books and a lot more. I absolutely loved the outdoor section with wind chimes and views of the ocean. A must visit when you are at Nepenthe.

Beautiful spot for a gift shop and restaurant right off the highway. Extremely busy spot with limited area for parking. Beautiful local artisan items and unique finds to that area but extremely high priced. If you don’t go for the buys, go for the view!!

Phoenix Shop is a high end gift shop in Big Sur, featuring handicraft, clothing, books and a variety of souvenirs. There are many beautiful things in here, a bit pricy but it is free to look. And you might find something you really want. Located close to the Nephente restaurant, a popular spot for viewing the sunset.

This is literally the best gift store ever. You must shop here. Downstairs there are clothes. Beautiful dresses.. silk... embroidered.. upstairs there are books, jewelry, lotions, perfume, all sorts of things. We spent s lot of time here.

A quirky little gem of a shop. Fantastic views and fun goods. We are still using a pillow we purchased here the summer of 2012. In fact, it’s now my “ergonomic” back rest for my COVID19, work-from-home office chair. A wonderful token and memory from my Highway 1 road trip with my wife.

Love, love this shop! Maybe pricey but such unique items, quirky gifts, great books and cards, and, oh my! I always a pair of delightful earrings. Wonderful clerks there: so helpful and chatty. So glad we only go twice a year or I would be out of money.

"Gift shop" almost feels an inappropriate word to use here as this is truly a carefully curated, beautiful shop of artwork, clothing, jewelry, fabric, etc.

We only had an opportunity for a short pitstop. The place was incredibly busy so it definitely took away from the calming experience. It felt like the Hungry Bear restaurant on a busy day at Disneyland. Parking is tough if its busy. Worth a stop to explore on a quiet day

I went there April 2015 as I came down with my family from Yosemite. Besides been the most assorted gift shop with a variety of "hard to find" items, it has a very exquisite view to the Pacific. A must stop if you plan to cross the "Big Sur".
