They sell wood for camping ground. And the graceful old woman who is the cashier explains us really well. I am so thankful to her because we were the first time camping. The woods and ice were so long-lasting. Thanks a lot.

If you live in Big Bear or anywhere else the best place to shop is always stater bros. It's inexpensive, the deli, and the butcher you can get anything you want and everything is the freshest around. They never are out of stock for anything. I love their fresh cut fruit too and veggies and perfect. The staff is always friendly and helpful.I used to work at a market when I was younger so it's nice that they still run things the way they used to.

This was the first time I visited this place. Needed vegetarian food items during our visit. Their deli bar had plat-based chicken pasta! And it was delicious. They also had things like creamy almond milk, sugar-free bakery, Just Eggs, Impossible burger and other plant meats. The cashier was very nice too.

Was a disappointment coming here because the deli no longer does custom sandwiches and only has the premade half soggy sandwhiches.... this was the only reason i came here vs getting groceries at Vons across the street, and the potatoe wedges had like burnt plastic taste/smell to them which was probly a problem with their oven or something.Ended up going to Vons across the street for the rest of our trip for groceries.Highly disappointed though about them not doing custom sandwiches anymore as they were super good and priced decently 😕The sign on the left of the building says full service also which is no longer true and is basically misleading advertising in my opinion.

I've been shopping at this store for the longest time and will continue till I'm 6 feet under. I pretty much know where everything is that's on my shopping list so basically I'm straight in and out. The staff and check out employees are super friendly and you can make good conversation with them the time your groceries are being swiped. I've seen staff members get all dressed up for Saint Patrick's day, Halloween, not forgetting Christmas just to name a few, which I think is pretty down to earth people. So anyway, the fresh meat products they sell are excellent, I've never had any old or 'off' meat from them at all, the veggies are also fresh and not a blemish on the fresh fruit either. They fry their own chicken which in my opinion tastes like that chicken that was fried in Kentucky ya know!! There's huge sub sandwiches too and at a very reasonable price. I can go on for days about the great fresh food that's made by the staff on the premises especially when it comes to the cakes, omg!! I forget what it's called, but I know what it looks like and it's the bomb!! I've got to eat it in one sitting, I can't eat half of it, stick it in the fridge til later, no way, it ain't happening, I'm eating it til it's gone. The next time I'm in Stater Bro's I'm gonna get a piece of that cake and take a picture of it, if I don't eat it first, and post it so you'll know what I'm drooling over and trust me, it's well worth the price and that's for sure!!I'm giving Stater Bro's in Big Bear a 2 thumbs-up 👍👍.

Don't go on a Sunday, Monday or Tuesday (shelves are empty from weekend visitors)Stay away, if possible Friday night or Saturday night. Other than that, good prices and quality food choices. We love our local Staters!

Holy cow is this place packed! But I have to say there was not a single employee I encountered the couple of times I went that was not super friendly! I appreciate that so much! The prices are a little higher due to location. But overall I did not mind going and dealing with the crowd! Have a good selection too! Do run out of stuff occasionally to be expected with the number of people they get throughout the day!

Well stocked with a wide variety of products.Deli has a great variety of precooked items with fresh sushi packs being made continuously.The meat counter has a great variety of fish and beef as well as numerous other types of meat.

Well..... went in to purchase (2) bottles of juice on 02/18/24 at approximately 10:10pm..... couldn't enter via the south doors as they were locked (store closes at 11pm so it was still business hours)....had to walk over to the north doors (even though I parked near the south doors) to gain entry.... only (2) check stands were open when I entered into line to check out.... the lines were long.... every customer in front of me was/were bagging their purchased groceries (no courtesy clerks in sight or in the area)... with prices as high as they are, we (customers) should NOT have to bag their purchases.... how about scheduling courtesy clerks later Mr. manager.... when I went to exit the store after I paid for my items, I attempted to exit via the south doors and guess what..,. they were closed and locked (fire code violation, fire dept to be notified).... had to utilize the north doors again to exit..... get it together staters.... was a good company until Jack Brown passed away... after that, newbies came in and changed too many things and it's gone downhill .... Vons from now on for my shopping....

Love the selection and prices. Didn't know about the sweet deals they have on there receipts. Seen a new store in town called I♥️BB that carries Alien Fresh Jerky. We always went to Baker to buy it now we get it here when we are in town for the weekend. This store has awesome hats too. We saved 5.00 when we bought 3 bags of Jerky.

First time at Stater Bros. To be honest we love Ralph’s, but there was none. There was a Vons next door but the Stater Bros ads on Hulu just sold us. I must say - I was pleasantly surprised.The grocery chain is very well stocked, as most should be. But their selection of ready-to-go food and bakery products are quite good. Also the discounts on wines are pretty awesome too.The only thing I would change is to have more cashiers. There were at least 20 people in line but only 3 cashiers were open. It took about 20 mins to check out.Other than that, no complaints. Will very likely visit soon again.

Can here to stock up for our family visit to Big Bear. I was very pleasantly surprised on all of the items they had to offer. They have a bakery with a huge selection of pastries. You can even order a custom birthday cake. The seafood and meat market staff are very helpful and try to answer your questions. Huge dairy and beverage selection. Fresh organic produce and huge frozen food area.We will definitely return when we need to restock.

I don’t know why this store is listed under natural food store. Very difficult to find anything remotely natural here. Just a regular supermarket store with all the factory farmed items. Processed foods and plenty chips, soda and sugary snacks.I wish I had realized this before I left the comfort of the sprouts store down the mountains. Live and learn I guess.

We are up here are big bear on vacay. I think we looked like tourist but everyone we encountered at this Stater Bros. Treated us like we were locals. The butcher was very helpful and friendly in addition to the lady cutting up the fresh watermelons. Thank you.

Nice store overall, but "Mister Waxed Mustache Cashier Man" needs to lose his pretentious attitude
