I went to run in 5 min before close to grab a item to finish a job. Would of took me 2 minutes, and they told me they're closed.. unfortunately I have to shop here all the time, high prices, rude managers, lumber is junk. Highly do NOT recommend, if you can go somewhere else you should.

Very rude customer service. They made me feel like i was scamming . i had my recipt n this is wat they said " we r not a tool renting company " i did not argue , i just listen to how they saw no concern for customer service. as i left both managers were outside smoking . very unsatisfied. I went back the next day to speak with the store manager and I cannot believe the customer service this whole store offers they should be audited by the Better Business Bureau

90% of the employees are rude and act as if it's a huge inconvenience to provide assistance. I've lived in Big Bear full time for the past 8 years and try to avoid this store at all costs after many rude encounters. Go to Butchers Block instead. If they don't have what I need, I'll drive down the hill to Apple Valley to avoid DIY.

I love this place. Simply they have a lot of everything I need from day to day. It's a great place to get your cabin supplies too. Barbecue supplies, kitchen/home decor, and TOOLS! The staff are always friendly and quick at the register. The best place to get propane in Big Bear from my experience so far. They always have some it seems. They'll even carry your tanks for you. I go in there while waiting for my laundry and always get something.

Has all of the supplies you need for home projects! They carry a large variety of paints, seeds, plants, kitchen items, and craft supplies. It's also one of the more reasonably priced places up here for gardening essentials. The hubby and I love DIY! (In the picture: marigolds and mint were bought at diy and seeds for the tomatoes and beets were also from diy)

White man with goatee(cashier) was playing “nice” but it was all with sarcasm and a weird smirk. When i VERY CLEARLY reached to get my receipt from his hand, instead he set it down on the counter for me to grab it. This place stinks of RACISM!!! Go to Butchers Hardware instead. Especially if you’re anything other than white. There are so many other reviews about people who felt discriminated and what an absolute coincidence that theyre either hispanic or asian names leaving these reviews of discrimination! RACIST!

Poor poor poor service. I came in here with my daughter to get some camping essentials we needed. I have never felt more uncomfortable and judged in my life. The taller, bearded, cap wearing guy leaning on the register stand gave us the rudest look when I asked where can I find camping equipment. All he did was point and say in a complete unhappy manner "35". This is not helpful, nor what a customer wants to experience. I get we're not locals, but no one should feel out of place or unwelcomed.

For such a big store they have a fairly modest selection of tools. They have a good amount of materials that would be good for a home owner but for a professional contractor I would recommend just to go to Butcher's. I needed some bit drivers but they only carried one brand which was out of stock. Disappointing.

Went to the Big Bear, ca store this morning at 730am...Was told on Friday summer flowers Came in....NOT true..a few trees, bushes, less than 10 trays of sad dying flowers...plus website says they open at 730 on Sat...NOT TRUE, 8AM on Sat. Maybe update your website and get your flower info correct for customers who call and take the time to ask. 10 of us waiting at 730 and only the store sign was correct..bummer going to other competitors who have their spring flowers truly in stock..not cool to misinform folks..hours and inventory falsehoods. Update your hours at least on your Website

Now that the crazy Covid self appointed police are not there anymore, everything is normal again. People let's not be fooled again and don't turn on your fellow people over a mask that our leaders who make the rules don't even follow.

Went to get Sandbags today, after proof of purchase and employees said they had no record, and the person who rang up the purchase no longer works their any more. How is it the customers fault if their is BOTH training and computer error? Didn't bother to look at security camera to see that we didn't walk out with sandbags. So I'm a local now that's down $225 👍

The employees are friendly and helpful! I don't know how we ever lived w/o this place. Garden in Spring(cuz some veggies need a jump start)! Propane! At a good $All the basics. If you want, a salesperson will walk with you to help with everything on your list. My favorite hardware store!

Had a 5 star review and used to come here all the time. Brought in a set of chains that didn't fit to return and was immediately yelled at from across the store by the manager. If your policy is there are no returns, that's fine. Wasn't made clear when I bought them, but fine. I'm still a customer. You could start by telling me before yelling at me in front of the whole store like I'm trying to run some kind of scam by returning something I couldn't use.

I had a bad experience here when I tried to buy some lumber a few months back. The staff were friendly, but the manager was terrible. I rarely call the corporate line, but she was so rude I felt like there was little other choice. The clerk who was helping me said the staff was unhappy with her as well, and after two mins I could understand why. Not a good sign when the staff trashes their boss in front of guests. I will not be back until they change their management, and start treating their employees better. I would recommend a local place like Butcher's Block over a big box store anyways. Just steer clear of this one.

This place is trash I called to ask if they had an item they were too lazy to go and find it, Actually told me that they wouldn't know where I would be able to find it in Big Bear. They had 2 of them. I will not be wasting my time at this place ever again.

Great store, but a real bummer that during the heaviest fly season since the rains, they were out of fly traps. All of the neighbors were complaining about how bad the flies are this Season. Out of stock happens. We get it.

This place is fairly decent, but it's no Home Depot. They have a bunch of things, but are also missing a bunch of items. I don't mean like they sold out, they just don't carry them. The staff is super friendly though, and always willing to help. Some individuals either pretend to know what they're talking about, while others come off as snobby about what they know. Overall, though, everyone does their best.

They have everything. Need something for your toilet? Done. Moving? They got you covered. Everything is low priced (to a degree) and their products are good quality. The customer service is great too. They will help you out if you need help with a smile on their face. They seem like they really enjoy their job.

Clean, bright, organized, well-stocked. Knowledgeable & friendly employees. Prices a little high for some things. Nice big parking lot. Really bad music in the parking lot though. Truly terrible, loud, and non-stop country western music. An assault on the ears. And why is there a big loud clock tower? And why does it chime every half hour, too? Who owns this shopping plaza, and why do they want to make shopping miserable?
