We absolutely loved this place! We were on town for two days, the place we were staying up in Yosemite was a bit of a let down so we ventured down for lunch the and we had the best meal! It was so good we decided to come back for breakfast on the day we were leaving. The staff was so wonderful, the view was amazing and the portions for the prices were great! We were sad to leave the town specificly because we wouldn't be able to eat here again. If we are ever roadtriping up that way we will be planning the drive to stop here again.Parking: Lots of parking options and a nice drive up port to drop people off in the rain.

My visit to Ducey's On the Lake & Ducey's Bar & Grill, just two days after my wedding, turned out to be an unexpectedly delightful part of our post-nuptial celebrations. The restaurant's warm ambiance and breathtaking views provided the perfect setting for this special occasion. The standout of our dining experience was undoubtedly the steak. It was cooked to perfection, juicy, and full of flavor, embodying the premium quality that Ducey's is known for. The attention to detail in both the taste and presentation of the food was impressive, with each dish being well plated and visually appealing. The staff at Ducey's deserves a special mention for their exceptional service. They were not only friendly and efficient but also incredibly thoughtful. They joined in our post-wedding celebration, making our experience even more memorable and personal. This level of service truly went above and beyond our expectations. The restaurant is also commendably family-friendly, offering a kids' menu and well-maintained restrooms. These details contributed to a comfortable and stress-free dining experience for families. The layout of the restaurant is thoughtfully designed, with a downstairs area perfect for families and an upstairs section ideal for those looking for a more lively dining experience. It's worth noting that reservations are recommended during peak seasons, particularly if you're planning to dine for dinner. The view from Ducey's is nothing short of phenomenal, providing a picturesque backdrop to our meal. Whether you're seated inside or outside, the panoramic views of the lake add a serene and scenic element to the dining experience.

Great views of the lake, top-notch service by each and every service person and one of the best food I ever had honestly.. if you’re visiting Yosemite National Park DEFINITELY try this restaurant, you will not regret it. We went in for dinner at almost closing time (luckily they served us) and had the following items:1. Ducey’s special cheeseburger2. Clam Chowder3. Chicken Skewers4. Lobster crab cake5. Creme Brulee

Good food, good coffee and great view. Service is quick, good amount of vegetarian options as well! They can also customize food for you. The vegetables tasted really fresh. The waffles were our brunch highlight.

Food is great! Husband loved the biscuits and gravy! Lemon blueberry pancakes were on point. However the breakfast staff on 10/14/23 were rude and unhelpful! We asked about a dinner reservation, she snapped back you can only do it online!! Then walked away. We went online and made the reservation. NO where did it say upstairs and downstairs were different restaurants with different menus!!! So we made a reservation just to find out it was the bar! It was a huge disappointment to walk in and be in the bar with just burgers on the menu. There is no need to make a reservation in the upstairs bar for a burger 🤦. However the host upstairs talked to Tony and help us out. He got us a table down stairs. It would be a lot less of a headache for the staff and customers if you made the reservation tab online more clear!! State that you have 2 different restaurants with different menus!!!

Our server was excellent & so is the view. A bit of a wait as the ongoing Pandemic has created staffing issues everywhere, even here. We had the Philly Steak sandwich, Fish & Chips & Turkey burger with Sweet Potato fries. All were good

Hearty mountain breakfast: Best corned beef hash and lemon blueberry pancake! Ms. Prudence kept my coffee nice and hot in her pleasant, attentive manner. I will return for more memorable self-care! Thank you!P.S. I returned the next day for a full stack of the lemon blueberry pancakes. Their lemon sauce is magical!

We dined on a couple occasions and the food was so delicious! Great place to enjoy a lovely meal while enjoying the beautiful scenery. The menu for breakfast and lunch is outstanding, many great choices. If you haven’t been out here, you’re missing out. There’s also fun shopping after you have a delicious meal. You won’t be disappointed

The Pines Resort has two restaurants. There is one upstairs called Ducey’s Bar & Grill which has a lakeside balcony and serves more casual lunch and dinner. The one downstairs also with lakeside view is called Ducey’s On the Lake and serves full breakfast, lunch and dinner. We only tried the breakfast. The food was just OK. The coffee was only lukewarm. And the service was slow. Maybe they didn't have enough staff on a weekday morning. But the view overlooking the lake was gorgeous.

My friends were visiting from out of town, so I decided to take them for a hike at Bass Lake to get out of the warm Valley. We hiked and then headed to the lake for some lunch. It was Memorial Day weekend, so I expected it to be busy just about everywhere. I had read good things about Ducey's, and read they have great lake views, so we went there. The downstairs was closed for lunch, so we headed up the stairs. There is an elevator available for those who need it..We were quoted an hour wait for the outside patio, so we opted for an indoor table. We were sat a bit far from the lake view, a table opened up before we got our food, so we asked if we could move, they allowed us to. That was really nice, I know it messes up the order of the table numbers, etc, so I truly appreciate them allowing us to move. The dining experience was so much nicer with a good lake view..They were busy, so service was slower than it normally is at most restaurants, food took awhile, but not overly long. We had beers to hold us over, they carry draft, bottled beer and some is local. They have a full bar as well. I'm vegan and so I got a black bean and quinoa burger which I think they made in house. I can't fully judge their food, since a vegan burger isn't their specialty, the burger was bland, not much flavor. If I were vegetarian and got the garlic aioli on it that is normally comes with, it would probably have a bit more flavor. So for vegan options, I wouldn't care to come here again, but would come to sit outside and have a beer and to eat the potato twists that came with the burger, those were delicious! Our server was kind and did a good job. The burger was around $18 and the draft beer was $7.50, it's a bit pricy per person, the atmosphere and views are worth it every now and then.Vegetarian options: Black bean and quinoa burger with fries, salads.Parking: They have a parking lot right in front of their restaurant/inn.Wheelchair accessibility: There is an elevator to go to the upper floor.

We came here for both breakfast and dinner. The views were amazing and there were large windows overlooking a beautiful lake view. I would especially recommend the dinner here. Service was very attentive at dinner. Breakfast they seemed a bit short staffed. It was a longer wait and I prefer the food at dinner as well. The breakfast food was not nearly as spectacular. Nothing wrong with it. It just didn’t blow my socks off like dinner did

The location can be a little elusive, because it is located inside of the resort and upstairs when you enter. Also if you’re going for an early morning Sunday drive make sure you get there after 11am because they’ aren’t open, even though it says 7am that’s incorrect. The view is great on the patio, with larger groups (4 or more) make sure you get there early or expect higher wait times. Same for when ordering with a larger group.Food is good and the sweet potato fries are worth substituting. Everything was made to order and the server was attentive to our needs

Had dinner here one night while staying at the Pines Resort. Can't say enough nice things about them. From the food to the service, especially our server, everything was top notch. I had the filet mignon burger, which was huge and delicious. My daughter had the ravioli, which she loved. She even ate the mushrooms on top, and she supposedly didn't "like" mushrooms. I tried some myself and they were very good. Portion sizes here are pretty hefty. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

On our way back to the resort for the night from Yosemite, seeing we'd arrive around 7:30p, we called to make sure the restaurant would be open until 8p to get food to-go. Recording on the phone said it was open weeknights until 8p. Walked in at 7:41p and was told that they closed early at 7:30p. I explained that we chose not to dine in Oakhurst due to checking the hours on the phone. they said it didn't matter. No reason they couldn't fix us a to-go order 11 minutes after closing early. Horrible customer service, absolutely ruined my stay at the resort as well as resort management also didn't care when I explained to them. Dine elsewhere.

Nice place to sit and view the lake during the off-season.The hamburger I had was not good. It was mushy, greasy, lacking flavor and the bun was store bought. For a $15 burger, I expect more than fast food flavor. The staff was pleasant and friendly; however, our server was somewhat clueless. He took our order, 5 minutes later brought us water and said he would be right back with our beer - another 5 minutes and our beer arrived. In general he was slow and did not understand customers needs- nice guy though.

This review is for Ducey's Bar and Grill. Ducey's Bar and Grill is the cheaper option upstairs. Ducey's on the Lake is the fancier, fine dining option downstairs. We had a party of 2 on a Monday night in June. You weirdly have to walk through the restaurant toward the bar to get to the host stand. The decor has a woodsy feel. The questionable totem pole is apparently a relic of a movie that was filmed at Bass Lake and Ducey's in the 80s.We sat on the deck and the view of the lake was great. The table and chairs seemed a little grimy. We could hear the live music from the restaurant next door, which was an added perk. Here's what we got:- Blackberrita ($12): Very sweet, but decent.- Bang Bang Shrimp Bowl ($18): Very big portion! It came with a lot of shrimp. Loved the pineapple and mango salsa.- Flyin Hawaiian ($16.50): Very good, but be warned that it's very messy! Comes with bottomless fries!! The fries were perfectly crunchy. The service was very good! Victor was our waiter, but a lot of different people checked on us and delivered our food.Good prices, good food, and good views.

This is a Hidden Gem of a restaurant in the Sierra Nevada National Forest right on Bass Lake. We came for the amazing culinary food and stayed for the cocktails. The views are amazing the service is impeccable and the food taste so delicious. My favorites are the chicken sandwich, the Ahi sandwich, the calamari and so much more. The house lemonade cocktails are amazing! The peach and the apricot flavors were my favorite, made with delicious flavored vodka and tasty sweet Tangy lemonade. Be sure to take advantage of their happy hour which is 2 to 5 p.m. .
