Hearty Burrito Grande. Guac wasn't great but the burrito made up for it. Attentive waitress.A good spot for Tex-Mex in an area where restaurants are relatively sparse. I recommend it.Parking: it's a free parking lot in front of the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: seems fine for kids.Wheelchair accessibility: first level; no stairs.

The red salsa here is just pitch perfect. It has exactly the right amount of smokiness and spice level. My wife loves spicy food and it’s very rare that she falls in love with a salsa that easily. I literally did a take out from here 30 mins ago and we enjoyed the food and salsa so much that I got compelled in writing this review while holding a salsa dipped burrito in one hand.Vegetarian options: Veggie burrito is crafted to perfection.

I’ve been coming to Yosemite for decades, and this was the first time I’ve visited Bass Lake. We were looking for some Mexican food and after comparing a few spots I chose this one and I was extremely happy! I’m a SoCal native and a pretty good cook, which means I’m very picky about where I eat outside my kitchen. Great staff and even better food. We’ll be visiting again every trip. Do yourself a favor if you’re going to the lake.

Very good taste in strongly themed setting, friendly service. Four years ago, my 7-years-old daughter and I first dropped into this family style Mexican place after walking two and half kilometers (1.6 miles) following heavy snow. We were so satisfied that we come back specifically for it.The food may not be the very best Mexican I have tried, but "satisfactory guaranteed" may just apply. Combined with extremely inexpensive pricing, you really cannot top the value.In addition to the very Mexican food, the decoration is also very Mexican. Even though this is not a high maintenance venue, lighting and colour theme make the interior very attractive.This time, my daughter ordered a combination of tamale and chilis rellenos. I got sautéed cod in a fried tortilla bowl. Aside from being more oily than we are used to, both are excellent. We'd never had fried ice cream before so we also took one for novelty. Turns out that ice cream is enclosed in a fried taco bowl. My daughter insists that the bowl is then deep fried but I highly doubt it.The meal only costs $28 tax included.

Great tasting & well prepared Mexican food, friendly staff, great timeliness, awesome customer service and best of all is this is THE best priced food that I’ve seen in several years. Definitely a good bang for your buck! And they make a delicious homemade chips and salsa, even on to go orders. And you’re in Bass Lake. I’m hooked.

Bass lake is gorgeous this time of the year. The food at this place was delicious. I'll definitely return here. The server was so nice and polite. This place was able to accommodate a special request 2, with a smile. Good price 2. A combination plate was 11$

Pictures will not do justice to this hidden little gem. After a day of trekking through the peaks and valleys of Yosemite, this small little dining option (in a town called Bass Lake population 527)The food was fast, the service was friendly, and the prices compared to portion size was fantastic.I don't know how this location showed up when searching for options in the area but I am glad it did, You won't go wrong swinging by for dinner here.

Why has it taken me so long to finally try this place!? Their food is AMAZING! Hands-down my new favorite Mexican restaurant. Because of Covid you can only order for pick up, so we brought it back to our chalet and all I can say is wow! Compliments to the chef! And the staff was so very friendly! We will definitely be frequenting this establishment! We had Chef Efren’s Maxima Fajitas, Asada Chimichanga, Jalapeño Poppers, Chips and Salsa and Albondigas. And they have cocktails to go!!!

The place I work for had an event in North Fork on a Saturday. Casa Velasco was our choice for food to feed 100+. The awesome employees loaded my truckbed full of chili verde and chili colorado along with rice,beans,chips and salsa. The owner was nice enough to take what wouldn't fit and she followed me to the event. She helped unload and left only after it was completely done. Thank you guys for the great customer service and I'll be telling everyone about you!!!

Delicious food. Never had a bad meal here. Service is very good/friendly . We live in Fresno, and every few weeks we have to make the beautiful drive here to have fantastic tacos and unbelievable marguaritas!

The grande veggie burrito can be made vegan and makes a great plant based option. Almost reluctant to post a review! This is a hidden gem tucked away in Bass Lake. Visiting from Hawaii and since I grew up in California I really miss the small mom & pop Mexican restaurants of my youth. This brings back such good memories, and we were so impressed with the food. My shrimp fajita was amazing; our excellent waiter (who had just returned from a vacation in Hawaii) said he's been trying to get the recipe for years and I can see why. Best shrimp ever! Crowded with happy diners, I bet it is busy during season, but early November we were seated and enjoying an excellent margarita in no time. Not fancy, but everyone there was clearly enjoying the food. We'll be back! Mahalo.

Had a late dinner with my wife, brother-in-law and his wife. Can't remember what they had but I had fish tacos with soft shell along with rice and beans. Service was great and the food was good. It's a small spot and it was packed. Had a few folks waiting outside for a seat. Overall a good experience and we will definitely return.Features: No masks required.
