We had a wonderful stay for Christmas on the Bass Lake Home Rentals. The process from booking reservation through checkout was smooth and the house we stayed Cozy mountain hideaway was spacious and had all the amenities and made an excellent experience for all the 3 families staying together.

The cabin was perfect for our group, lots of room and the kitchen/dining area was a plus. Everything was clean and we felt right at home. We have stayed in a number of places on the lake but the Mon Pere cabin is by far the best. With amazing views of the lake, afternoon shade and picturesque sunsets reflecting off the lake, clouds and green forests. Bass Lake Home Rentals is number one, making renting a breeze. Communication before, during and after was appreciated. Five star cabin with a five star performance. Thank you so much, Michael A Anthony and the Bass Lake Crew of 2023...

The staff here is helpful and made it easy to book. We were grateful for the large home to accommodate our extended family. We had plenty of space. The view of the lake, private dock and swimming access were great. Plenty of parking too. However for the cost, the cleanliness and upkeep/updates were severely lacking. Dust and cobwebs everywhere inside. Like the decor and high shelves, fans, window sills, light fixtures etc hadn’t been dusted in a long time. Really tough for those of us with allergies and asthma. Sticky floors, holes in the sheets, we didn’t get enough towels, stained bath mats covered in hair, an odd assortment of old cups and cookware, old pantry food that just been left by various guests, incomplete board games and way way too many granny knick knacks or fake plants covering every surface. Also the lower patio and ping pong table (paddles and balls completely trashed by the way) were covered in rat poo! The grill was so dirty and greasy it was actually a huge fire hazard. It was way out of our capacity to clean enough to use it safely. We had a couple scares with it with big flames and dark smoke so we just gave up. Lost some expensive steaks in the process. Also we were kept from enjoying all the amenities. Huge padlock on the hot tub, no one is allowed to use it. But a spa maintenance person came to treat the water so what is the point?! And the air conditioning/heater is password protected!? We never had a comfortable temperature in the house for the whole week even after complaining several times! The owner only would try to adjust it remotely. We think the owner just gave up on the upkeep of the home a long time ago and are too cheap to redecorate or have competent cleaners. But the rental company should really hold them to a standard if they are going to charge what they do. And then we are expected to respect the home and do a bunch of clean up after. My family member was in charge of the reservation so I’m not sure if these details were received gracefully. If it wasn’t for a family reunion, I would have taken my money for a tropical beach vacation or Disney trip at the drop of a hat. Never again.

We were fortunate enough to have spent time in this beautiful cabin. The cabin is really spacious and roomy.everything looks and feel new . The office people are very prompt to listen to any concern and enthusiastic to resolve your issues.We recommend to be prepared to encounter bears.The only concern I have is the showers aren't accessible for those with disabilities or elderly.Over all it is a beautiful place and if you are seeking for a cozy cabin this is the one for you.

Beautifully set in the hillside, quiet and roomy.Little suggestionsProvide bath soap and bath matprovide hand soap for the sinksprovide extra trash bagsfix the recliner ( it was broken when we got there )provide ping pong ballsWould have been great if we knew the fireplace would not be working.kitchen towelslaundry soap or tell guests to bring their own.The mountain store is great but to get little items above it is pricey and would have been nice to bring things from home.We had a GREAT time lots of memories but it would be a good idea to advise your guest of simple items they should bring or your provide.Thank you.

Terri at Bass Lake Home rentals is awesome! Just finished our 47th year at the Lake and Terri and her staff went above and beyond. We received calls throughout the week checking in to make sure all was good. I would highly recommend Bass Lake Home Rentals to anyone who is planning a trip up to the lake!

We had a great time at the house that base lake home rentals let's us rent. The house was amazing, very spacious, well accommodated, clean and with a great view of the lake. The staff was great with good communication, friendliness always responding as quick as they could. It was overall a great experience.

We had such a wonderful time at Bass Lake! the house was perfect, spacious, and had beautiful lake views. There’s plenty to do around the area and fun shops in town to explore! We can’t wait to go back!

We were at Bass Lake for our son's wedding and the lake house was amazing! It was perfect for our family. The view from any of the three decks is spectacular. It was so relaxing! The staff at Bass Lake Home Rentals was very responsive and easy to work with.

After renting homes for the last 3 years and dealing with the charming Carole Severe , I am sorry to say we had the worst experience this year.I should have known from the day we arrived , on July 3rd , as the house was so dirty , I actually took pics , even though all we wanted , was to enjoy our week and celebrate the 4th of July .The kitchen was very dirty everywhere, the dustpan was still full of dirt and crumbs , all the cabinets were oily , sticky with old oil bottles , one cabinet had a missing knob and all the pans were old and greasy, one had a wobbly handle, not a small size pot, not even an oven glove ,not one towel or rag, the Bbq grill was black and hadn't been cleaned for a very long time etc etc ...the list is too long to go on .it was very unwelcoming, and disappointing, even the table sets were stained with crusty food.I looked at the beautiful view on the lake , and spend the entire afternoon cleaning up so we could set our food and condiments we brought in the cabinetsI went to bed exhausted that first day and as I laid on the bed , I jumped : a big black bug was there on our pillow ,thank God it was just a beetle but still not pleasant.It was impossible to get in touch with the agency for the next few days, and emails were not responded .They have changed one of their tel nr , and I was calling the old nr from my phone contacts , the ownership has changed as I learned later.In any case it's pretty hard to contact this place, the voice mail is always full.I finally did talk to Carol on the 3rd day, she called me back apologizing, saying she will try to send someone to fix some of the issues .The office assured me she wasn't involved anymore and not able to deal with anything but how come she was the only one to call me back and send someone?The place was so charming but nothing worked : the washing machine , which we didn't use the first 2 days, the clock ( dead battery) the water filter from the refrigerator, few electric outlets to charge the phones weren’t working , the tv cable , the image was distorted, the hose ( pierced)to clean the ponton ,covered with duck poop.Another surprise was the bathroom downstairs, with the shower curtains blackened from mold so no one used that bathroom…Every body knows in Bass Lake about the bears , and have extensions cords to secure the trash , well not there. Carole did sent a boy the 3rd day to clean the trash spread all over the place and to bring some extension cords , but she couldn't find anybody else to fix all the issues , of course it's the week of 4th of July , no one is available...On the 3 rd day also , our nanny found a needle from a syringe in the kids bedroom between the bed and mattress, That shows also how well the house was cleaned …But the saddest story here, is that they never apologized , for not responding, instead they put the blame on us for not coming to their office.We have been rented homes all over the states and more, and I have never seen that kind of behavior and such a poor management before , this is really not a reliable and professional business.I ask and call a dozen times to speak with the manager , but they told me he is too busy flying his plane. Well May be he should change business then .

Nice place staff not people friendly some times. Had issues with things. But place restuarant dining is nice food delicious maintenance staff wonderful cleaning staff great veiw amazing only issue been front desk few times rude staff obnoxious night staff member ask questions they not knowledgeable at all they got ask someone call you back never do at all just unorganized at registration desk most time. But over all wonderful place 4 star rating could be 5 star with little effort but lacks in few things but some staff helpful but some. Not seems lots new people hired. All time so steady check in staff
