What a way to spend 4 hours with your friends. From the super nice local police officer who helped us when lost and let us follow her directly to the rental dock to the teenaged kids working the counter and slips, the friendliest chillest people work this lake. Great, patient customer service for a bunch of friends catching up to make up for missed 25th HS reunion (thanks COVID) made this the perfect way to close out a long weekend at Yosemite. Beautiful lake, shores, sights and people. Great times are to be had.

Bass Lake is a beautiful place! The two stars are giving to the boat rental place, We were treated poorly by one staff who took our boat rental order! We will come back to the lake but probably would never rent a boat from this place again!

Nasty food! I’m not sure if it’s because she was pregnant or just having a bad day but very very rude waitress! No understanding for people with special needs or no consideration for them I should say also! Eggs over cooked potatoes had no taste beans were sour and enchilada sauce tasted like tomato sauce out the can! Probably was! If you want breakfast just go to happy burger diner across the street! You won’t regret it! Also what kind of place charges for chips and salsa? This city really needs better Mexican restaurants! And a lot better staff!!! Sure is not Authentic!! Will never come back again! Whoever the owner is do better! Also hire a manger that can make decisions since your not around!

The staff is super helpful and friendly. They have come to our rescue many times when our boat has stalled or when we just need to rent something for water sports. Super convenient and easy.

Had a beyond terrible experience. The staff was very rude, almost treating us like we were getting paid to rent from them. With a demeaning tone, and insisting we were not paying attention to instructions. Essentially talking to us like we’re a bunch of kids. In addition to the rolled eyes, sighs etc…. Idk what it was, we are African American and Hispanic. I don’t wanna call them out for being racist but it sure felt like that as we saw Caucasian folks getting treated much better. Either way they’re highly unprofessional and need a training on manners. Also the lake sucks, clean, yes. But the lake has so many rules where it sounded basically impossible to not get ticketed. I’m honestly surprised we didn’t get a ticket. Just a few things to mention, bass lake is a straight road, right is right. Where you can turn around is not descriptive or accurate. Where each side of the lake separates on the map is neither accurate. So for example if you make a turn in the middle of the lake to change direction you could be susceptible to $100’s of dollars worth of a fine. I urge you do not rent here if you want to have freedom or be treated with any once of respect.

When you take the boat you have to make sure everything is working and you have a propane to make a barbecue .. either way it’s nice place you’re going to have a fun with the family.

Very friendly staff. Quick service. We got an 8 person pontoon for half day. Reasonable price especially with military discount. Boat was clean and ran perfectly. The staff were the best part though. They really make you feel welcome and taken care of

Great Equipment Selection, Disappointing Customer ServiceI recently had the opportunity to rent jet skis from this establishment, and while the equipment itself was top-notch and the variety of options impressive, I was quite disappointed with the level of customer service provided.Upon arriving at the rental facility, my family and I were excited to enjoy a thrilling day on the water. We looked at the top of the flyer, which outlined a price list of the jet skis available. However, as soon as we agreed on the jet skis we wanted based on availability, we encountered several unexpected complications.Upon completing the necessary paperwork, we were obliged to pay for insurance without being offered the alternative of using our own. This lack of transparency was frustrating, as we would have appreciated the choice to utilize our existing coverage.Furthermore, when it came time to pay for our selected rental, we noticed that the amount didn't match our mental calculations. It was then, much to our surprise, that your staff mentioned a significant price increase during holiday weekends – an additional 20% of the original listing price. Despite consulting the flyer, this percentage was never mentioned during our negotiation. This miscommunication left us feeling deceived and unfairly treated.Seeking clarification on this matter, we were met with rude and unsympathetic behavior from the employees. This further soured our experience and made us question the integrity of the business. We had already paid a substantial amount for the rental, and we ultimately decided to avoid allowing this negative encounter to ruin our anticipated attraction.To our dismay, upon our return, one of the staff members casually mentioned an extra charge related to the consumed gas. While we understand that this was perhaps mentioned in the flyer, we expected that all charges would be clearly explained during the agreement signing process. Unfortunately, this was not the case, leaving us with a sense of being scammed and taken advantage of.In conclusion, while your establishment offers a commendable variety of well-maintained equipment, the lack of transparency and unpleasant customer service overshadowed the positive aspects of our experience. We strongly encourage you to address these issues to ensure that future customers have a more pleasant and fair rental encounter.

$490 to be disrespected by the staff/owner. I rode my motorcycle up there and wanted to keep the adrenaline going so I decided to rent a jet ski. Was out for about 45 min when I met some ppl and was riding around with them. The rental place sent out a guy to the location my new found friends were to try and tell them something when they had their own jetskis that they owned. He looked stupid to say the least. Pretty sure they called the sheriff because they showed up shortly after. Sheriff's are always a-holes there to begin with but this time they just asked me if I was good since SOMEONE ELSE came near me at high speeds. I said yeah and they let me on my way with no issue. The rental place sent out a kid to bring me back in to what look like an intimidation tactic as they had 4-5 guys from the staff waiting there so that when I pulled in the owner / old head there (TOM) could talk to me in a rude and very unprofessional way. I then told him to just let me finish my first hour and refund me the second one because I rather take my money back than cuss him out. So I used the last 15 min to go Flagg down the sheriff and ask him if I did anything wrong and they clearly said no that I was good. Then I went back and return the jet ski and enjoyed the rest of my day riding my motorcycle, what I should have just done instead of paying for such a service that made me write a review when i never do. SO THANKS TOM!!! and even if they need my business or not just wanna put it out there to anyone wanting to go here. YOU ARE BETTER OFF RENTING ELSEWHERE. If you don't believe me that's fine, go find out yourself.

The crew inside and out were very personable. I love their enthusiasm and how they are willing to help with any question or concern. We rented the boat for the 4th of July and as many times we came in the crew didn't mind. I would rent from them again. Everyone deserves a 👍!

Hostile and discriminatory service. We booked a boat for 6 pm and on the phone they told us we can start earlier if the boat is available. We arrived there an hour earlier and started registering. At first they said we need to wait till 5:30 then an other employee told us we can start since there is a boat available and we also could see the boat we booked was available and empty. However, later again they told us there is no boat available and we need to wait till 5:30. My wife was pregnant and it was really hard for us to stay outside in 95 degree and I did not like they discriminatory behavior and changing their word several times. I cancelled our reservation and when the manager was talking to me as the final negotiation she said we can only start at 6 pm! Bottomline their message was this: people who we like and are worth it can start earlier others need to wait longer. Some people do not think everyone has to be treated equally. This was very rude and discriminatory.

Beware don't not rent from this rental company you will get overcharged when you return the boat. If you don't inspect the boat propeller they will say you damage it. Unfortunately we are not the first victims of this robbery after looking through the reviews. This is sad that their are disgusting people who take advantage of tourist.

Rented a pontoon boat for 4 hours. Everything was perfect. The staff were very friendly and helpful.They've been shredded on some of the comments on here, so I feel it's only fair to make sure my positive experience was shared.

Very unpleasant, first boat had broken radio, we returned back get different boat and must returned due to light on dashboard with "low oil" red light. Stuf was very unpleasant, with explanation that red light is not "problem" but nobody explained that before. Thet told me you have only 20 min left anyway and we rented for 2 hours. They ask us to sign several documents for our responsibility but seems they don't have any responsibility to renter. Unfortunately there is no zero stars on review.

This place is a joke ran by a bunch of highschool kids who have horrible customer service but it was clear that was from the top down as I saw a few of the senior staff treating customers horribly and spoke with a "manager" named Daytona who was just as rude and unpleasant as the rest of the staff. To top this all off one of the employees said the management treats employees poorly and is constantly taking tips away. Someone should file a class action suit on behalf of the employees! Beware your tips are likely being stolen from the person/people you intend it for by a greedy management/ownership.

This is the most untrustworthy and dishonest business I've ever come across, it unfortunately ruined any future renting experiences for me and my family. The staff is in serious need of an adult to oversee all the teenage employees who are rude, unhelpful, and goof off in front of customers who need help or assistance. The staff also acts like you're a bother if you ask them any questions, the "managers" are just as young and unhelpful as the rest of the employees. The prices for jet skis are not as advertised on the website, and purchasing the insurance is completely useless. When returning our two jet skis, one of the employees points out "damage" to the jet ski that they claim was not there before. They provided no explanation and immediately accused us of damaging it when absolutely nothing was hit. They insisted that the damage was $300 worth. It was extremely discouraging to have to pay for damage that was not caused by our use, it was clear after this experience that this business is run as a scam. This was not the first or last time they have done this to customers and it is clear that is how they make their money. Save yourself the time and money- use a different rental business with integrity.

Amazing place and staff ! Everyone there is very helpful and they just want you to enjoy your time out on the lake. All the negative reviews just sound like people who were mad they had to pay for damages they caused. We just followed their rules and they gave us great recommendations of the best spots on the lake and me and my family had an absolutely wonderful time! We plan to come back here every year, there’s no place like bass lake.

I was here on the lake with my wife and family in-law visiting last year. The reason it's taken so long to write a review is because of how horrible it was, and to this day reminding me of the terrible experience. We drove down to Bass lake on our last day of the vacation to rent from this group. The people working there are teenagers with hormone-filled issues that they strike out at you. I understand, that in more rural areas you can expect less of a gratuitous service due to lack of education, but this was on another level. From the beginning to the end, I felt judged as these teens gathered my personal information and laughed at the way we were communicating with my family in another language. Upon return of the gear they decided to charge us with a few hundred dollars of damages. As the damages were done before our trip, I filed a reimbursement form with my bank (which was returned), and now I'm facing a COURT HEARING (they filed a suit against me) from the whole situation. STEER CLEAR, DON'T GIVE THESE GUYS BUSINESS. LET THE BUSINESS DIE.

DO NOT GO HERE… Tom is a scam artist. Charged us $250 for “damaging the prop” and saying that we probably hit something when we went to land… we didn’t go to land, and when we did go into the dock, he had his teenage drivers like Chrissy, Bella, and Derrick drive the boat!!! (Who crashed the boat into another right in front of us)Complete scum bags that just try and take your money. Stay away and if you don’t want to, make sure to take pictures of your boat before taking off.

The company is RACIST beyond belief. Their boats do not work. We rented two boats, one of which stalled after leaving the dock. The owner leaves his wife to deal with all the “dirty work”, but even she is a racist. They are unprofessional, take your business anywhere else.

I would put zero stars if I couldWe went and rented a medium Pontoon boat for 9. When we got it out on the water it was running slow the engine seemed like it wasn't working right ans when we went to go take it back it wouldn't turn left.. so when we finally made it back to the dock one of the guys took it for a test drive with us. He was rude and was saying it felt fine and that it's not supposed to go fast. We told him last year we rented one and it was turning much better and going faster. That we want a different boat. When we got back to the dock to switch another employee we were talking to said "Oh yeah boat H is terrible"...We got a boat upgrade it was nice, turned correctly. But they forgot to fill our propane.. we were on the other side of the lake docked and they wouldn't bring us some. So Back to the Dock we went. .I wouldn't recommend this place. Miller's Landing Boat Rentals was much better last year!

We rented a jet ski for two hours and overall we had good experience. Staff were fine too.Only one guy who was explaining the rules to us was kind of rude. He explained how to get out of the area and he repeated "do you understand?"Just a heads up for other folks going there, if you are often offended by special behaviors, remember you are entitled to get a good explanation before you head out to the water. We went there for kayak and paddle board rental last week and they left me no choice to write them a one star review.The on-site experience was average. We were not impressed to give a great review but neither a negative one. However, the things that happened after were extremely disappointing. We got an extra bill of $100. They did not inform us anyhow and we found out on our credit card bills.We rented two paddle boards and one kayak. About half way through the one-hour rental, one of us fell off from the paddle board. I believe this happens to most beginner paddle boarders. The paddle fell into water and sunk. It was not too deep that I could see the paddle but not able to reach it since I did not bring any swimming gear. One of us went back to the shore and let the staff know where the paddle sunk. He told us not to worry and gave us another paddle. By the time we returned our rental, we talked to another staff member about this and he said the same thing. We left with them telling us not to worry.After a week, we found the extra charge on our credit card and called them to confirm. They said it was because we lost the paddle and did not let anyone know.While we were there, we paid an extra non-refundable $5 insurance for each piece of equipment. This insurance covers up to $500 with a $20 deductible. They charged us $20 after us calling them and argued for like half an hour over the phone.Couple things drove me to write this review:This is my first time seeing a paddle for paddle board that can sinkThey charged a hundred dollars without any form of notificationThe amount they charged was incorrect, they charged four times more than what they shouldIf you make any purchase with them, make sure to check your credit card bill carefully. And DO NOT FALL INTO WATER!!!

Very unprofessional. We paid 250 an hour for ONE jet ski. BROKEN SLOW JETSKI. We took it once to get it fixed and it died a second time. They didn’t refund us, not even an hour! The staff has a super snobby attitude also. Very unfortunate that this Is one of the few places to rent from up here. HORRIBLE SERVICE AND VERY SLOW. The owner obviously doesn’t care about customer service, they have the same snobby staff members every time. ALSO if you look at all these negative reviews, the “owner” only says “thank you for the feedback” or “comments” instead of making up for the inconvenience. Very very unprofessional.

Huge thanks to Ester and Olivia who took care of us and made sure we had a great time! Great boats, great service!Only thing is, the prices are in the mid to high range. Could be a tad bit competitive since we had to pay around $200 extra for memorial day weekend.
