The store seems to be much improved than before. It is very well stocked and organized. The computer system pos needs to be upgraded and I don't care to much for the receipt dispenser. Especially, since I am a permanently disabled person with several fractured discs. So, it's extremely painful to bend down to retrieve my receipt.

This time it was well stocked. Easy to find everything. Most of the time this location is very busy. It hard to get any help as well. But this time it was slow. I got great customer service.

Awesome couple gals at the register. I didn’t get her name, but the lady with the long braids was absolutely killing it at her job, way to go, keep it up! Passing through town I stayed for a couple days across the street, so I came here just a few times. In fact, each business I’ve been to in this town has had awesome customer service so far!

Nice place, the only complaint I have is they only had 1 person working that day. Which it took a long time to check out. She was cashiering all by herself. But she was very nice and did her best under those conditions.

No matter what day or time I've visited here or even how many employees are working the wait to purchase anything is always atrocious. Worse than Walmart waits and it's merely because employees will make guests wait until they finish their rounds or duties.

Andrew is the real "MVP!" The blackout curtains discount sticker was still on the merchandise rack yet it was expired😐Andrew made sure the price cut was given🤓😊Anything helps these days! Clean, neat, and professional including the manager 🤓

I shop there once in awhile but it is one of My Mom's favorite place to go . It's a nice well stocked smaller store and the employees are knowledgeable about the merchandise and store is clean and friendly.

Barstow does not have much to offer, But dollar general is one place I can count on to be open when I need something like Ice cream, sweets or even a beer at 10 pm. Always a friendly staff and respectful, everything is easy to find and nothing really to complain about. Well maybe more cold sodas in the refrigerated section

I generally go to this place quite often, their prices are cheaper than walmart, great candy and tampon selection, sometimes good deal on clothes. but one time the assistant manager or clerk, said really loud in front of customers to leave her store immediately, never come back. Until finally another co worker of here came up behind her and said..."not her not her.."Which made me SOOOOO MAD to begin with. Because i own a non profit youth cheerleading organization High Desert Dreamers & i know people, other customers were standing right there, looking at me like"omg the cheer coach steals?" She apparently thought that i that i was stealing... But they caught the right person eventually. But... Still the fact remains that they should train their management staff to be more professional and pull people aside in the event that they are going falsely accuse someone of something. Other than that... I love this place. I like the one on Rimrock better. We have 2 dollar general's in Barstow.

The store was clean and we'll stocked . Cashier had 2 customers when I arrived so I browsed the store looking for tarps, which they do not carry. Grabbed a coffee and headed back to the register. I asked Victor if maybe they carried tarps in another dept but sadly no. Victor really seemed happy and was very helpful letting me know to check Wal-Mart or Home Depot.

Only missing one star because I bought a really cute shirt and they didn't remove the security alarm. I walked to get there and back home, it was way to cold to walk back and the weather has been sooo ugly lately.

I like alot of their merchandise but items will say a sale price n will ring up normal price n u show them n they'll it's not that 1 every time I've worked retail most of my life so I know how to read the UPC n description but they won't give it to you

Dollar General disguises itself as a bargain but mostly just gets unhealthy food to low income areas. Worst of all is the food isnt even much of a bargain. The best thing Dollar General has going for it is that it does provide a place tp shop in areas that usually don't get a grocery store of sorts.

Love to shop at this place good deals all the time.... Don't like that I can't bring in my purse and baskets can't go out of the store. Makes it difficult when I want to purchase a lot.

There is always only one register open no matter how many are in line.you have to get mad before they get someone else to check out. But they are nice .

Called to see if they had a item in stock employee was very rude acted like she didn't want to look then left me on hold for 1 hour and 32 minutes it's really sad that we can't get get good customer service in such a small town that's ok I'll go to the other one but if this is the way that customers are treated at Dollar general I won't shop here ever again

This is my go to place! The stores are always clean. The employees are always nice. I always get whatever I can from the store so I don't have to go to Walmart.

Why is it as soon as I walk thru the doors they are serving customers that have NO MASK ON.....I thought it was required in all of California... Not to mention.. The whole U.S.......and most of the rest of the world....And it's so funny that when I mentioned it to the worker that was also not wearing a mask I asked him how come they're allowing customers in with no mask...he just laughed.....I DONT SEE WHAT'S SO funny.....as I set in my car to leave ..three more with no mask walk in ....

9/10 there will be a panhandler or homeless person outside asking you for money more than once. Other than that the employees are nice and store is clean.

It is usually clean and organized. Employees are generally friendly. Prices on a lot of things are lower than most department stores.
