Normally, I would give a 5 star cause I love the 99-cent stores.... however, now it's upsetting because it's being sold. On top of that, there's a sign that says "10-30% off ENTIRE store" ... but then they announced over the loud speaker that it applies to certain items... SMH. Anyhoo, waiting for it to be saved by investors and bring items back to actually costing only 99 CENTS!!!

In this establishment, one cannot help but be appalled by the disgraceful display of incompetence and prejudice. The staff, plagued by lethargy and a lack of professionalism, seemingly exist solely to perpetuate a racially charged environment. The management, a farce in its own right, has failed to address these issues, thereby allowing them to fester.Nancy, a prime example of the problem, exhibits a blatant preference for certain ethnicities while targeting others. Her callous disregard for the safety of people of color is alarming, as she turns a blind eye to harassment by her Latin counterparts while swiftly involving law enforcement against those who do not fit her narrow worldview. Her customer service is a mockery, catering exclusively to her preferred clientele while dismissing others with a cold, rude demeanor.The absence of diversity within the workplace is both glaring and unsettling, as the staff spends their time gossiping and neglecting the needs of their guests. It is a disheartening sight to witness, as the establishment's potential for growth and progress is stifled by such blatant ignorance and intolerance.In conclusion, this location is a breeding ground for prejudice and negligence, with management that fails to recognize or address these issues. A visit to this establishment leaves one with a bitter taste in their mouth, wondering how such a place can exist in today's world.

The store has so many things inside for every type of situation or gathering or function you're having. They carry a wide variety of products, great produce section, freezer section was full, and it's everything that you need in there

I worked at this store for 3 days and nobody trained me instead they just ignored me and told me to hold on or go do pricing when there was really nothing to do this store IS NASTY RAT TRAPS ALL OVER THE PLACE DO NOT BUY YOUR FOOD FROM THERE AT ALL THEY LIED ON MY NAME TO MY CASE WORKER AND SAID I DID MARIJUANA WHEN WHOLE TIME I WALKED SOMEBODY OUT TO THERE CAT AND SHE TIPPED ME AND SO I RAN IT BY THE MANAGER WEATHER IT WAS OK FOR ME TO KEEP IT AND TO GO PUT IT UP ALL THE WHILE THEY USED THAT AGAINST ME TO GET ME FIRED BUT I ALEADY STOPPED CAUSE THEY WASN'T TRAINING ME AT ALL AND WAS VERY RACIST

We go there quite often and you can find practically anything you need groceries and lots of other household supplies and many other items ... Employees are always friendly and place is clean .. You can make your money stretch a little bit further here

I love browsing through the 99 cent store discovering little treasures. The store was neat and tidy...merchandise was not sprawled all over as people come to expect with discount retailers and the staff was polite, professional and knowledgeable...something I value in a retail employee.

hi there 99 cent store of Barstow Who was working the morning of 11/5/2023 This 30-40 yr old darkhaired lady checking out at aisle 1 was extremely intimidating. She did not hand me my bags in a well manner and had an extremely hostile demeanor. She even yelled at the old woman behind me in line. What is going on here?

Watch your reciept. I just got home and looked at the receipt and I got charged for something twice which it's a big item I don't know how the heck they even did it twice but now I have to take time out of my day, use my gas to come back because these people don't pay no attention. I'm pissed 😡

This 99¢ Store is perty good as far as I am concerned. I have been to several different ones all over the place. But this one is always clean, well stocked, clean restrooms, and the associates friendly, helpful, attentive and smiling. I really like the facts that they keep themselves busy and they can and do count back your change. The only thing I don't like is the way they bag your purchases. Bags are too heavy and chemicals mixed in with food/paper products. Or anything other combination of items that should not be mixed.

Visited 5/7/23 right before closing and the young lady with natural red hair with beautiful eye shadow on was a sweetheart and super helpful. That young lady deserves a raise and soon. Love having great experiences at the 99, keeps me coming back.

I frequent this place. Process are okay, and you never know what awesome it cute stuff they have that day. A couple of times I've had to take 2 food items back because they were moldy, but since they closed down Vons next door, had given 99¢ store more advantage, Vons the best store ever. A little pricey but perfect.

This place no longer sells items for $0.99 it's in really bad shape and I bought two items today. Showed they were $0.99 on the shelf and the price of each item was $4. Manager says oh the price fell. Then I bought batteries that are $2.99 on the box but yet they charged me $3.99 on the register. They have to call the manager and wait three four minutes just so I can get my refund. What a joke. Get your stuff togetherOr someone will be suing you soon

It was a pretty nice store. Pretty clean and organized. I was able to find what I was looking for pretty quickly and leave. I would suggest this location if you're looking for small items like pasta sauce or condiments. Ever drinks would be good to look at here. Would I go back again when I'm in the area? Yes, I would go back. The people were also pretty nice too.

There were no shopping carts for the two people in front of me or myself as I first got up. Had to walk back to the parking lot to get one myself to start. Store was "scattered" inventory along with only two cashier's open with 5 to 8 people waiting before me. Cashier was the most pleasant of the experience. She was was courteous and professional to bagging was quick and considerate without simply tossing products randomly in.
