Terrible store, never back!was buying some materials for my projects during a year. Sometimes you could stay a hour just to pick up some boards, if you want to return extra lumber they will charge you 20-30% just in case!Today was buying kiln dry redwood B grade, $90 each, firstly guy brought green lumber instead, but later brought correct but damaged and said i have to take it, because he cut!!when supervisor came, it was a very unpleasant conversation, but they changed one board.i was really unhappy with this conversation and decided to know name of this supervisor,I was pleasantly surprised that it was the OWNER of the store!terrible service!!!!!

Just went in there to browse around.When I lived near here, I'd go in all the time to get supplies, tools, and stuff.So, since I was in the area, I stopped in. MASSIVE PLACE!!! And, they got it ALL!!!And, if you go in, ask about the Ford Model T that's NOT for sale. Nice staff too!!!

Great place to find great lumber, prices are very reasonable for the quality of wood, but gotta say, the staff back there, great customer service. Everyone is very helpful especially Tony, very grounded and humble and happy to help. Couldn’t ask for better help. Will definitely return!

Had a horrible experience at Nichols! Got there and waited an a hour and a half for a couple of beams that needed to be 8ft long. After the hour and a half, we were finally up next to have our ticket picked up by a forklift driver so they coukd pull our order. After a few minutes, the sales teller came out and said, we actually don’t have them, we have to make them. I asked how long and they responded with “it depends what is waiting at the mill already”. After another hour and a half, i went back inside to figure out what was happening! I told thwm we had waited 3 hours and still no beams! A person got uo very quickly to go and check. They came back and said can they be 16ft? They hadn’t even pulled them to be made!! Finally, they cut them and brought them! Well, they were all incredibly dry AND cracked!! They person from the office said this is the best you are going to find! We got a refund, left to Ganahls and bam! Amazing customer service and beautiful beams!! So guess what Nichol’s, we did find better. Dont go here unless u plan on wasting ur valuable time.

I don't understand this bad service .I was order 3:20They bring 4:35Worker say : one time helf and no more.I called inside office holder. I don't know his name he is black gentleman. He is upset too. And passing closing and several guys watching and yelling.I don't want to go anymore. They are my neighbors. But I am sad I get bad neighbor. Really bad.I fixed my self merchandise. Now I have pain my back from they are parking lot.

Went there today for 20 2x8x18 I had to wait at least 45 minutes to an hour then when I looked at what they put on my truck the material was cracked, corners missing, and had 1 that was forked so I went inside to talk to a manager and asked her to look at what was put on my truck then another guy comes out and said she should not be out there and this is what I should take and don't I need blocking material and I said yes I do but I needed at least 7 rafters so then they were going to change some of them so the manager went back inside then when I was helping the driver take off the bad pieces when I noticed all the pieces in the middle were awful some were dark gray like they have been in the sun for a couple years the rest were so cracked I wouldn't even been able to use them for blocking when I asked the driver why did he put this on my truck he said this is what they said to get and he only works there so I went back inside and asked for the manager and he said what do I want that is the material they are going to give me and what do I expect and some other sales people said some smart remarks and he even told me to take off my mask so he could see my face to remember for later then I asked to talk to the owner which they said he wasn't there then I explained I have been doing business there for thirty years I know you are a salesman but please have some integrity and don't threaten me and why didn't he go see the material so he would see what I was talking about so then I got my refund I told them I could not believe the way I was treated by them and left.I'm posting this not only to make people aware but I'm hoping the owner will see this and investigates what happened and have people that are courteous possibly kind and not allow any employee stick awful material in the middle of your load for you to find when you get to your projectINTEGRITYI arrived about 11:30am there are camera's

Buyers beware. I paid extra for lumber that they call “exposed” which means the lumber will be installed somewhere a customer will be able to see and is exposed to them so it must be of higher quality. They loaded a pallet in my truck with two nice boards at the top. When I get to the job site and unload the materials I found only the top two boards of good quality and the rest you can say was trash lumber. When I called the lumber yard to complain they laughed and said I should have checked the lumber and that if I wanted to return it , that there is a 25% restocking fee. Needles to say I won’t be returning to this lumber yard anymore.

I order 4 pieces of lumber yesterday and they told me it will be available until the next day in the morning.i accepted it and paid for it. Within the next 30 mins the called me and told me they mad a mistake and won’t have it available until 12pm that day . I called back to try work something else out with a smaller pice of lumber and they would not talk to me about because I had to talk to the person that placed my order which was Vincent . They said they would leave a message for Vincent tO call me beck within 30 mins that day and they never called me back. When I Sent someone to pick it up today they told me that it’s not ready and I have to wait. So I called the lumber yard and asked what time it would be ready and their response was that they don’t know and when I asked if I could talk to Vincent they said he’s not available. They are unreliable and unhelpful. If I could give a half of a star I would.

Ask for Margarita, she is awesome and very helpful, brought experts to my attention. Come to Nichols if your project is organized, otherwise go straight to Home Depot.

You look at the wood but you dont see the price until you go back to the register, and you dont get to pick your boards. Thats crazy!!!!I grabbed a 5 pack of stickin sanding disks and saw the price was decent. I come to find out that the price is for each disk. Thats insane!!! Thats how they get you, you buy a few things and dont know that you paid a crazy amount for the sanding paper.I dont even think they can sell them individually, who the hell goes and buys one disk?First and last time here.

Clearly Nichol's Lumber motive is profit. Which is unfortunate because I have made the switch from a big box store to shop local and ended up getting ripped off for unusable materials.Worked with the purchasing manager Rick Deen who guaranteed me a solution in person for there brittle/flaking birch and then ghosted me. I ended up having to go in person and he told me in the most condescending manner that it was me and not that and that he owes me nothing.(We do custom fabrications on the daily for some of the biggest musicians in the game and directly for the largest music festivals in the country - with out a doubt there's no issue with our experience or equipment)This is what's wrong with small Business these days is they forget they are also the little guy and that us small players become there large contracts.If you're looking for a place to pick up lumber that respects and values it's customers I can assure you this is not the place.This place is not worth the hassle that comes along with it.

My father placed an order for a pergola project. When my father arrived to pick up his order and load, he notice a number of issues with the order. The lumber wood was beaten, chipped, warped; out of an order 56 pieces, about 8 pieces were good. When addressing this to the office, a rep said, “ this wood adds character,” and another said, “we won’t replace the piece because it wood be too much work.”After going back and forth, my father just asked for 4 10 ft 4x6 beams and 4 8ft 4x6 beams, and canceled the order.Later, my father went to a different location for the lumber, the beams that were form Nichols were all not measured correctly. All the beams were cut incorrectly and short about 2 to 4 inches.This establishment was all a headache and horrible service, I have received better service from Home Depot.

Poor people’s skills had to drive 35 min after being call from their office that order was ready sat down on bench for 20 min n hand over slip to forklift driver for him to drive all over yard for my order 15 min later to tell me n the guy that place my order that it was a mistake n order was sitting at the mill n if I wanted I could wait 20 min for guys to come back from lunch n still will take an additional 30 min for my order or come back tomorrow those were my options not even a I’m sorry for the inconvenience like my time wasn’t valuable

can be polite or can be rude some of them act like they're just collecting a paycheck especially the old-timers. $130 delivery but it's based on the city you live in. A little priceier than most other lumber suppliers do your homework shop around.

Its a very easy process to get your wood the longest you know exactly what you are buying. And even though; they are very busy, they expedite pretty fast. Great customer service.....
