Only place in town that seems to have every dog food brand you can think of. My brand has a frequent buyer program and the large size I buy lasts me 3 months (I store in oversized plastic containers to seal freshness). Everyone is usually nice and helpful.

Im mixed here. Kinda expensive for items that are way cheaper at walmart and petco. On the other hand, there are other items for cheap. Meds for your furry babies are double the price from local stores and triple the price from chewy

The girls up front are insanely rude and unethical. They literally laughed at me after screwing me over and making me drive down for a replacement which they screwed up. I walk in and they laugh and said we aren’t replacing it for you, the other girl who talked to you “talked too fast” and that’s why we can’t replace. The manager with brown hair stated there is no one higher up than her what so ever except the owner, I highly doubt that. You guys have a group of bully highschoolers as cashiers and it’s overwhelmingly unethical. I could see them working at McDonald’s with that attitude, but not here.

Everybody working here is so rude bad attitude talked to us like we were dumb the girls I’m the front have horrible customer service when we asked for a price of the dog houses they repeated themselves over and over making sure we knew it was $500 starting price and looking at us up and down with a snarky face. Did not feel welcomed here at all!

They are always friendly and helpful, and offer a variety of pet and horse products, including economy sized buckets of psyllium powder, which I have found impossible to get anywhere else (including extensive online searches).

Great locally owned feed and tack store. Support your local mom & pop stores whenever possible. Corporate box stores should be at the bottom of everyone's list.

Horrible horrible customer service by the girls who work up front . Roundup has definitely gone down hill. It use to feel like a small mom and pop shop like it is and now it feels like I’m walking into tractor supply . I might as well go to a big block store . We shop here frequently. My friend had her 4 year old daughter with her who had to use the restroom . The girls at the front desk said no read the sign no public restrooms . It’s not like we adults were trying to use the restroom it was a 4 year old little girl . She had to go in the parking lot because she couldn’t hold it . We also wanted to purchase a few chicks and I wanted to grab the ones I was going to purchase and they told me no that wasn’t allowed . WHAT are you serious ... I understand not being able to hold them but grabbing the chicks I wanted to purchase is not allowed . .... Big laugh . What a JOKE never thought this day would come .

The customer service it terrible. I walked into the chick room to buy 4 more chicks. My family and I took about 2 minutes to decide then stepped out to find rabbit food and someone to help us. 3 girls were putting things away from a cart. They looked at me, but continued to put merchandise away. I and my family were the only ones in the store at the time and none of the girls acknowledge me or asked if I or my kids needed assistance. A simple “Hello” or “Can we help you?” would have avoided such an uncomfortable experience. I continued to walk around the store, trying to find the rabbit food that I needed. The girls still didn’t help us. So I began to walk out the store when a gentlemen acknowledged me and asked if I needed assistance. I replied “not anymore and I’m leaving, bye.” I told him these girls have bad customer service and did not acknowledge me or assist me in any way. He apologized and got what I needed. But, I don’t think I’ll be back. This was ridiculous. One of the girls apologized after the fact and helped my kids with the chicks. Too little too late. Going to order rabbit food online, it’s cheaper. It’s very Sad that I will no longer support this local store.

Great store! 1st time in. Have a ill pet and found exactly what I was looking for. Store was clean, well organized, with extensive pet supplies and accessories. A pretty 20ish brunette came through on her way to some store duty. She graciously ask if I needed help. She knew what I was asking about and shelf placement. She was helpful, kind, and seemed to know her store product lines. Pleasant experience😊

Had the feed we needed and a nice young man carried my 50lb bag to my truck for me :) the young lady at the register was helpful and was knowledgeable about the products I had asked her about! Plus, she was as nice as could be!! Something that is lost on todays youth.....and not taught by their employers I guess......a smile and a simple than you after your transaction goes a long way for good customer service! Thank you to these two young folks for their wonderful service!!

Excellent service and knowledgeable staff. They carry farm animals food cattle chicken feed and grains, along with equine equipment and food. They also have domestic dog and they're paraphernalia that you need for them. You can also pick up some of the shots that you need for your. The parking is good. The store is easy in and out.

I think it's a great little feed store they were very helpful into the problem I was having with both of my pets I love my dogs to death so I'll do anything for him to make sure they're comfortable it seems like they're having seasonal allergies right now and they had everything I needed I'm working with it right now it has definitely slowed down the problem they're having I may have to talk to them a little more but they seem to have plenty of information to let me know and guide me the right way

Terrible terrible service. I tried returning some sheep blankets that was obviously never opened or used because it was the wrong size. They wouldn’t let me and didn’t even have the size I needed. They are overpriced and you can find cheaper things and better service at Kushmanns . Their return policy is ridiculous and allows you to not return anything.

Customer Service is beyond bad!! I payed 175.00 for a pair of boots for my horse, and have spent hundred of dollars here....no more !! When I went to return my boots because the color didn’t go with my gear the rude cashier said “ I need to check with my manager”. After a few minutes she said I can only give you store credit for tack” although I tell her there is nothing on the receipt to advise customers. She rudely points to a written sign on top of entry to tack room. And says the sign is up there! The entire time she rolled her eyes and had a rude smirk on her face. Never going back there! so why she ask her manager I take it there is really no policy in place what a joke!

Consistently polite and knowledgeable, and the store is clean and reasonably priced. I have shopped there for years, and Old King Cole, Daisy Lion Paws and I will continue to do so. Because they know us, and they have the best food at the right price. I only feed my dogs great top notch chow. Please Don't feed your dog cheap crappy food Please!! 🐾

This place is awesome. They carry vetRX for rabbits while nobody else in Bakersfield does. They have a lot of stuff you won't find anywhere else and it's all very reasonably priced. I definitely recommend this place.
