My experience was exceptional. I read the other reviews. There was 1 main cashier. She was efficient and friendly as she helped customers. She also helped me when she was not ringing up customers. There were other clerks in various areas of the store working product and displays, available to help customers. Including working a 2nd register when more than one customer was waiting to pay. Also I found the ladies bathroom to be clean and stocked.

It was great. We went in for eye drops for my son's two kittens. We were able to find the isle we needed thanks to all the signs that are up. We found the drops and preceded to the front. The cashier asked if we found everything ok. We told her we did, and when she gave me the receipt, she thanked us with a smile.

Today 2/1/24I came here to pay a bill but today I was not feeling the good vibes but I'm thankful for one female employee that was very nice to me soon I went back inside the pet hospital there was other female employee she was wearing glasses she was around 20-30 I just had a question about the bill that's all I didn't need her bad vibes or anyone else today it was very unprofessional cursing in front of me is not going to get you anywhere.looking for other job.. This is why I don't want to bring my pet here no more that show me there is animal cruelty going on... To all Employees this is not your house this is a job site too Save pets... We need good people that care about animals

I want to give a BIG shout out to Carmen. She runs the cat adoption at this location. This women is my hero!šShe goes out of her way everyday to help with the cat population. The cats at this pet smart are very well taken care of. Thank you again Carmen for your kind heart.

THIS RATING IS FOR GROOMING:I would rate the grooming dept a 0 if I could. Grooming dept was confronting customer about breed of dog stating customer was incorrectly identifying breed and that the grooming dept would change information on account and that if the customer was not comfortable they could take their pet somewhere else. The staff mentioned that his āoriginalā groomer may be misidentifying the pet for a discount of approximately $5, which is an insignificant amount. Customer had agreed to pay difference to avoid confrontation with staff, however after dog was left in the care of the grooming dept, Grooming dept then proceeded to take dog to Banfield next door to ask what breed animal is. I understand that my dog my be taken to the vet in case of emergency, however I donāt believe this situation is an emergency. The groomer that handled the pet was āLeanna Pā however I was unable to identify the staff member that was making the comments due to not having her name tag visible. Our family has taken all of our pets to PetSmart Grooming for 10+ years because of the friendly/exceptional customer service that has always been prevalent however I am sure the performance of the grooming dept at the East Hills (Bakersfield) location on 3/26/24 was not up to PetSmart standards, which is very disappointing for our entire family.

Please educate your employees on how to talk to customers! They was rude and refused to sell me a reptile all cause I refused to buy a $200 aquarium from the store. They need better training!!!

I adopted my cat here on Sunday. She is BEAUTIFUL and crazy š¤Ŗ.The service here is excellent and they truly care for you pets.You can bring your pet in with you and there is areas just for them.

We decided to buy a fish for our daughter so we went to PetSmart. We really had no idea how to care for a fish or where to start since weāve never had this kind of pet experience. One of the associates Rose was super helpful with the entire process. She was able to help guide us through picking the tank, fish, and all of the types of food and accessories we would need. We really appreciated all of her help and we canāt wait to go back for any of our pets needs.

I go to this PetSmart often and love the customer service. However, the last THREE times Iāve gone in I have seen the rodents in gross conditions. I donāt know whatās happened to the downgrade in care at this location in the past month, but I have something to say about it.-Poop and pee covered wheels to the point that it makes wonder if the animals are sick. I have even seen diarrhea smashed onto the wheels. Is the staff working here really that negligent??-Also, they have Syrians running on wheels that are much too small for them. This promotes bad care and harms the hamsterās back.This is terrible husbandry and only furthers the stigma of treating small animals as a lesser than life.I really do love this petsmart otherwise!!! Iām only making this review because this seems to me to be a repetitive and chronic issue that is only getting worse each time I come. Please for the sake of the rodents livelihood, make a change!!!

The person that takes care of the animals is very knowledgable about most all animals she is very helpful and if you want a new pet she can point you in the right direction of what pet best fits you so you and your pet are happy! GREAT PERSON!

The pet grooming service has dirty, nasty floors and it just smells awful. My pet came smelling back like feces. They told me to leave her with them, then come back and when I did, they grilled me for leaving her. It made no sense. They acted like I committed a cardinal sin when they told me to leave her with them while I grab papers from banfield. They even told the cashiers what I did. It wasnāt even a big deal to elicit this workplace gossip over nothing. Please clean the pet area where the dogs are groomed after each dog. Clean the windows. Clean the mirrors and floors with actual cleaner and not only a dry wipe. Reduce infection risk between animals. They canāt do it themselves

I love to go to Pet smart at Oswell st and itās been more than 3 years Iām shopping dog and cat food from there. I love the staff, atmosphere and mainly the Manager name Teresa. I usually donāt write any reviews. But this time i couldnāt stop myself to appreciate Teresa being so professional, hard working and a good employee of Pet smart. I always saw her on her toes working and managing while helping the customers with their queries. She is such positive person with a smile always on her face. I can see that she is so compassionate and dedicated to her work. I feel we should always appreciate such people around us and shouldnāt hesitate to write a review to encourage them. We feel good when we see the positive people around us. Thank you Pet smart and Teresa.

I picked up supplies for my Beta fish, Ross Poldark.The sales girl was very helpful. I was there to purchase live plants for his tank. She gave me a 25% discount on one of the plants I was purchasing.Unfortunately while soaking it in water as the direction stated. It went limp and had a bad smell coming off of it. I tossed it, I don't normally take the time to return things. The other plant, smaller did real well and I stuck it in the tank were it is looking very nice.

Nice friendly staff. Only would of liked better customer service. I asked where a product was and she said if we have it it would be in that aisle. As seniors (66 yrs old) we probably could of used some assistance locating it. Other that that great job!

Love pet smart so clean and fresh in side took my kitten blaze today it was his first time he had to see the vet for his first exam at banfield pet hospital witch is inside petsmart lots of things changed but in a good way fast service and great when it comes to needing help if your not shure what to buy for your pet all so if you see on there app something you want and the price is different from inside the store they charge the same price

The staff is very knowledgeable. Our 7 week old puppy had flees and I was recommended to buy this comb ($7) and use Blue Dawn dish soap. Do this every other day. Let sit for about 10 to 15 minutes rinse and use this comb. It worked! šš

The best staff work there! They are so sweet and helpful and I can sit and chat with them for days lol but in all honesty, they rock! This store is the best and I got my beardie there and I was so happy that they have a whole checklist of must haves before they allow people to adopt them babies! You never know some people's intentions and can't be too careful. Also, some $ saving tips: they price match their online price, and online their merchandise is almost always marked at a lower price. To use price match, simply install their app, search the merchandise you're purchasing, and have the product pulled up on your phone at checkout. Can use for multiple items at your visit. They always have full shelves, too! All your fur baby needs all in one place, with knowledgeable, friendly, staff that are incredibly bright and helpful.

I have been taking my dog for 3 months now, and I have to say that this last time I took her they did not do anything to her and charged for the service. I dropped her off around 4 pm and 20 minutes later they called me to pick her up, they said she was ready. I didn't want to make a big deal out of it, I thought okay this was fast, it takes me 30-45 minutes just to shampoo her and rinse her off at home. I noticed that she was stinky over the next few days and this was not the case the first 2 times that I took her. I was very disappointed. Not going back.
