We had my flat faced cat groomed here. And they did a great job. And my Tiffy can be a real pain in the but. They said she is one of the greatest cats to work on that comes here. So that says to me they made her comfortable and easy to deal with. No other place has been able to deal with her. So thank you guys. You are awesome!

My dog loves this place! They are affordable, friendly, clean, and the dogs don’t sit in kennels; they get plenty of time to play with otter dogs and go outside. They will give medicine too, for a small fee. They always give me a note telling me how my dog did during his stay. I highly recommend.

Fur and Feathers are nothing but AMAZING!!!! Just yesterday I took Oreo and Buttercup (owner/surrender) fur babies to get groomed. Their fur was so matted and tangled. They looked so miserable with all the fur. I dropped them off at 9:00am and picked them up at 1:00pm, when I saw them for the first time after their hair cuts and baths they look like totally different dogs, so happy and full of life!!!! Such an AWESOME transformation!!! I highly recommend Fur and Feathers !!!!! Their prices are very reasonable as well, not to mention the friendly and loving staff, they will treat your fur baby like family!!!

The staff were very kind and professional. They were extremely approachable and understanding of multiple calls to check in. However, I will not be going back because I do not feel like they had the knowledge to care for my bird, and I'm sure my pet had a horrible time.My first concern was upon arrival; my bird was to stay in a loud room with bigger, louder birds. Also in the room was a loud (small, yappy) dog, who's pen area was immediately adjacent to my trembling pet bird. I asked if the dog was going to be there the whole time, and they said "We can move him if you'd like?" and I said yes please!I got a well-intentioned email from the staff about halfway through the stay, with a picture of my pet and a caption to indicate that he is loving it there and is doing just fine. The picture was of my bird at the top corner of the cage, feathers puffed, trying to keep distance from the phone/camera that was taking the picture from INSIDE the cage. An experienced person would know not to intrude on his space.I came back a few days later to pick up my bird, only to find that the SAME DOG is still RIGHT next to his cage, barking incessantly! I asked if the dog had been housed right here this whole time and he said yes, and this employee was not aware of the concern about the dog I shared with the employee I had spoken to when I dropped off my bird! I immediately scooped up my bird to console him and get him to stop shaking, and I left without another word, NEVER wanting to come back. It's safe to assume my bird was so scared for several days and nights, and this suspicion was confirmed when my bird took two days to come out of his cage and start behaving normally.They are nice, well-intentioned people who clearly love all pets, but my assessment is that they need to follow through with what they promise clients, and to learn about bird behavior/etiquette.I have attached the photo they sent me. As you can probably tell, the camera is inside his cage, he is keeping his distance, his cheek feathers are puffed up, and his head is dead-on facing the 'threat' (camera) ready to bite, instead of head to the side to curiously eyeball the camera. You can also see the dog I asked them to move in the background!

Please support this wonderful place. The people treat our Emmie with such love and patience. Emmie was abused real bad before my husband found her. Emmie cant handle change and she has separation anxiety . But she loves this place. They have helped her to come out of her shell a bit. Emmie still has problems and we are trying to help her. She has alot of fear. But Fur and Feathers has really helped her to not be so afraid. She still has along way to go. But with the help of her favorite place to go to Fur and Feathers she maybe someday maybe will forget abt all the horrible things that was done to her. Thank you so much Fur and Feathers!!!!

We got a puppy just a few weeks before we had to go on vacation so we were freaking out thinking “Who is going to take care of her when we are gone?” So, we did some research, read the previous reviews, called them up made an appointment for a day care visit so our puppy could try out the place before we actually made the choice to use them for boarding... we all took a leap of faith and, we made THE RIGHT CHOICE! Kona, our puppy, was received with love and was cared for so well that we decided to leave her there for the whole week we were out on our vacation. They posted pictures on their Facebook page about her having fun with her new friends, they were on top of her the whole time and they gave her the medication she was prescribed for a stomach ache she had. When we picked her up, our puppy looked like she didn’t miss us at all, our puppy made new human friends and furry friends and she was so happy. Now, we take her to day care every day so that she can see her friends and play all day while we are at work and when we pick her up she’s tired and takes a nice nap in the car... the next day she knows her routine and she’s happy to go back to day care. The staff is great, they already know her and they are all so nice to her. They keep track of her progress, let us know how she did during the day, accommodate any needs we have and just over all take care of her like we would at home. We highly recommend this place because simply dogs don’t lie, Kona comes home happy every day!

So sad they've changed! First, they lost our paperwork from the vet showing vaccines so everything had to be faxed over to them last minute 😝 then they decided to add that they now require a flu vaccine as well even though our pets are never boarded only groomed. Then they also decided that certain things that had been included in the grooming were now being charged extra.... Not to mention our dogs were NOT trimmed at all!!!! They just lost a two + year customers and two of our friends!!!! And their response is full of lies! Our vet did give them ALL the information needed with first call because they have both names! Fur and feathers just didnt want to admit they had lost our paperwork in the first place! And our dogs hair was NOT CUT AT ALL yet we were still charged.... After the fiasco with the vaccine papers and our vet- we really should have cancelled but felt we'd give them the benefit of doubt.... Never again!!! I've added in photographs of our dogs- do they look like they had puppy cuts?????? Heck they dont even look or smell like they had a bath!!! 😡

my dog LOVED it here! This was my first time ever boarding him anywhere, so I was worried about him being stressed or freaked out. He stayed for 3 days. I called on the second day to check on him and they said he was doing great. When I picked him up the next day he was beaming! He has even shown more of an interest in other dogs since staying here. A great socialization experience and it was sweet that they let me call during his stay and ask about him. Very considerate staff.

Took our dog here on a recommendation from a friend.Now I take our dog here every month to get his hair cut, washed up and nails clipped. These folks do a great job taking care of the dogs!They also do boarding. We’ve had to be out of town several times and our dog stayed with them.This place is great. I strongly recommend them!

Its Olive's first time at doggie day care this past Wednesday and she was happy and tired when I picked her up. We kenneled and boarded (Friday through Monday) her here. She was nervous at first due to the duration away from us and I picked her up, she was extremely happy and tired, of course. The staff here at Millcreek are very caring and willing to accommodate your fur baby(ies) to fit the needs of your pets and make they feel comfortable.

Needed a safe place for the pups when we come to Bakersfield on occasion. Stumbled upon Fur and Feathers, and could not be happier. My two year old boy dog had the best time at his first day of daycare yesterday. The staff was incredibly accommodating and personable. Definitely will be back!

This was my dog Mr Olivers first time here and I was very happy to know he was being well taken care of and not stuck in a kennel cage like he has been at the previous place I boarded him. I could tell when I picked him up he had been well taken care of and he also got groomed while he was there. Excellent job on the grooming also. Definitely recommend.

It was my PomChi Ruby's first visit and we're so happy! It is so very obvious the staff members at the this facility LOVE ❤ pets! The boarding costs are very reasonable. When traveling to Bakersfield to visit with my son, I always hated having to leave my dog, Hannah, at home and cut my trip short to get home to her. Finding Fur and Feathers was a life saver! They are professional, courteous and really provide the level of service that makes you feel safe leaving your pet there. My dog loves it there, and now I can spend the day with my family and not have to worry about Hannah! THE BEST!!!! I lived in Bakersfield for three years and my two dogs have stayed at Fur and Feathers almost once per month towards the end and attended day care several times. As a Pit Bull mom it was hard to find a place that looks beyond their breed and simply treated them well like any other dog. Compared to other boarding facilities in Bakersfield that I tired, with Fur and Feathers I never had to worry if they are treated well, get their walks, their meals or if special play or feeding instructions are being followed. The staff is always super nice and helpful, and knew my dogs by name even when I just called in to book a stay. I have recommended Fur and Feathers to any dog owner I know and will continue to do so because my boys got the love and treatment they deserved there.

My friends dog in Bakersfield California took their year and a half old Pomeranian on September 28, 2022 and picked her up a few days later she was very sick very ill my good friend took her to the vet and found that she has upper And lower respiratory problems and the doctor said that she has kennel cough I guess I should say everybody needs to be careful because our pets are like our children no money can replace them this place I’m sure needs to let their customers know that they recently had kennel cough in their facility and should send emails out to all their clients Poor puppy I heard she’s in bad shape Customers need to know that this facility has kennel cough going through it as of right now

Our dog Duke loved it, from the time we dropped him off we felt comfortable leaving him here, this was our first time, the staff were very friendly and everything was extremely clean, prices are extremely reasonable for basically leaving a loved one with strangers all day, they have of programs for dogs from swimming to playing with other dogs, thanks fur and feathers

Fur & Feathers is the best! The staff treats our fur babies like their own. While boarding, we did receive call due to our own lack of planning, F & F didn't assume how we wanted it (minor) situation handled, they called for our approval.Picked up my dog, he looked healthy and I received a report card on his stay. I was expecting a bad report because my pug can be a little devil, but the report was positive just focusing on the good stuff like my pup's pals furing his stay. Though I like to travel with my dog, I know it's not alwaya possible, so Fur & Feathers is where he will stay. By the way, their daycare is awesome, too.

My Bassett stayed 16 days. He received excellent care, extra cuddles and attention and was able to go outside regularly to play and socialize with the older and calmer dogs. When he scraped his nose, I was contacted immediately by phone and he was moved into an area where he could not scrape his nose on anything abrasive.He had a bath before I picked him up and was sweet and clean with his ears, anal glands and toenails cleaned and/,or trimmed.I will definitely use Fur and Feathers again to care for my basset. Staff are friendly and helpful.
