Very well stocked and very clean! My only question with the store is Mexican products are separate from American products. American cheese is one aisle and Mexican cheese is in a different aisle. Same with the laundry soap. Same with soda. Mexican soda is in one aisle American soda in a different aisle. American hot sauce and salsa and one aisle. Mexican hot sauces and salsa's on another aisle. American cookies are in one aisle Mexican cookies are in a different aisle. I've asked employees about that and they say they don't know why it's like that. Other than that I really like going there.

Foodmaxx was outstanding, great customer service and support. Nice atmosphere with the surrounding stores, But be careful when you are getting into your car or getting out. This parking lot is notorious for homeless people who just linger out there , and it’s sad because so many seem so disturbed

Came to this store today but could not find a single shopping cart to do my grocery shopping. Very disappointed when I asked an employee where I could find the carts, and she answered “whatever you can find outside” which was nothing. This was my grocery store for more than 10 years with no issues. Can something be done about it?

Clean, organized, and every staff member we asked for item locations, were polite, informative, and productively working. As a professional sale coordinator and merchandiser, I was very impressed with the stores Moral. Best location in Bakersfield as far as I'm concerned.

My family and I went yesterday night. The produce and meat were stocked to the brim and over all the store was very clean. My husband and I saw pumpkins for our babies and they were very beautiful and ripe, so we had to buy one for each of them 😍 I'd say over all the store is a 4 out of 5. Staff there are very friendly and overall this store seems very family oriented. Definitely go for there tri tip when they have it on sale, which is rn👍 😀

I had to return spoiled chicken I had picked up less then 30 mins later and when the back end guy took my spoiled chicken he set it on the corndogs... I give them 3 stars because at least they swapped out the chicken and as long as you don't buy meat there you're probably good

They price match other stores deal! Today, I saved $22.21. I don't have to look for great deal store to store thank to them I go buy muy groceries on one place only. IT'S MY ONLY STORE TO BY MY GROCERIES. I'M SO SO HAPPY!!!!!

This store had the longest lines. To make things worse, when you get up to the check out the cashiers and manager waste your time and hold up lines by running their mouths rather than assisting customers, doing their jobs and keeping their nose to the grindstone during busy times. The manager over there wants to yell at and threaten customers that are sore and tired from standing in his long lines. Why go here? Lines are too long, employees are the opposite of customer friendly, and the prices aren't even very good.

Go here if you enjoy witnessing crime. Witnessed a truck hit a shopping cart which then hit another vehicle. Watched the 2 women laugh about it in their truck. Then I witnessed the employee named Jason kick some homeless guy out of the store while he was trying to charge himself at the self-checkout for a 2L Shasta Cola. The employee named Jason took his soda out of his hands and I saw he had a dollar in his other hand while he cancelled the transaction. When I asked him if he took the homeless guy's money, he went on to shout at me. Apparently Jason's saving up for retirement with all the homeless peoples change he keeps jacking.

They have good deals. Even when it gets really busy it’s always pleasant to shop here. The cashiers are friendly and fast. Keep in mind the lines take a bit longer because you bag your own groceries and some people like to take their time.

Love shopping at this store since it offers most items at a reasonable lower price compare to other stores. The store tends to be clean for the most part, and items are normally kept well stock. Staff is nice and helpful when needed. The morning is the best time to shop to avoid the large crowds, but a few cashiers are on hand so please be patient.

The staff is super friendly. Have been shopping at this store for well over 18 yrs I've come to know most of the employees throughout the yrs. They have done unbelievable things for my kids and my especially after I lost my mom. I will not shop at a different grocery store.

Good prices. Clean and well stocked if you come during "regular" hours. Come overnight and it might be messy with a lot of people hanging out in the parking lot. Biggest fault is they rarely have enough people at the registers. Sometimes two registers open age the lines stretch back 10 people or more.

Very big. Early morning is good not packed. But evening is the worst time. They never have enough registers open, so lines are super long but self checkout is cool. The remodel looks nice too. Staff is friendly and ready to help.

Good produce and meat departments. Clean. Same problem at this store as all the others, they keep moving items around, (frozen foods, meat and produce, always the same) so I am always shopping instead of buying. I'd prefer to B line to what I need and be done. Other than that, I like it, one of best grocery stores on east side Bksfld.

When you’re on the east side of Bakersfield this is a nice and clean grocery store. The parking lot has easy access for parking and pulling in from the street. It’s pretty much a typical FoodMaxx and layed out like the rest. The carts are older and some just need to be replaced with newer ones. After walking through the front doors the first isle is very welcoming with stocked shelves of the sales items. The produce is typically good I have had some bad vegetables and not known until I got ready to cook but I guess that’s not too bad. The store generally feels clean and well maintained. The shelves are stocked throughout the day which is nice. If I’m only purchasing a few items I enjoy the “self checkout” area. All in all the staff is helpful when asking where items are and friendly at checkout. Only 4 stars because of the location!

Open up another register. I’ve been taking my money somewhere else because I’m not going to wait and let my cold grocery’s go bad. I timed it once and it took 30 minutes just in the line does not include the time I took to shop. This place needs to take care of the customer

Foodmax always has some good deals, I almost always get or find what I need in the store. The only thing is waiting in lines to check out, always long and takes awhile. Customer service is pretty good, just wish they would sanitize the running belt that rolls the food to you, alot more often. And when asked if you want a bag at least let us know how much they will charge for them.

They are currently doing a remodel which will definitely make it look more contemporary. Beer cooler upgrade was nice. They have everything at decent prices and are open 24/7 so it's hard to go anywhere else.

Who closes self checkout at 7:30? Stupid decision with the line stretching back to the dairy aisle. This place is the Walmart of grocery chains.

For a discount supermarket, the prices on meat are just a bit higher than the big box W. The other items two items I bought were twice the price of other discount stores for the same quality. Overall the store was clean. The line was really long. Not enough cashiers for the volume of customers.

Great selections with the best prices! The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The best part is that they DO NOT violate my civil rights for not wearing a mask. Good job!
