It's such a beautiful place to visit. It is a small stretch of beach with relaxing beach space if you are looking to have a fun filled family adventure this will suite your needs.... not to mention that there's an aquarium here too that is nice and affordable. The park that surrounds the aquarium has barbecue pits and a playground... Safe travels......

A perfect refreshment, this beach awaited us at the other end of our bike ride on the Bob Jones Trail. Parked the bikes, and put our feet in the ocean, then topped off our "break" with shave ice for the kids.

Avila Beach Park is perfect for picnics. Perfect for kids. The park is adjacent to the beach. Jan 20, 2023, the beach was thrashed by winter storms. Itis covered with gravel, though currently in repair and clean up mode. All shops and cafes open. The beaches to the north are in excellent shape.

Such a cute Beach! It's never crowded but just enough people to do some great people watching. The nearby town has great restaurants a wonderful Thursday Farmers Market and a great grocery store. Be sure to take a blanket it can get cold having a picnic on this beach is always a great peaceful experience.

A really nice place to go for the weekend! The beach is clean, no tar on your feet, nice shops and eateries along the promenade. Get there early for a good parking spot!

We absolutely love coming here. Massive beach area and walking distance to a bunch of shops and restaurants, coffee shops and ice cream spots. Parking can be cumbersome to find best to arrive early or mid day. We spent an average of 4 hours here with our grand daughter there are two different playgrounds within the park.

Easy access No motor vehicles on sand is great. Public restrooms. Shops and restaurants but no fresh food or groceriesDownside is beach is literally a dog park (but people seem to pick up. I hope).Long stretch of parking alongside the beach

Great park by the beach. Plenty of parking at $6. The boardwalk was nice and there are plenty of places to shop and eat. It was clean and there was shade. The Aquarium is nearby. It was closed during our visit.

This would have gotten 5 except the bathrooms smelled so bad it was nearly impossible to use them. I got sick to my stomach trying to use them and had to give up. However, the rest of the beach is great. Nice benches and promenade. We had a child with us so the two parks, one right off the beach and one right on the sand, were great. Had we not had a child with us, there were lots of wine bars to pick from.

Beautiful beach with quaint shops along the water. You can walk your dogs on the beach before 10am. Most people have their dogs off the leash and it makes it fun to watch the dogs meet and greet each other. The beach is always clean, dog owners are good about picking up after their pups. Just a really pleasant beach. Laid back and always beautiful views, rain or shine.

This was such a fun experience! I go to Avila Beach a lot just to hang out by the beach, but there is so much more than just sand and the ocean. There is a small play park for little kids next to the beach if you have a toddler. There are swings for young and older people in the sand. I would definitely go here if you haven't!!

I really do like this beach.But, they do need to clean the beach more often. Seaweed and trash attracts to many flies.

Beautiful beach with soft sand. We only stayed for maybe two hours. I wish there had been more offerings for shops and food at the beach. But I did enjoy the playground and appreciated the restrooms. Was a great family day for my 18 month old, hubby, and myself.

Love the beach I just wish there was more parking. The one little parking lot is not enough especially on holidays. I don't even mind having to walk the distance to the beach I just wish I didn't have to drive around for an hour stalking cars hoping one will leave so I can grab the parking space. Other than that I love the beach I love there is a spot toddlers can swim and play on the water without worrying about the huge waves

Probably the best beach there is. It's small, quiet, clean and awesome! Too bad the pier is closed but still it is amazing to go around and shop and grab a coffee and play at the park and go to the aquarium!
