We received excellent care and quality work done on our van. While returning home from San Diego, we felt a wobble in our front tires. We called Tom’s auto repair and got him on the phone. He helped us to understand the severity of our vans condition. He diagnosed Friday evening what needed to be done. He even gave us a ride to a hotel nearby! Tom worked all day Saturday to get us back on the road. Highly recommend this auto repair shop!!

Tom met me at 10pm when my van was towed in to his shop!!!Not only that, but his service was incredible.He explained each step to be taken, ran a diagnostic and showed me the evidence of the problem.My radiator had to be replaced. I trust Tom and his apprentice completely.My husband was greatly relieved when I was safely on the road, again.Much thanks to Tom.100% confidence in him!God bless.

We got stranded with a flat tire mid way from LA to SF and needed to replace all 4 tires and make it there by 8 pm. We explored our options and after calling a few places in the area the decision was clear. Tom called us back multiple times, went and got the exact tires we needed, changed and balanced all 4 tires in an hour. Aside from being a great and very fast mechanic he was very polite and assuring. Top of the line professionalism and all around good folks, we broke down on the way up to Oregon and these folks got us back up and running quickly and affordably. They drove out to our hotel and picked up the car and took care of everything with consistent updates as to the issue at hand and the plans moving forward. 10/10

Thomas is a lifesaver! Driving back from San Francisco to Phoenix, we started feeling our car vibrate. We searched for a tire/repair shop and this one showed up. It turned out whoever installed our tires over inflated them to dangerous levels and they were irreparably damaged. He got us fixed up with new tires, and back on the road (safely) in under an hour (and technically after closing time). He even called about an hour later to check in and make sure everything was running smoothly. This kind of service is what sets you apart in the industry.

Tom is literally the nicest mechanic you could ever ask for :) He made me feel better about the most stressful and stupid mistake I’ve ever made and repaired my car in half the estimated time. He was kind enough to make sure everything went okay at the gas station after the service on my engine and texted to make sure we finished our trip okay. I couldn’t recommend Tom and his team any more! They stayed late for us to fix my car starting at 9pm on a Wednesday which is very rare for the area and he gave us recommendations of where to eat on the street. Best experience I’ve ever had with an auto repair shop, hands down! There is a fun “dollar store” across the street if you need to kill time plus some good Mexican restaurants.

Tom helped my family and I get back on the road when my alternator went bad! We were 2 hours in our 11 hour drive when our car had issues in the middle of no where. This was by far the best customer experience of my girlfriend or my life. We broke down in the middle of nowhere and the insurance company couldn't get anyone to get a tow truck to us. We called Tom's and they called around for us (this was like 12AM) to people they knew in the area and found someone. They looked at it in the middle of the night and there were several huge problems e.g. oil completely covering the bottom of the car etc. so they drove us to a hotel (there are no Ubers there), and worked on the car and got it turned around in a couple of days on the weekend, despite a ton of work needing to be done.Tom was super up-front about every cost, always gave options, and took pictures and videos of everything to show us and document what was going on. It turned out that our existing garage had screwed something major up and he was able to explain that to us through videos so that we could get our money back when we got back home (we were able to get our money back only because of the proof from these videos).Besides all of that, Tom may be the nicest person I've ever met. Super straightforward, kind, and considerate person. We will genuinely never forget this experience. It could have been the worst kind of disaster and ended up somehow being great. I have never done a review before but Tom was honestly so amazing that I had to. Last week my front wheel had a blow out car near Kettleman at midnight while I was making it down to SoCal. The car I have does not have a spare and it has a relatively hard to find tire. I called Tom and he was wonderful. At 1 am he searched to see if he had the tire and helped find a solution. He was very communicative and explained his reasoning for the steps he took to help me. In the end he had me back on the road and even after everything was completed he called to make sure I was okay. If I could give more than five stars I truly would.

I was on a cross country moving trip when I received a flashing engine light and error code that made it clear I couldn't drive my car any further without risking serious damage. It was almost 5pm, in Huron, CA, in the middle of a long stretch of the 5 with not much around. I was certain I was going to be stranded, with my kids and all of our pets and nowhere to go.I called Tom and he quickly diagnosed the most likely causes of the problem and set to getting parts delivered right away. He came out to me to confirm the issue as we waited for the tow truck, and after I was towed, he stayed open (past 9pm!) and got me back on the road that same night. Problems fixed, and Tom even texted the next morning to make sure I got home alright.Super knowledgable, super friendly - just the best. Would for sure make have Tom as my regular mechanic if I wasn't nearly 200 miles away.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Auto maintenance

My partner's VW Jetta check engine (EPC) light suddenly came on while we were halfway through a drive from LA to the Bay Area last Saturday. Tom was the nearest mechanic to us off I-5 so we rerouted to his shop. He helped us immediately and we were back on the road in 25 mins! Tom also gave us a lot of pointers based on the Jetta's mileage. Highly recommend.

After 2 different tow companies (including Triple AAA) gave me the runaround and being left stranded on the 5 highway for 3 hours I called Tom's and the owner (Tom) got a tow truck to me in less than 30 mins and got my car to his shop. He was able to diagnose my car even though it was way past his shop's closing time and got me back on the road quickly and swiftly. I have never had such a good experience at an auto repair shop, Tom even lent me a ride when I couldn't find any Ubers/Lyfts. Such a nice & helpful guy.

My car broke overheated on the I-5 on a Friday and I got a tow to Tom's for a diagnostic check. Car was fully inoperable and I had to continue on for a wedding, but Tom offered to hold onto the car until the end of the weekend when I could arrange transport back home. A couple carriers fell through, but Tom still held onto the car for a few more days until I could arrange for transportation. Five days later he helped coordinate the shipment to get my car back home. Very appreciative of his service and willingness to accommodate.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Fantastic service; hit the mother of all potholes on i5 back from socal in December and my front right tire had a huge bubble. This was at 8:30 PM, so most tire shops would be closed, but not Toms! He was only a few minutes away from where this happened, and he happened to have a tire in stock that fit my uncommon tire size. His 24H service rates do increase a bit after "normal" business hours (and is cash only after hours,) but it was well worth it to pay him vs finding a motel and getting home the next day instead that night. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes, all the while we were chatting and getting to know each other. Genuinely a great guy, reasonable, and reliable! If I ever hit that pothole again, I'll know who to go to!Service: Tires

I was driving back up home to Northern California from visiting family in San Diego when I pulled off the freeway to get some gas. While I was at the gas station I noticed an odd sound coming from my car, so my boyfriend looked under the hood and noticed a belt was almost completely gone. It was already almost 5:30, and being in the middle of COVID-19, many repair shops were already closed or almost closed for the day. I called Tom's and Tom Jr said they closed at 6 but that we were only about 5 miles away and that if I couldn't make it to the shop they could send someone out to look at my car. Thankfully my car made it to his shop just in time. He worked quickly to try to get me back on the road that night, but unfortunately the damage was worse than I had originally thought and the parts I needed wouldn't be available until the following morning. Tom Jr told us that the only hotel in town wasn't too safe, so he told us he could drive us to the next town to stay in the Motel 6 and he could fix my car first thing in the morning then come pick us up. He closed up shop and drove myself, my boyfriend, AND our two dogs to the motel and even waited until we were all checked in before he left for home. Tom Jr was so friendly and personable, and he seems like such a genuine guy. He fixed my car for such a reasonable price, I was actually relieved when he told me the cost because I was expecting it to be way higher. I am so grateful for Tom Jr and his dad Tom Sr(he helped find the source of the car problem) and I cannot thank them enough for taking us in last minute and driving us to the motel. If you're traveling through the area and have a car emergency definitely give them a call! I wish I lived closer because I would totally have them be my regular mechanic if I didn't live 7 hours away!Thanks Tom Jr and Tom Sr! You guys are the best!

Tom is an incredible human! Not only did he come with his own tow dolly to get us off the highway when he found out his tow truck driver was out of town for another 5 hours after we were stranded...he got us to his shop ..tried to fix the problem ...it was bigger than we thought. He then offered to drive us 45 min to get a rent a car..to no avail..then....drove us 15 miles back to our hotel and let us leave the truck until we could have it hauled home on back of a car hauler..Tom even offered to tow it 750 miles to our house for us but we had already made easier on all of us arrangements. We are forever grateful to have found Tom in the middle of nowhere where we broke down...SUPER HERO STATUS! CAPE AND ALL.. hes honest ..trustworthy and kind..Thank you Tom:)

This shop is absolutely amazing. My mom and I broke down on I5 heading north to Redding. Got a tow to this shop and so happy we did. Had to wait until morning for a part to come in and the owner drove us himself to the next town, about 20 miles, to our hotel then returned the next morning to pick us up. When he came to pick us up he had already repaired the car and got us back in the road. The owner was so nice and stayed in consistent contact with us giving us updates while he fixed the vehicle and even talked to my step -dad , who was in redding, on the phone to explain what was going on. My moving truck clutch went out on a trip from LA. Truck was taken to this shop and I was told $1800 to replace the clutch, which I agreed to. When picked up the truck was hard to get into gear. The truck made it an hour away and the clutch went out again. They told me they would not tow it back and repair it. I have since had it inspected by another shop only to find the clutch was installed incorrectly and bolts that hold the transmission to the the engine were left loose and 2 were even missing. Tom was extremely helpful when my wife was stranded by a bad fuel pump. He provided transportation to a hotel, and scoured the area for a replacement pump that could be gotten quickly. Great service!
