Best hidden gem on Catalina Island!! So glad I ran into this spot. Amazing food, fast service with GREAT prices, and they give tab water (rare on this island)! There's also ample outdoor seating with a premium harbor view. Get the combo it comes with a free side! The sauces are also super delicious 😋 this is gonna be my go to food spot when coming to Catalina Island.

Great fish and chips. Everyone who visits the island comes here so it's really touristy and isn't necessarily the best deal, but it's fun to go here and watch ships at sea, enjoy the scenery, and chow down on some classic fish and chips. The guys there told me they traditionally eat it with malt vinegar.

Eat here, save money! Great food. Fast service. Nice guys. Enjoy!Everyone loved the fish sandwich, Buffalo Wings and the fish taco.The chili cheese fries were awesome too. It's on the pier and they have a canopy to eat in the shade.

Very disappointed. The view and the long line are deceptive. You will pay more for less. Serving size is small. I got fish and chips. They are the smallest fish I've ever seen. They were from a frozen bag which I could forgive if it had been cold or some other good fish but it wasn't. At least we had a nice discussion as to which cheap frozen fish was used. It was wasn't even beer battered. While waiting I could over hear the cashier constantly tell people they were out of items they wanted to order or something else wrong. It was about 2PM. Anyway, I couldn't finish the fish it was bad.

Do not eat here. This place has been renamed. It was formerly Earl & Rosie's Seafood. The sign on the building still has this name. It is the last eatery on the pier. All of the seafood is "fresh from the freezer." There are so many better options off the pier but not very far away. Along with the french fries, none of the food is seasoned and it's very bland. The big green building at the end of the pier is tempting but deceptive. The food is not good, periodt.

The clam chowder was very good at a decent price. The fish tacos at $4 each were good as well, and cheaper than the competitors down the pier. Overall this quaint little place was well worth the visit.

Do not recommend this place has the worst customer service. My husband and I went there ordered fish and chips and poke we were over charged $8.00 and when we told them they said no I asked for lemon and the guy up front told me to say please I was shocked!! We told them to give us our money back we were not going to eat there after all that. Good thing we didn't the fish looked like fish sticks.

I've been going here since I was a kid & always loved the fish & chips - first thing I do when I get to the island! But I must say, the batter on the fish the past 2 visits (today & 4 years ago) are no where as good as they used to be. Needs to be lighter/fluffier, more tempura-like texture. Although the fish you have is always good, they look more like fish sticks now! C'mon guys - someone there must remember how you USED to make them...

Clam chowder in sourdough bowl was tasty and filling. Calamari was sliced calamari steak breaded. I would suggest trying it. Not a premium seafood place, but good place to grab a bite to eat.

FRESH FROM THE FREEZERPlease do not eat here. This place is deceptive. Nothing is fresh it's just cheap frozen food. That's over priced for the tourist.My fish and chips was so fresh from the freezer it was still dripping water.

Not fancy, but very fresh. Try the Catch of the Day Fish Tacos! They're small, so you can probably eat 2, 3 or 4. Maybe more because they're good!!

In A Nutshell:-Avalon Seafood, which is located on the small boardwalk is a RIP-OFF.-The clams strips w/ fries should be renamed "Mostly Some Fries & Thinly Spread Clamstrips".-Take a look at the photos and you can see for yourself that this isn't worth $17 each order.Overall, the owners need to add 200% more clamstrips to make it worth while, hell I don't care if you use frozen clamstrips, JUST ADD MORE or LOWER YOUR PRICE to $7 each.
