Even for Catalina Island it was a small spot for a liquor store. Selections were very limited and overpriced. We were talking with the locals about it and they said it's best to BYOB. We'll be back to the Island soon but this time we'll stock up in Long Island. Turns out a lot of visitors do.

I was sitting outside the store on a bench with my husband when one of the employees came outside for a smoke break. With no shame, he started a conversation with a customer who was also standing outside and said some pretty racist and offensive things before putting out his cigarette on the ground and going back inside to work. This gist of his remarks was that he was glad he had a job now where he wasn’t forced to be nice to black people like he was at his last job. (I won’t repeat his exact words or the full extent of his comments.) The customers he made the remarks to started laughing awkwardly about it a few minutes later after he was back inside and joked that they had no idea why would say racist things to them. We ended up going to a different convenience store for the drinks and snacks we were looking to purchase.

There are several inexpensive and accessible alcoholic beverages available at this wine store. Pastries, macaroons, and craft beer are also available. Compared to any other wine shop in the city, their staff is the friendliest and most accommodating. Additionally, their prices are really reasonable. I'd be sure to pass along my recommendation to everyone I know!

Crooks.... Made a $20 purchase and decided to add a bag of chips on a new order. Both cashiers stated that I had to make a new $10 purchase to use my card. I recommend that you walk the extra few feet to purchase from Vons down the street.

Avoid at all costs. Worker here is terribly rude. Wouldnt sell to me because said my id was fake but its clearly real. He was to scared to scan it. Terrible customer service.

Found what we were looking for.... guiness and Samuel Smith chocolate porter. The only thing missing. Dragons milk bourbon barrel aged stout. Found that on tap at CC Ghallagher
