I went to the sandwich counter and couldn’t find a single base price listed and asked what the biggest option they have is and the bigger lady Kate said 6 inches is all they have so I made a measurement from hand to hand showing what I thought was six inches and she made a sexual reference about my you know what to my girlfriend like I’m not even here? literally most awkward experience I’ve had in a grocery store after I brushed off her unwarranted rude reply I ended up with a sandwich that cost 9$ for a single leaf of lettuce and a slice of tomato and a little bit of bacon. Shout out to Liz the little lady with light hair she was very sweet.

Save Mart is my go-to store and has been for years. Seems to retain good and helpful staff including Butchers and Bakery staff. I always see staff restocking things too. Prices are good, especially with coupons and rewards. Location is great as well with everything that's in this shopping center. This center has food to pharmacy. Clothes to cigarettes. It's all in here.

I went to the self checkout and noticed that I did not get the SALE prices as advertised. I asked a clerk and a bagger for help niether could have cared less. They rudely said I needed the app whereas I asked for help until I could download the app since people were waiting behind me. They said that was no one was attending the self checkout because they had her stocking instead and they couldn't do anything for me even though neither one of them had any customers. So I left all the groceries there for someone to restock. Why do we have to download an app to be a part of a club discount instead of just being able to use a phone number as other stores? Just horrible customer service.Thanks for nothing you RACIST POS!!

I recently found Save Mart and I’m a fan! My family and I moved from the Bay Area to Foresthill and now our grocery store options are slim!! Everything is expensive everywhere, no matter what you’re shopping for. I appreciate the location of this store and their friendly staff. I came here to write this review because of Doug, he is awesome! He is always smiling and friendly, conversational and helpful! I dislike all grocery store apps. (including this store’s) because they’re just too inconvenient but I know if I go with Doug he will make sure all the possible coupons have applied. I appreciate him!! Five for $25 is a great deal too.

Great staff on hand, helpful and fast courteous checkout with 4 self checkout lanes and 1 15 items or less check stand which all are always open no matter the time of day or night. They also call for back up cashiers immediately if there is 2 in line with 1 being checked out for faster express check out for a total of 3 customers. I’ve never had to wait long they always have plenty of cashiers.

My 1st visit & I had a very short, specific shopping list so this will not be an in-depth overall review.PROStore is attractive & clean. Looks appealing.Checker was very friendly, helpful & efficient.CONThe signage is a bit hard to read.Not much staff on floor & 1 woman didn't acknowledge me; even though I was clearly searching & asked for help.Shelves seemed to be disorganized:Looking for a specific chip [nephew's favorite, on sale, & I had 2 coupons]; I went up & down the aisle 2x, but didn't see even a shelf label. The store has a lot of stand-alone & end cap displays so I wandered a bit & found it on the next aisle with a couple other varieties. If it was just a question of no more room, ok; but actually about 1/5 of the chip shelves was wine. [Wine in a snack aisle?]Looking for bottled water: Looked on aisles marked as soda; sports drinks; snacks. Finally found them on shelves against the back wall, not marked, past the meat counter. 3 or 4 aisles away from any other beverages.I'll go back if there's a really good sale, AND I have the time to play treasure hunt.

I feel this sums up the over all experience at this savemart. There was no greeting or welcome. I felt I was inconveniencing any employee I was near (with six feet distancing). Wasn't even thanked for coming after making my purchase. Store was trashy inside and out. There is a reason there is a sign saying help wanted because they are in need of some serious help. Don't think I will be coming back.

If you’re up for paying more money than you would at Whole Foods for half foods then Save Mart is the mart for you. Sinceriously, it’s unbelievable, the mark ups here. Sure, you’ll find yourself a deal on a 64 pack of Dr. Pepper, but unless you consume 300% of your daily recommended value of sugar you’re likely not shopping for soda. 20 bucks for salami rolled cheese in the deli. I call for the name to be withdrawn immediately. Pay Mart. Or Cough It Up Mart. I’m open to new name suggestions.Look, if you live around the corner and need a snack then maybe. But actually, no. Because just around the next corner is Grocery Outlet Bargain Market. So there is zero reason to shop here unless you have little to no regard for your pocketbook or your self respect. Lies, I say. Save Mart. Enough already.3 stars to allow for the people who work here to be very nice and at least soften the sledge hammer to your dome at the register. But my god, is nothing sacred anymore? Sheesh.

Favorite grocery store. Especially the meat department. Good quality and good prices with very helpful butchers. Still the best place to shop in Auburn.My only complaint is lately, I notice errors on my reciept when I get home. Wrong produce item rung up and such. Had pears keyed in as apples, same price, but also had tomatoes on the vine rung up as hot house. That did cost me extra.

As far as grocery stores go, this one is in a convenient location which makes it a easy spot to stop into to pick up necessities.The store is usually well staffed and lines are kept relatively short, and there are a good number of self-checkouts for small orders.This Save Mart is also generally very well stocked, and I’m almost always able to find what I’m looking for, even if it’s a less common item.

I can never get help from anyone in the Auburn CA store. I’ve moved to Auburn almost 2 years ago and during the time I’ve been here the service has continued to decay. Employees avoid eye contact and NEVER ask if you need help I now drive a further distance to avoid Save Mart and continue on to Raleys which is farther away (but we’ll worth the extra couple of miles). GOOD BYE SAVE MART!

I stopped in to get a birthday cake for my husband and grabbed a butter finger ice cream cake from the bakery. I really had low expectations but it turned out fantastic! It tasted amazing! It met expectations of what I would have expected from a higher end all bakery establishment. Will definitely visit again when I need a cake.

Came in to buy my team a couple of gift cards for their hard work. I use a business debit card and have never had an issue at any other Save Mart up and down the valley. When I put my pin in supposedly it kept coming up as a credit card and they refused to sell to me stating it was “illegal”. It is definitely not illegal and before you lie to someone learn the difference between law and company policy. I’d rather hear the truth than lies. If it is company policy why do I not have issues at any other Save Mart? Sounds like poor culture and training at this store.

New mgmt obviously prioritizing profits over service. Prices used to be better than the others, but no more. As bad or worse than Raleys now. Employees were never the the best, but seem unhappy and even less friendly now since the buyout

I found everything I needed. I was greeted by a young lady as I was entering the store. I had to ask a location for what I need. The young lady was sharp , fast, quick directions taking me to the exact spot. Everything in the store was organized and shelf's were stocked and had a good selection. It's nice to know there are still places to shop where the employees care about your satisfaction. I was very pleased with this visit, I have yet to experience any problems shopping here. The isles were clean, check out was fast with no hassles. Overall this is a great store for a quick in and gone or to run the isles and fill the cart. And I felt the prices were fair, I have reviewed others and have seen first hand, how you can be overcharged. I was happy with my visit. I will be back .

I have lived in Auburn for the last six years. The Save Mart on Elm is the closest to my home. Almost every single time I shop there I end up feeling alienated or just plain angry after my interactions with the cashiers. They almost never acknowledge me as a paying customer. Back before we all wore masks they didn't smile. They have discussed private items that I am buying. I even had one cashier insult me over buying liquor. He didn't know it but it was my birthday even though he checked my ID. Tonight is my last night in Auburn. I haven't been able to find one of my cats so I had to stay an extra night to locate her. Having packed my entire home and refrigerator I was hungry and needed to grab something to eat and get some extra cat food. I am tired I am achy and I just needed to grab a few things and get out of save Mart before anyone insulted me or made me upset. Having only grabbed a couple of things I used one of their hand baskets. Without noticing much because again I'm tired , I set the basket on the conveyor belt. As the cashier unpacked the basket with some pretty obvious anger. I looked back to see a stack of baskets where other people had unpacked their baskets and therefore the cashier didn't have to deal with the customer baskets. If I had noticed I would have unpacked my basket, it's not a big deal. But her attitude towards such a minimal offense set me off. I told her that the cashiers have always been snarky and that I'm glad that I'm moving out of Auburn and I will never ever be back to another Save Mart. to the managers of the Save Mart in Auburn - I encourage you to choose better people for your cashiers they all have terrible attitudes they discuss personal things with each other while they are checking, they need a serious attitudeadjustment. I asked a lady for something, and she was too buy flirting with a 20 year old (she's about 50) I told her what I was doing, she said "what are you talking about!?" I said already told you, if you had listened, but you were busy" her "idk, go to the bakery"What the heck. I will be calling Corporated.

I was shopping in SaveMart which is always a pleasure but today was made more special by a young man in the Deli section of the store named Jacob. He did not hesitate when I asked if someone could cut up a rotisserie chicken for me. Within minutes it was done and he was just so polite. I wanted someone to know what an exceptional young man he was. Thank you.

The store is clean. There​ is room to push the cart around, they didn't overcrowd everywhere. The people are friendly and helpful. They seem to be educated, unlike some stores where the staff is less than bright. The meats didn't have a crazy amount of fats all over them.ANDThe prices seemed to be less than or equal to the competition!

Save Mart is a good grocery store. They have an amazing bakery and deli! Best donuts and sandwiches. The checkers are nice too. I have a secret crush on one of them! 😎 The produce section is always neat, fresh and well stock. The floral section is full of great items from single Rose's, to full bouquets to beautiful potted plants. The meat section is top notch and there is always someone there to help if you have a question.

Too much of their food is bad when purchased.Been throwing away a lot of food lately. Don't buy brussel sprouts in a bag. I had six good and seven bad, twice. their club soda brand is really good,but I get several cans with blown out bottoms and more than several times cans that are completely empty. That's save Mart's brand. Been going to Bel Aire have much better luck there.. luv the employees at save Mart though, they are the best 😊

Absolute worst grocery store in Auburn. Other than location from a convenience standpoint there’s no point in not driving the extra exit to a better established facility. Half the time they don’t give you baskets because they say people had stolen them. They hide the self-serve bags because apparently $.10 was some thing that people were stealing. So either the facility is a ghetto environment or its the most poorly run mismanaged grocery store in Northern California
