Tried Safeway delivery which is new for my area. Great service - ordered on Friday and was offered same day delivery even though the store is bout 30.minutes drive away. Delivery charge was minimal. I chose next day morning and it was delivered on time.Very few stores offer delivery to my town in the foothills - thank you Safeway!

This place has an extensive selection of food and beverages, as well as a full-service pharmacy. I was particularly impressed with the beer, wine, and liquor selection. On the 3rd of July with the place packed, check out was fast.Just went again (this time mid afternoon on a Thursday in August). I only went to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription. It's clear that the key to a quick trip is to make sure your doctor has contacted the pharmacy and that the prescription is ready before going to the store.I've lowered my rating by a star due to some outrageous prices I noticed during the short time I was there.

I waited 20 minutes in line at the customer service counter behind a single person, I only wanted to get a few stamps because it was late out. The employee talked with the person in front of me for the whole 20 minutes and once it was my turn she put the close sign on the counter fully knowing I was next in line. The worst thing of all they were just talking, the employee wasn't helping the person in front of me they only talked for 20 minutes. I tried to call the employee over several times only to see them avoid me and duck their head. Complete waste of my time, and I now know why my wife doesn't even bother coming here. Customer service sucks, and I hope that no one reading this will go there just to have their time unruly wasted.

I shop Safeway weekly have a very large family and spend about $450 to $500 every week but I'm letting you know Safeway that this review will be one or less if you continue to sell Tyson food products and we'll take my money elsewhere thank you for your great customer service

The cleanest store and the best employees like Brett & Tim in meats and seafood can met and exceceed your needs to Kimmy in liquor was a Ski resort Bartender who knows her liquor to Lisa, Brenda.Tom and so many more that can answer even a crazy question with a smile.

It's a nice, big store. I always find everything I need. They have a big bakery/deli section. The down-side is the long lines. There never seems to be enough checkers.At least this location has two restrooms next to the Starbucks, inside.

This location has superior baked goods, produce and flowers. I love to come here after work and get treats and food to bring home for the family.The curbside service is fast, friendly and convenient. Really appreciate these essential workers. You give me groceries that we transform into family meals. Thank you. Much appreciated.

Much better this time. Sale items that I wanted were in stock. Found some good deals that I wasn't looking for too. Sale prices are amazing on some items. They even beat Wallyworld and the staff is much friendlier and more helpful.

This is a good, clean and well stocked store.They have lots of hard to find items,the produce department is second to none in this town. The prices can run on the high side,but if you join the "club" you can save pretty heavy on certain items. Open late and the staff is friendly, knowledgeable and on point. Overall it's a great store,just keep an eye on the fluctuating prices.

Safeway is normally my go to place. Today not so much. There deli needs help in there management. After waiting by the hot deli case I received no help. I asked 3 people if there was a different line. I got a I don't know i think and the last one is a young guy who said whomever gets you. Then he looked past me and took someone who just walked up.

Way overpriced, but at least it's close to home as opposed to Walmart/Winco/Sam's Club, etc down the hill. Parking is often a nightmare but I guess it's all about timing since everyone and their mother seems to shop here... which makes walking down the extremely narrow aisles even more of a pain. Also, the restrooms here are atrocious-- I suggest staff maybe come up with a schedule for hourly cleaning if they haven't already. Literally came in here last week and the entire single-user restroom floor was covered in urine. Gross. Only giving this place 1 star because the desserts and alcohol selection are pretty good and well-priced. For everything else, I'm shopping elsewhere.

It's a nice store. The prices are very high for regular items like milk, meat, and cheese but very reasonable for things like flowers. Very large freezer section. That's honestly mostly all I buy there, and flowers for when the couch starts to feel uncomfortable.

This place is super busy. It's a good store but all the surrounding stores have better prices. The deli here is below par. They never have enough people working and it takes forever to get one item, and it's food is 15% too expensive. They don't have a ticket machine to let employees know who was there first. They have many self checkout lanes but they don't accept cash anymore. They won't explain why if you ask. It gets backed up because there isn't always someone to help the old people who struggle to use the simple to use registers. Employees here are not friendly or polite and would rather avoid you instead of helping. They do a semi good job at keeping the shelves full compared to neighboring Target. Target is rhe worst store in US history at keeping shelves stocked. A chimp could do better then the warehouse manager at Target. So stick with Safeway or Smart and Final or Bel Air. The biggest positive is the booze selection and availability.

I have always thought Safeway was a really great store in Auburn, it had better prices and the same selection as the Bel air down the street....until I went yesterday...and the whole store reeked like fish....and I went to look for a few items that are not specialty items...they didn't have 3 things I was looking for....and I went to buy a 12 pack of Sprite and it was $13 for a 12 pack....I went to Bel-Air and found the items I was looking for and the 12 pack of Sprite was only $7.... I was blown away....I won't be going back anytime soon...I'll try again in a few months to see if things have turned around...plus I really like the sushi station at Safeway....hope that doesn't go bad too...

I can't really blame Safeway for charging more since they aren't buying random stuff like Grocery Outlet or operating like WinCo to offer the best grocery deals in the region. Their focus is quality and it's not too expensive compared to the next tier (the dreaded Whole Foods and Nugget Markets price gougers).Check out the deals available through their app. The first online pickup offer can save you about $35.The deli is the best part and you can get a good combo deal for lunch or even dinner ($9 in 2023 for 1 entree, 2 sides).The pharmacy has been helpful for free vaccines. They handled walk-ins.They also have some fairly exotic fruits and vegetables available to try out and overall their fruit and veggie section is suitable for most culinary purposes.

The employees here at the Safeway are always so helpful and I find it interesting that they have more product knowledge than the employees at Home Depot! LolThe prices are reasonable. You get to help that you need and they still have baggers to bag your groceries. Sounds like an overall win to me! Lol

I went just to get the holiday sale on the 8 piece fried chiken . the two gentlemen at the counter were freindly and polite . got my order of 8 pc. 4 drums 4 thighs right on hot and crispy . i asked can i pay here its the deli right . no sir over there , the fairly busy check out lines but reasonable . did the self check ( not a big fan. ) but too longalready i got charged full price i put my number in it said member card accepted but it did not telll me no sale items . them being busy on the 4th it would a been frustrating to call assistance when i could right now already be on my way not still in safeway

Only needed Lucerne Belgian Chocolate Toffee Coffee creamer because our usual store didn't have it, and your store did. I bought 2 of them for my sister. Also needed canned pumpkin for my dogs digestion and you had 2 big cans.Had no problems at the store. Just went in and got my 3 items and got through the line quickly.

Shopped VERY late on a Friday night. My only complaint was that it was cold in the store, possibly due to a lot of restocking going on. I don't mind the boxes and activity of the stocking at all. Thanks to all at Safeway for the first rate job they are doing.

I love the food can't stop craving their selection. I always say the employee are so nice and the cashier is so nice and polite. They have the things you need for your cabinet 🗄️ and fridge. They also have good prices. They are so train on their staff at Starbucks inside Safeway. The Starbucks employee are so nice and they are well train on their drink. Like coffee ☕. Or anything that cold ❄️ or hot beverages.

This is the best grocery store in all of our! Super friendly staff and willing to go above and beyond to help you! The pharmacy is amazing as well this is where I get all my medications only because Si and Linda are the best those are the two pharmacist there and they are AMAZING! I recommend using their Pharmacy because they do it in a timely manner and they feel like family. I wish I can give more stars!
