My favorite bookstore!! I visit here every chance I get when I come home to visit my family! Best of the best and you can’t beat their prices. Staff are always super friendly and helpful. I can browse and bookshop to my hearts content without any interruptions. I usually come home with 20 plus books! The best part is that you are helping support a wonderful cause. Highly recommend!!

There is a large selection of everything except Y.A. here. There are a couple of bookcases with Y.A. But if you are into Romance/Horror/Mystery this is the place for you!!! Go there as fast as you can. Especially Romance if they don't have your book I would be shocked! Also, there are a ton of children's books too. And the money goes to a good cause so win win.

I’ve been going here for years and usually find the books I’m looking for. Recently their prices went up. Instead of $1 a book it’s now $1.50. Still decent. They are closed three days a week - Sun, Mon, and Tuesday. They have a huge selection of books and CD music. DVDs are $3 which is kind of high for used DVDs. I donate the books I’ve finished with to them as I think it’s a good cause. I hope they remain there for a long time to come.

I visited this store only twice to purchase used DVDs at discount prices in which all worked well, but some were in better condition than others. They have numerous DVDs in various categories. The store is located in a shopping mall with free parking, and the store is well organized with friendly volunteered workers. I would highly recommend it.

Love this place! Books for just $1! Most of the books are in great condition too. They have a great variety and the staff is very friendly. I love getting recommendations from them and checking out new authors. You will not be disappointed!

Great little used book shop, plenty of fodder for bookworms. They also have music and movies. Well organized, quiet, and reasonably priced. The world needs more little book shops like this. I will definitely be back :)

There is an incredible and varied selection of books. People donate wonderful books, which HSSF sells for $1 each (with a few exceptions for collectibles and sets). I always find something great when I go here. My wife and I also donate all of our surplus and no-longer needed books here because all sales benefit the local Humane Society.

I've been respectfully supporting and buying books from this book store for over 3yrs. I will never come back after being discriminated, humiliated, and even shamed for not being vaccinated. Even after i voiced that I am not vaccinated because of a medical exemption. I tried to give the cashier the benefit of a doubt and was very polite. The cashier than told me that shaming me publicly is what she believes in. I feel very discriminated against, it was inappropriate for her to force her beliefs on me. Very disappointed and will be avoiding this store for as long as i live. 😁🙌

This bookstore has an amazing selection of books (.50+), dvds ($3+), vhs (3 for $1), puzzles (.25+), audio books ($3+), greeting cards (.10+), well priced and amazing coffee table books, and More! Can't beat their prices! Very clean and extremely well organized, not to mention the friendly staff. Open seven days a week 10-6! Best of all, proceeds go the helping animals! Completely run by volunteers!

Just discovered this on a recent day trip to Auburn and will definitely be back whenever I'm in the area. All the books I got were only $1 each and they are organized by genre and author's name, so you can even find specific titles.

Couldn't loan out tap and release cages wouldn't take a homeless cat in. Animal control r a useless (job?) They made me angery. Didn't want to help with a nuisance cat either. Why r they there? Placer Co. Has no resources at all. Sac co. And Nevada Co. Is way better
