Overpriced. They advertise good sales on meat items, but they always run out of stock immediately and refuse to do any rain checks. Better customer service at Vons. Cheaper prices at Food4Less and Grocery Outlet. I don’t see any reason to shop here.

Actually became familiar with this store during the Covid shut-down, because they did a good job at keeping products on the shelves.Their produce section is pretty good and the prices are competitive. They also have a great frozen food selection here too.There are some good local wines in there wine area to choose from. They have a pretty good bakery selection too. All in all a great store to shop at.

Quality produce, good meat and bread selections, great prices. Not enough checkers for how busy they get though. Beer selection can be a bit limited, but there’s some good standbys and the prices are fair.

Standard grocery store format.Funnily they left up a 6 foot tall sign encouraging you to "pick any lane", when instead they funnel you into a single line, complete with an automated voice telling you which lane to go to - felt more like a Fry's

Great store to go to when you need items in bulk. Keep in mind, not everything is in large bulk. You can still buy regular groceries, and regular sized items for certain things.Sometimes some things are a little bit pricey, so I stay focused on a lot of their sale items. They have great cuts of me, that can be worth the price. Even more so when the meat is on sale.

Excellent store with great selection and good prices. Their chicken tends to be kinda tough, but the rest of their meats are wonderful. Excellent selection of spices, cereals, and anything else you need; though, their organic produce selection is a bit wanting. Always friendly and helpful staff. We love shopping there.

I usually stop in for just a few items at that store while I'm waiting for Walgreens to finish w my order.I love how fast I can get in & out. I can find the items for me & my dog. Plus there is so much room in the isles, it feels comfortable to be in Smart & Final.Next time I'm there. I'm really going to view what they have. I was asked a few Q's of products., I had not seen on my quick trips.I believe between the SUPER nice employees, & all the rest. You will be glad you stopped in, for a visit.

The worst customer service. I have been doing business with them for over 28 years and the manager recognized me and she refused to sell me a half case of cilantro like I have been doing since covid hit so I will not throw the other half in the trash. I even offered to pay for the full case and get one half now and the other half next time and she said no with her bold face. Very, very and very bad management.

Make sure you check your receipt before leaving store.Sale price for items on sale do not match price in cash register so you end up paying more for items on sale and you have to go back to store to get refund. Store is cheating.

I usually go to Food 4 Less. I went to Smart & Final and found that most of the same products cost at least a dollar or two more, and that their house brand bagels are practically inedible. Disappointing.

I usually shop here and Food 4 Less with my fiance all the time but my last experience was just terrible! I lost an envelope full of money and went back into the store to report it the next day. The lady who claim to be customer service was extremely rude! All I wanted to do is to inform her that I have lost my money and wanted to leave my contact information. She kept pushing me away as if I was lying then stated "Well if you lost it, I guess someone else had pick it up and found it then". Not sure if my treatment was because I'm a black women or if she was racist but I'M NEVER SHOPPING HERE EVER AGAIN! (would highly recommend shopping next door to Food 4 Less! Told them the same story and they was very willing me help me)

Prices are ok. Items I regularly buy are often out of stock. Extremely rude man named Damian put his hands on me while I was checking out. He is tall w large hands. He was posturing and extremely intimidating. I felt like I was going to be under arrest for forgetting my wallet and trying to use Apple Pay. I even asked him not to touch me, to lower his voice please, and show me to try again "his way". He refused to help me when I asked for a manager. Stating he is the manager. I own a business myself, I would fire him, this isn't the type of leadership we need in a grocery store. Had the nerve to call me combative as I was being to let me try again w my "fast pass" or "apple pay" phone payments. I can't believe he was trying to cancel my transaction and kick me, literally pushing me away, instead of helping me w a $16 transaction. Embarrassing.

Never returned anything to a grocery store. I called and whoever I spoke to said "no problem". I showed up and the cashier had it keyed in on the screen and then the manager showed up and said they don't do returns. Train your people better. The situation wasn't smart, but it was final 🤬

My dad and I were shopping in the store on 3/17/22 and we just wanted to leave a super positive thumbs up review for our AWESOME cashier Rebecca.In the past, other employees at the store I have not been the best dealings with, to be honest with you Rebecca, “Becca” should be in charge, @ minimum given a raise.

The quality of the sushi has declined sharply in the last year. The type of sushi offered seems to be not sushi at all but "American style" selections with mayonaise and sweet sauce on top. The other more traditional trays are few in variety and quality of fish has become disgusting. I have been a loyal customer of this sushi vendor since they opened at Smart & Final years ago. That ends today.

I came into the store yesterday and found exactly what I was looking for and I was checked out promptly. The cashier was very nice to me. Also, this store has exactly the frozen food that I like.

Most of the time I come here, staff is friendly. But I've had a couple of bad experiences with a checker. One time she was simply so rude that I ended up calling and complaining about how she treated me and I normally wouldn't do that. Another time they gave me grief over using manufacturer's coupons and were not going to honor my coupons. Both times management were great about it and fixed the problems. Never be afraid to ask to speak to the manager here. They want to make your experience a good one.

I love what they have in the store and it's nice to buy in larger quantities, but there are a lot of homeless hanging around and the doors don't work well. I also often see the employees in the parking lot chatting with friends or just relaxing at the outdoor tables when are clearly supposed to be gathering carts.

I've been shopping at Smart & Final Atascadero for a couple years, personally and for business. Richard has been especially helpful in taking emailed business orders and helping me find product. Prices are good. Store is clean and organized. Employees are nice. One of my favorite stores in Atascadero.

I went into the store looking for cookies, my wife has cookies and coffee for customers daily. She likes to get a good verify of flavors for the customers.She had gotten 'Baker's Batch', in the past but had lost track of the brand. She was excited when I told her that I had found the brand again.

I have constantly been told by different people that this location has bias against people of color. Never believed until today. Got in line behind this gentleman, the cashier took her sweet time as I patiently waited, and once she was done, closed the till as if I didn't exist. I walked right in front of her, just incase I was too dark for her to see me. She looked up, and dismissively and with an arrogant tone 'what did you want? 'I just shook my head and walked out and glad I didn't answer her.

It would have got five stars but sometimes it takes a while to check up out of there cuz they don't have enough checkers. But beyond that this Smart & Final has a lot of items that the other stores around don't have. It's a huge store for small Atascadero. The parking lot is a good set up also. The store is clean in the produce is always fresh. They also have good deals to its a bulk item store so sometimes you end up spending a lot but you get a lot also

Horrible attitude I have always stopped here to buy flowers for my visit to my grandparents grave or for my mom and today is the last time I'll do that the sign said 16.99 with number and the guy didn't even want to scan my flowers because if they were the wrong price he'll have to get a manager so he went to look and him and some female did something over by the flowers he came back and said 47.83 I said can I put my number in he said no because that was for some other flowers I bought them anyways because I have already been on the road for 2 hours but this will be last time I stop here...fix your customer service Brett!

I was at Smart & Final today. I have an addiction to Tootsie Roll lollipops. Your store is the only one in town to get them at in a box. Unbelievably today there were four boxes there. I only took three though. I wish you would stock motor through a lollipop boxes since you run out quite frequently. Aside from that everybody's nice the store is clean the prices are reasonable.

Since we have Smart & Final @ Atascadero i. didn't go Costco because i found all groceries in big packet like Costco.....only problem in here cashier are very rude unfriendly. Not good with customers..need a improve staff way they talk not all some of them and they are young ladies.

The Atascadero store is clean and well organized . The food is fresh, and well displayed. The rotisserie chickens are delicious and a great value at 3lbs for 6.99. The flavor is amazing! Good store for shopping!
