I'd never been to Food 4 Less before and ended up stopping by on a trip. I was very impressed! So much selection, and lots of good prices. I was especially happy with their tea bag selection.

They finally got on the bandwagon with the automatic checking stations. It's about time! I prefer to check things out myself often times, so it's a bonus for me. I don't come often though because the produce is not great quality and the organic section is meh, at best. The shipping cart never work correctly, either a wheel sticks and your having to get a running start to get it going or it pulls to one side so you gotta have one of your kids hanging onto the other side of the cart to hopefully balance it out a bit. They need to carry dairy free yogurt and cheeses. It's annoying that they don't. Employee are pretty helpful and friendly at least.

Don't use EBT here they made my wife cry in-store . The self checkout took all her EBT money because of a glitch and nobody wanted to help her , instead they told her they can't help her and blew her off. They gave her money back 2 hours later because they knew they were in the wrong.Very rude and judgemental employees even the manager made my wife cry. We are hard working people and use EBT as a supplement to our budget.

Food 4 Less has instituted a policy of scanning IDs for alcohol purchases. I don't want my Driver's license scanned. The store does not need all of the info on the ID. The info could be shopped to third parties. I am nearly seventy years old and will shop elsewhere.

The prices are good, staff are friendly and there are always plenty of checkers + self-checkout. But, I don’t recommend buying anything but non-perishables here. I’ve had so much wasted food bought here. Anytime I’ve bought bread here it molds in less than a week (sometimes 2-3 days). If I buy vegetables, fruit, or onions they rot within a few days. I don’t get it, something must be wrong with the supply line or storage. Meat and dairy has been fine. But after it happening numerous times I’ve given up and get fresh food from vons or smart and final.

The most reasonable place to shop for food in the Atascadero area. Combine with Trader Joes in the city of nearby Templeton and you have it made.

In case you didn't know it, Food 4 Less is owned by Kroger aka Ralphs. So, you will find the same products you might find at Ralphs only cheaper here.The produce selection is okay, it is a hit or miss with some of the produce freshness. If you are looking for cheap cuts of meats, this is your place.Great selection of frozen foods. I found an item I hadn't had since I was a kid. They are called Piroshki. They are a Russian pastry filled with meat and cheese. Sometimes filled with meat, cheese and potatoes think more along the lines of a Bierrock, or a Runza.

I do like shopping here. Prices are pretty good compared to the bigger chain stores. Only out of a few major choice items like cat food and ramen (flavors avail do not like). Have pretty much everything you need. Store and restrooms are very clean. Employees are nice.

Generally a good grocery experience. Every once in a while during high volume periods the line situation gets confusing and some people look like they’re cutting in line. Good prices, friendly people. Liquor is in a case which is kind of a hassle but I blame the shoplifters.

I have a love/hate relationship with F4L. The prices are great, the selection is decent, and it's close to home. But why in the world are they riding around on forklifts and stocking shelves during business hours? Dangerously high stacks of goods all over, blocking aisles, and forklift driver driving very fast with a lot of shoppers in the store. It's dangerous and unnerving to a shopper. And PLEASE try at least to enforce the mask mandate. Even the produce people had theirs pulled down while working in the store!

I love that I can get great prices for the things that I need for my family, however I tend to go shopping at night but by the time I get there they're already pulling out the pallets to be restocked. Sometimes it makes it very hard to get down the aisles having to trip over the boxes or to move them out of your way to get to items needed. Staff always seems friendly and helpful. Great prices and selection on wine. Beats paying the winery costs by far.

Nice place, got plenty of stuff. Kind of annoying how the store is laid out that you need to enter from the left, go all the way to the left of the store and then walk around the entire building to get your stuff and reach the cashier. Sure you can slide through the cashier line on the right after you enter, but it's never a comfortable thing to do. If I just want some bread, I have to walk all the around the entire store to do it. It's not a big deal, just a bit annoying. The staff here is always nice, make you feel welcome and get you in and out without talking too much or taking too much of your time. Definitely like coming here for quick visits as well as full grocery trips.

It's Food 4 Less so you get great deals, but what I like about this specific one is the super friendly and helpful staff, especially the cashiers. They have gone above and beyond helping to entertain my kids as they speedily ring up my items. They are really awesome and sweet! I appreciate them so much during this stage of parenthood. 💕

I went to purchase a few items that I needed here on the 4th of July. I have to use EBT and so when I check out I asked for bags because bags are included when you make EBT purchases in California and the dude sat there and tried to argue with me that bags are not free and was a little bit rude he ended up saying he'd cover the bag cuz I only needed one but still terrible customer service they should really have their employees know the laws and regulations in California before they sit there and argue with a customer who knows what they're talking about.

Good place that's open 24 hours. It is kind of a maze to get in. Upon entering you can only go left since the right side is the checkout area and closed off. You have to go quite a bit around till you can get to all their aisles. It was a fun little maze the first time I went in. Other than that the staff is helpful, it's nice and brightly lit. It's in a big shopping area so you can't miss it and I've never had issues finding a parking spot.

Love, Hate! I love low prices, friendly long-standing staff, and finding what I need quickly. I love the layout of the store and the product selection. BUT I absolutely HATE that they use fork-lifts all day long! We have been nearly run over, seen cans of food dropped from top shelf heights and roll to our feet and been asked to usher my small children under pallets loaded with canned food . Also they stock shelves all day long too which makes for crowded aisles occasionally.But I keep shopping there because after all....I love it. Hard to explain.

I'm done! Been shopping there for years but their failure to keep the public safe has me shopping going elsewhere. One of the checkers apparently has some sort of excuse as to why she can't wear a mask. I have no problem with her and wouldn't want anyone to lose their job over something like that. The parent company of Food for Less is Kroger foods and I believe they are large enough that they could afford to give her a fully paid vacation until things get better. If Kroger foods doesn't care about their customers I won't do business with them

Friendly service, has most everything. The bacon they package themselves is great quality compared to that prepackaged stuff. Only negative thing is their spice selection is small, if you are looking for spices like savory than you should go elsewhere.

This is my go to store for every week grocery shopping. Not only do they have everything you need to feed your family healthy but they have the prices to help you stay on budget. Check out their thick sliced bacon for a special breakfast at a great price! ALL of their staff ( from the guys stacking the shelves or behind the counters to their cashiers ) are beyond helpful, friendly and just great people. This place is my sanctuary away from or with my kids in tow.
