This serves as a cautionary note for individuals engaging in online transactions with INDOLANKA CASH & CARRY (ARTESIA, California) shop. Previously, we procured Sri Lankan goods from this shop, encountering an unfavorable incident with our recent order.Our purchase included three packets (8 lb) of roasted red rice flour, alongside other items. While all items were delivered, we discovered spilled flour within the package. Upon inspection, we noted that one rice flour packet was damaged, and the seller had haphazardly used sellotape to address the issue before dispatching it to us.In response to our complaint, the seller proposed a partial refund, expecting us to bear half the cost of the damaged package. Rejecting this, we offered to return the package, requesting the seller cover the postal charges and provide a full refund. However, our request was denied initially.The following day, the seller agreed to send a FedEx label for the return. But, they sent a refund receipt accompanied by a message stating, "We do not want to spend our good money on bad; do as you wish. You can discard the item” This contradicted their earlier commitment to sending the label and displayed a lack of consideration for our situation.Our overall experience with INDOLANKA shop was disappointing, marked by poor communication and their refusal to take responsibility for the damaged item (Although they refund the amount after some harsh words over the phone). To add to this, the seller's unwarranted statement about not allowing us to make future online purchases with them reflects their questionable customer service. We share this account to alert potential online shoppers about the unsatisfactory experience we had with INDOLANKA shop.

Rare to find Sri Lankan items. Helpful recommendations on products upon request. Fair pricing. Lowest cargo service $6 per sf. Went beyond their limits in finding some missing items in Colombo . They were there from the beginning to the end with their cargo service. I have used their cargo service several times.

Some of their snacks are spoiled, and some of them are contaminated, Ex. Ponnonam Brand Products. I found a Millipede in one of the snack containers and have images and video of this.The person at the counter is very rude, getting angry easily, and not customer friendly. Experience is the best teacher! They do not deserve a star rating!

According to the name, this grocery store hidden in the corner of Pioneer blvd and South Street in predominantly Asian Indian Artesia has become the place for shopping among Sri Lankans’ and South Indians. The store carries freshly imported Sri Lankan fish and the best quality Sri Lankan canned food. To add during weekends they cater freshly made short eats, lunch packets, milk toffees, kottu Rotti, lamprais and many more Sri Lankan dishes. The lamprais, the hybrid version of the Dutch is a major seller at this place. Only limited number is available over the weekend. The lamprais which comes in a oblong box looks from outside just another lunch box but when you open the box the presentation is immaculate with lots to offer.

We {THE FAMILY} has been COMING here for two or three. My Wife is from Sri Lanka. She liked coming here because she found items that came Sri Lanka. but that has changed . She said she will never come here again has long she is alive.. FOR what the owner did to her.to explain.... before the Family went back to Sri Lanka for vacation. My wife wanted to ship three big boxes and my Son in Law three boxes too. The owner said it would arrive around the end of the month. Well it was two month late.My son in law was very mad. called the owner to complained. So when boxes finally arrived in SRI LANKA. THEY TO PICK THEM UP. THE OWNER SENT A E-MAIL TO SHIPPING CLERK. SAYING MY WIFE AND SON IN LAW DID NOT PAY FOR SHIPPING. YES THEY HAD THE RECEIPT. BUT THEY HAD TO PAY AGAIN. MY WIFE CRIED. I have been in the retail business all my live. i have never heard no owner doing to this to a customer just because the complained.So think twice about shopping here. What i wrote here today is all true

Very very poor customer service and very bad cargo service..who owner of the Indu Lanka store Mr.jude Perera make me crazy during shipping my packages..gave him packages beginning of the April and it’s took 4 months to arrived.. and no any responsibility,communicate or any service..also finally after little arguments he make me hard time to pick up my packages and he sent email “I didn’t pay freight charges and don’t release any packages with out charged again..I already paid for everything before we send it and he tried to make me trouble last minute..I just got my packages before 4 days come back to USA..ITS VERY DISAPPOINTED FOR ME ABOUT HIS CARGO SERVICE..DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE ANY MORE..
